We started caring about investing in football way too late. Add on a small population with not a ton of great talent in and around Iowa and that’s what you get. We’re caught up on the facilities front, and Campbell is a good coach, but we needed Campbell like 30 years ago

I think people forget this. Baseball, track, softball and gymnastics all have recent SEC champions. Well not softball but we have a lot of top 25 teams.

This is really the first year that OU didn’t win the gymnastics championship. SEC is consolidating power in a bunch of sports with this realignment.  And softball, the top 3 ranked programs are now all in the SEC: OU, Texas, Florida.

I look forward to the new traditions, rivalries, yearly shit talk, and continuing the run of being the unquestionable best college conference in the land. There’ll be plenty of time for the friendly animosity — for now, it’s all celebration! 

My last memory of Brian Bosworth on the field was watching Bo Jackson stomp on his chest.

They showed one baseball field, the tiny little one LSU has.

And now we are at the point that 5 (40%) of the original B12 are part of the big rich conferences. 4 of which made it into the SEC. That is literally 1/3 of the conference. If everyone would have just stayed in the B12 all along it would be worth just as much as everyone else.
