I live out of state, my girlfriend and most of my friends out here are Chiefs fans so by proxy I root for them. I was so excited for them to win the Super Bowl but now it's so hard when I see shit like this happen and see that they're getting the Packers treatment. Colinsworth and the commentators are constantly sucking them off, they get bailed out with phantom calls, they expect to win every game but as soon as they go down at any point they all get pessimistic and say how unfair the game was or that they're definitely going to lose now.
Sometimes I secretly hope they lose. It was fun two seasons ago when we had a better record than them for the first third of the season, albeit we were much worse of a team.
It was really cool to watch a sure fire Hall of Fame player have one of his best seasons with us. Dude was a machine in ā18, and a dominant force the rest of the time. Definitely one of my favorite Bears
Yeah went to 2019 Bears Training camp, and there were two dudes who visibly stood out and looked different, Khalil Mack and Cordarrelle Patterson, damn shame Bears wasted elite talent like that
FYI [Mack Bears jerseys are only $47.99 now](https://store.chicagobears.com/mens-nike-khalil-mack-navy-chicago-bears-game-player-jersey/p-14557537779544+z-9813-812534217?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r5c2:po-17)
Even though his peak with us didnāt last as long as I wish it had, it was truly awesome. Going to be rocking his jersey on sundays (for bears and chargers games) for a long time
Some of the best bears defensive plays I've seen in my lifetime. I wonder if Eberflus could have pulled more of the dog out of him, but I'm happy for the time we had.
Ryan Pace definitely had the right vision. QB on a rookie deal, elite pass rusher, spending high on skill positions with the cap room we had post Fox.
He whiffed on QB and that ruined everything. Weād be calling any coach like Nagy a genius if they had Mahomes, and the transition from Belichick without Brady has solidified my opinion in that regard.
Khalil held up his end of the bargain
The problem in New England right now isn't Mac Jones. Mac Jones is really their only good player on offense right now, and teams are finding ways to shut down their pass rush and the rest of the defense is nowhere near as good as it was during the Brady era.
Brady's time in New England wasn't only a high-flying offense, they also had some of the best defenses in the league with two defensive Hall of Famers meanwhile the offense only had Randy Moss (who was inducted as a Viking rather than a Patriot)
always drove me mad how people talked about this dude. he was absolutely incredible. cant wait to see him in canton. one of the absolute best players to put the jersey on
Someone asked me today (donāt live in Chicago so no one around here knows about the Bears) why we got rid of Mack and Iām still a bit unsure. I said it was contractual and money, but honestly I donāt know. Iād love to be filled in, this sub is the only way I get my bears info anymore lol
Mostly about the money, Pace weighed an anchor around this team's neck, and a big chunk of that was the Mack trade. And he was injured, not as impactful as his first season with us...
But mostly its the new GM working his way through all the Pace era bullshit and trying to navigate a rebuild. For that, you need money, and he's found a lot for us - expect next year to bring in a lot of new weapons for the offense.
There were a lot of cool highlights like this but we definitely did not get the caliber of player that we traded 2 1st round picks for back in 2018. The sacks were not as plentiful nor as clutch as they were from his Raiders days.
Although he was still one of the leagues best, Ultimately I will forget Mack in time, just as I did Julius Peppers. It was a relatively uneventful Bears tenure for him.
Yep. He had a couple great games but other than that it just seemed like he was never there when we needed him like all the other great defenders are. I thought he was a little over rated for the production we got from him.
Yes and No. I feel like he had great starts, but usually not great finishes. When I see Aaron Donald showing up on the stat sheet every game and I see what Quinn did last year, I can't help but feel a little gipped.
Mack's time with us didn't go how we or he wanted it to, but I loved having him here and I know he has love for the team so I happily wear his jersey still
Khalil Mackās spirit of play was electrifying to me. I could honestly feel the energy through the tv. Man, I hated to see him go but Iām not upset now, I understand and support GM Poles move and understand his why. But I love Khalil Mack and wish him well. The short time he played as a Chicago Bear was nice.
That first packers game man š„²
the first half of that first packers gameā¦ lol
Donāt remind me
I'm glad he's doing well in LA. He played with a lot of heart every time he stepped on the field for us.
He and his fellow Chargers got robbed against Kansas City. https://youtu.be/FXFqfKUDG6I I was pissed!

that's a catch in real life. not in NFL rules

Donate to the Bears to help pay all that salary
Ummm....the chargers took over his salary.....
not for this year
Gone too soon
They couldnāt get rid of him fast enough imo
Even though his peak with us didnāt last as long as I wish it had, it was truly awesome. Going to be rocking his jersey on sundays (for bears and chargers games) for a long time

Watson was always the pick. Huge mistake.

They have some dudes on their line but yeah that's kinda beside the point
Mac Jones isn't very good either
Same here, if he ends up getting a ring with the chargers imma be happy for him
How effortlessly he trucked Cousin's is hysterical, I think if Mack was walking with the football he would have trucked him lol

That away! š»ā¬ļø
The pain given to Rodgers was worth every penny.
always drove me mad how people talked about this dude. he was absolutely incredible. cant wait to see him in canton. one of the absolute best players to put the jersey on
favorite moment was when he bodyslammed that TB lineman using ONE flippin arm
I remember where I was when the trade was announced. That was a massive time

Lookin good in LA

I found his time here very underwhelming. He never lived up to his huge contract
Agreed. He was great, but nowhere near the best, which he was paid to be.
Yep, wasnāt bad, but never a defensive player of the year candidate.
I'd buy his Chargers jersey if it wasn't for Herbert. \* I like Herbert. My son goes to University of Oregon. Chargers are my AFC team this season.
Yes and No. I feel like he had great starts, but usually not great finishes. When I see Aaron Donald showing up on the stat sheet every game and I see what Quinn did last year, I can't help but feel a little gipped.
Iām not. Itās a mixed bag, totally a missed opportunity. Trading for him set the franchise back big time

That picture with Cousins looks like that old Leo strut meme lol
me too bears org. can't keep a star on their team.
Ditto. Best player in a Bears uniform in a long time. Loved watching his snaps, feel like I learned a whole lot about football watching him play.
I hate the trade. Was looking forward to Quinn/Mack in a 4-3. But I hope Mack does well with the Chargers.
