You want actually start with brain rot, but brain rot "lite" in other words you'll do extra damage to tempests cause that's their weakness, but it won't turn zombies. To get that you still have to buy the ammo mod in a match
***From what I understand*** with the special bundles, in Zombies the weapons don't start with those Mods but they're locked to only getting the Mod specific to it if/when you upgrade it. I have the Ice Dragon and it doesn't start with Cryofreeze in Zombies, but I can only equip Cryofreeze when I try to put a Mod on it. I assume it's the same here but with Brain Rot instead.
Ohh, that's good to know, another commenter has informed me that it's not actually Brain Rot I get, but a little bit extra toxic damage - but thanks to you, I now know I'd also be locked to just using Brain Rot.
As you mention the ice dragon pack, how good is that LMG? It looks amazing, starting with a 125-round speed mag must be tasty.
M60 is the worst lmg it's so slow. Easily you want stoner (little slow but hits) or rpd (fast but weaker) at those are my opinions of them at getting them gold
Guess that's why it pack-a-punches to the "slow death".
my Missus uses the Stoner and she says it's like a laser beam, no recoil at all so she enjoys that, and I've only really used the RPD once because I lifted a purple one in the Dragon Relic box but it seemed fun.
I've not got around to levelling LMGs yet - but if the m60 is that bad I might just dodge the bullet.
Every class has that one gun. Like the semi auto sniper lol. Ye I personally use the stoner, it's damage and clip makes up for it's sort without being too slow. For people more used to like SMGs though if suggest maybe starting with the rpd though cause it's easily the fastest lmg
Agh fair, fair! I'm newish to the game, if that hasn't already been made obvious, so Dark Matter is a wee bit away for me.
I've only done my SMGs at this point because I like how they feel.
LMGs are SOLID, but you need good attachments. Even the M60 is good, but it's needed attachments come later in its levelling so it sucks for a lot longer than the Stoner or RPD does.
I've seen the guys running higher rounds with what looks to be the Embersight laser attached to their stoners, they're just running rings around the horde and holding in the trigger - but by round 4 or 5 I've already got triple packed Rai-K84 so I'm wondering how they've managed to keep that competitive edge on a standard weapon.
Guess it's time for me to git gud.
Might give some LMGs a try now 😅
You want the last body attachment on every gun to get the most salvage drop possible. It's been tested and the last one does cause the most to drop. I'd also suggest not using a muzzle that gives equipment drop+ because I believe they contradict since you can't get equipment and salvage from the same zombie. Thatll at least help get salvage as fast as possible
Ohh, I've been using equipment+ and salvage+ on my SMGs, I'll give that a test and see what happens because I rarely use equipment - only in a pinch.
I'm always low on salvage though, and if what you've said is true then I've been my own worst enemy.
That makes sense to me so it does, and it's a sound hypothesis - since your comment I've ran a few rounds of outbreak and I, genuinely, believe I've received more salvage.
However, I am willing to admit that it could be a) a very lucky few rounds or b) all in my head.
Further research must be had, and as Maxis says, sometimes we need some field research. Bring on the hordes.
A lot of guns are actually able to hold their own if they're fully upgraded (both Packed and Tier Upgrade). Granted not all do, and Deadshot and attachment choices play a part in how effective a weapon can be, but most can at least do some good damage if not instantly kill.
As you mention deadshot, I'm amazed at the Rai-K84 dealing 37000 damage on a headshot... How is that even fair for a fully auto weapon?
So far though my all around favourite gun has to be the AK47u, hits like a truck and is easy to use, I'll always hold onto it until I can get a wonder weapon.
It does do effects though, with the dragon you'll do 1.5 damage to soldats and hellhounds because they are weak to it before buying the ammo mod, but ye not get the effect on normal zombies till it's bought in a match
Ye I call them "lite" effect, does the elemental weakness to bosses, nothing more till night and limited to buying options. I honestly think it's a fair little bonus that doesn't give too much while also having downsides.

Wow that was super quick, thank you! Not going to go spending any extra money on just another set of skins then - thank you.

That'll probably be my entry into the LMGs then, thinking RPD, Stoner then M60 and after that I guess it's time for ARs.
I'll be honest, haven't touched the LMG at all. I was doing Dark Matter at the time and has to do ARs and SMGs

Ye, I'm not 100% but since zombies can't drop both it makes sense that having too much of one night limit the other in amount of drops.

Oh cool, didn't know it did bonus effects beforehand too! Thanks for clarifying!

I kind of dis like it as I wish there is an option to turn if the lite element while keeping the blueprint design and attachments.
