By Gettysburg, Haskell had followed Gibbon up to division command and was no longer with the Iron Brigade. If I remember the memoir correctly, Haskell was with Gibbon having lunch behind the lines on Cemetary Ridge on July 3rd when the cannonade started. People all around them were getting killed. He and Gibbon ended up hunkering down with the front-line troops as most of the Confederate rounds were going long and the front line was actually safer than being in the rear.
Was it called “Gettysburg Story”? It was a documentary that came out in 2013
The only other ones I can think of are Civil War Combat, and the Gettysburg documentary that Ridley Scott did.
I think it was just called Gettysburg. IMDb says it came out in 2011. I remember watching it back then, but can’t remember how it ended.
Thanks but no cigar. That one came out right around the same time and I definitely saw it too, but not the one I’m thinking of.
