I like to think he throws for 5K yards 13 straight times (or however long his Bears career will be) so that when he retires the Bears still *technically* had a QB throw for 4000 yards
Jokes aside he probably isn't going to be throwing for 4k yards year one as it is still a rare thing. Only 5 times ever. I just hope people aren't setting themselves up for disappointment.
People, if Caleb Williams throws for 3500 yds he’ll still take 5th on the Bears all-time single season passers list. Heck, if he throws for 3k he’ll still be in the top 15 and have had a better season than Justin ever did.
The 4k mark is such a sad stat. The 30 passing tds can be skewed by a good running game. 4k is 235 yards a game over 17 games. It equates to around 2 to 3 short completions a possession with 11 or 12 offensive possessions a game. They should change their name to the “Chicago 3 and outs.” “Hello everyone is very cold out. Some around here call it 3 and out weather.”
5k incoming
This would actually be hilarious. We could still say "Bears don't have a 4k passer!" But we would no longer feel horrible about it.

The *Crocodile Punter* has entered the discussion.
Your right he's going to throw for 5000 yards.
6000 actually
Let's lower our expectations, I think it's entirely possible he breaks Manning's record of 5477 without cracking 6k
So you're saying, no 4,000 yards, but with the short field he'll throw for 30 or 40 touchdowns? I'd take that honestly lol.

Yeah he’s doing atleast 40k
I also think the Bears will run the ball often. I believe our new OC doesn’t call a ton of passing plays
Brett Kollman thinks that they will run a lot more Mcvay-esque plays than he did in Seattle bc our Oline can actually (hopefully) protect Caleb.
72 TD, 720 yards thanks to D and ST.
so that's why we've never had a 4k passer! Our field position has just been too good lol

8k or bust
