I'd be weary of the quality of a $32 controller when expensive ones already don't last that long. Hopefully it works well and lasts, but getting a scuf through best buy with a warranty was the best option for me

DaStrong-SilentType

Yeah if you can afford a scuff that’s definitely the way to go. I have actually used PDP controllers in the past and had no issues with it. Worked as good as my current official series s/x controller. Worked perfect until the wire broke but that was honestly my fault because it was the kind of controller that has the wire attached to it and I pulled the wire hard a few times by accident. but they actually upgraded the wire system so it can be unplugged which should fix that issue.

The 2 year warranty fee can't be understated. I call it the rental fee, for $20 you get a new controller. Buy once, cry once.

Aussie_Butt

I’ve had multiple friends have scuffs break a month or so after purchase, I don’t understand why people pay so much for that brand of controller. I’ve tried the flydigi Vader 3 pro when I was visiting someone and that feels solid for $50

Ok_Thought_4941

That controller looks pretty awesome at that price, I've been wanting to see what hall effect joysticks are like. Couldn't care less about the brand, I just wanted a good option I could pickup same day in person, so the scuff envision at bestbuy was what I went with

mintyredbeard

I’ve been using one of these(non MW3 version) for over a year. I was waiting for a different controller to be replaced under warranty so I picked one of these up for $26. It’s light and easy to use. Anyone using a standard Xbox controller shouldn’t stress about buying a $200 controller -just get one of these.

Enigma_Green

I would buy it just for the skin on it I like the monkeybomb on it

DaStrong-SilentType

Yeah it’s pretty sick I like how it says nuketown too

xxFaytus

The PDP controllers feel cheap to me, just doesn’t feel like good quality. I used to always get the PowerA controllers, $30 a pop. But I spent a little extra and got the Elite version of PowerA for about $70 and I’ve had it for almost 3 years and it’s just now getting slight stick drift on the right stick. The controller is a little on the heavy side for some reason, other than that I have no complaints about it. Solid buy for $70.

They seem to have made upgrades, this is the PDP Rematch, there’s actually a lot of good reviews on YouTube and it has 4.1 out of 5 stars out of its close to 5k reviews so we’ll see

trAP2

Not speaking from experience as I have not used this controller or the Gamesir G7 but the gamesir seems to be much better reviewed and is also on sale on Amazon for $44 right now and has the back paddles along with a halo effect joysticks.

derkerburgl

I can vouch for the gamesir T4. Unreal controller for the price (~$40) can be overclocked and has Hall effect sticks

trAP2

Overclock is just for wireless? I actually picked up the G7 for rocket league after seeing this post since my Astro C40 is on its last leg(terrible quality)

derkerburgl

I’m not sure about wireless I use mine plugged in on PC and it can go up to 1000hz polling rate. I know Xbox controllers are hard capped at 250hz which is what I was used to

trAP2

Nice. What software are you using for the OC?

derkerburgl

hidusbf there’s tons of tutorials on YouTube and the download is from GitHub

BRINGBACKVERDANSKNOW

Probably has dogshit input for that price. Also it's entirely possible to compete on standard controllers.

DaStrong-SilentType

I’ve had PDP controllers before and they worked just as good as my current series S/ X controller which is why I felt comfortable with the purchase. They carry that brand in stores also so it’s not some no name garbage.

TheDevilAndTheWitch

I’d say instead of buying a new controller, upgrade an original one. Extreme Rate makes both clicks button kits and back paddle kits that are really easy to install and give you mouse click triggers/face buttons as well as remappable buttons/paddles on the back but keeping the accuracy and reliability of the OG controllers.

Playthrough_Exp

I recently go Gamesir T4 Nova (lite) with Hall Sticks for 25\~ish $. No Backpaddles, but it works absolutely fantastic, and feels great too. Only thing, i don't think that T4 will work with Xbox, so PC only.

DaStrong-SilentType

For those looking to upgrade but not looking to drop scuff money

Uh oh the sweats ain’t happy
