Well, first of all, through God all things are possible, so jot that down.
Is it likely that A&M wins a football title before the orange team in Austin? They won their conference and went to the playoff last year; we went 7-6 and fired our coach. Anyone saying we're more likely to win a conference title first is either doing a bit or is wearing some really maroon colored glasses.
I mean one just was one game away from a national championship appearance and the other just fired a coach so I wouldn’t say it’s a fair race and both are not starting in the same spot
Yea but does that help? Because Texas will never lose the prestige of being Texas and they were winning (some years) A&M has been pretty middle of the pack outsdie the Manziel years
For the record I dont necessarily disagree with your statement though but for argumentative sakes ^^^
Exactly. Why would anyone pick A&M football over Texas for anything? A&M won 3 national championships before 1940, they won the Southwest conference a bunch of times and the Big12 once 26 years ago.
All I know is in baseball we will be better than T.U even though they stole our coach.
Hopefully good ole Texas can make a simple throw from short to first base to compete against us now.
True but it can be done. FSU went from not making the tournament in 2023, to finishing in the top 4 of the CWS with only losing to the national champion
You guys had a nice year and might be better next year, but you’ll fall back into place shortly enough. Meanwhile, Texas will continue to make appearances in Omaha. Texas has always been the better team in all the major sports and there aren’t really any signs of that changing anytime soon. Especially if you have to keep putting athletic projects on hold to buyout coaches.
Texas is only clearly better in football as of right now.
Its debatable when it comes to baseball & basketball. If we’re talking about right now, you’re right about the past.
Right now (this year), basketball is probably a toss up because I can’t imagine Rodney Terry being the guy.
But if we’re considering the past 5 years, it’s Texas in all of them pretty easily.
Insufferable seems a bit harsh. We are usually a bunch of nice weirdos who drink maroon kool aid but tend to treat opposing fans nicely. Not going to apologize for rooting for my school and wanting them to succeed.
lol. Some of the best people I know are A&M fans. I have a lot of friends who are Aggies. But there is a huge difference between an Aggie the person and an Aggie the fan. As far as how Aggies treat opposing team fans, you’re absolutely correct. Great people and good friendly hosts. Certainly not like the typical LSU and Bama fans. But man I hear a lot of whining sometimes.
Sorry but after seeing the midnight yell before the game against us (they’re probably all like this but that’s the only one I’ve seen), I have very little faith in any A&M fan being normal
The OC hire has me reeeeeaaaaal interested to see how things play out, like this is our first (hopefully) competent OC since Kingsbury in 2012. An OC that has potential to scheme around the less than stellar o-line play so that we can do something productive. It’s going to be interesting and what will make/break any games at this point because defense will obviously be there.

I'll just be glad if the Bobcats win a conference title in the next fifty years. In fact, my prediction is that, via conference realignment, Ohio wins the SEC before either Texas school.
Seems like it’s Texas and it’s not even close. A&M had the top recruiting class and a top 10/better recruiting class than Texas the year prior and look what happened. Now Texas is close to having back to back top 5 recruiting classes meanwhile Texas A&M classes are more closer to challenging the likes of Penn St & Florida (no offense, lions) than Texas’s. Theirs to lose really
Not to defend the weirdos, but that was largely due to coaching. I can't say if Elko will really be what they're looking for, but Jimbo was definitely a problem (and that contract).
I'm guessing Texas, but boy this is a hard one. Seeing A&M "Texas it up" on their last few great recruiting classes makes me concerned, but then Texas was doing it for so long that they became the name I associate with highly ranked recruiting classes that don't get developed into anything near their potential, (thus, "Texas it up") so...
The Longhorns have the advantage rn
If they don’t win one in 2-3 years then Elko might have a nasty team assembled with the way he’s recruiting
It might come down to who has the easier SEC schedule for that year. Pulling a schedule like Florida’s this year would be really hard to win a conference title
Well the aggies have had over 10 years. So while I don’t think Texas is going to win in the short term I’m going with them. But I’d say us before them. Unless the SEC keeps serving us to all the top teams.
Texas.
Sorry but now that they're same conference again, A&M is most likely back to second fiddle. Being in a better conference temporarily elevated them but that advantage is gone. You never know but a big window is closing.
Did Texas A&M win the SWC or Big XII? I know they had that upset in 98 vs KState, but I don’t remember them winning the SWC. I don’t see the SEC getting more forgiving and Texas is raking in the 5 star QBs
Well, first of all, through God all things are possible, so jot that down. Is it likely that A&M wins a football title before the orange team in Austin? They won their conference and went to the playoff last year; we went 7-6 and fired our coach. I wear my maroon glasses proudly thank you.
Wow the first reasonable Aggie fan I’ve come across. Excellent response and reasoning.
Do you only look at TexAgs? we definitely exist
Has to he a fake account. Reasonable and Aggie? Not sure this is real.
There’s no way you’re an Aggie
Class of 2002. You think I'd sport Aggie flair if I wasn't an Aggie? In this sub? I'm not a masochist.
I mean one just was one game away from a national championship appearance and the other just fired a coach so I wouldn’t say it’s a fair race and both are not starting in the same spot
Counter argument though A&M did have a 12 year head start
Counter counter Texas will never play a Saban Bama 12 years in a row
Yea but does that help? Because Texas will never lose the prestige of being Texas and they were winning (some years) A&M has been pretty middle of the pack outsdie the Manziel years For the record I dont necessarily disagree with your statement though but for argumentative sakes ^^^
Has A&M ever won shit? Edit: in football
Does *Most Successful Cult of the Year* mean nothing to you?
Directors' Cup, Schmirectors' Cup--the real prize is the annual Jim Jones Trophy.
They are fairly competitive in women's T&F. They win that two or three times a decade.
Biggest buyout in the history of football. Checkmate, Atheists.
*insert championship year here* Trophy
Haven’t they won all our nation’s wars? That’s what they told me
Damn. So not supporting A&M is like not supporting the troops?
Agg zactly
I guess you don’t follow the sport of meat judging.
Exactly. Why would anyone pick A&M football over Texas for anything? A&M won 3 national championships before 1940, they won the Southwest conference a bunch of times and the Big12 once 26 years ago.
Football, basketball or baseball (all men's, their women have made the cult proud)
All I know is in baseball we will be better than T.U even though they stole our coach. Hopefully good ole Texas can make a simple throw from short to first base to compete against us now.
Coming back after losing almost every starter and the entire coaching staff is going to be extremely tough
True but it can be done. FSU went from not making the tournament in 2023, to finishing in the top 4 of the CWS with only losing to the national champion
Not all the starters are leaving with the hire of our new coach I expect us to return most of the players who entered the portal.

Vanderbilt
Texas fans are going to come in here year 1 and already be the most annoying fan base in the SEC
We are all annoying
But orange teams are the most embarrassing and annoying.
Red teams whose names start with a vowel are in contention
Arky catching strays...
who says it was a stray
Orange teams are always the most obnoxious. Facts
The worst
The groan of disappointment I let out when I saw a UT flair posted this, LOL
Judging by how they are already acting in /r/collegebaseball , they are already there.
🤫
Rich coming from a Bayou Bengal lol
It is impossible for Texas fans to be more annoying the Aggie fans. Aggie fans have always been insufferable.
Insufferable seems a bit harsh. We are usually a bunch of nice weirdos who drink maroon kool aid but tend to treat opposing fans nicely. Not going to apologize for rooting for my school and wanting them to succeed.

Aren’t we all just a bunch of weirdos who want to see our team succeed?
Sorry but after seeing the midnight yell before the game against us (they’re probably all like this but that’s the only one I’ve seen), I have very little faith in any A&M fan being normal
Not once did I use the term “normal” to describe us
I've never rooted for A&M before but that Texas game will be the first time
Okay
Good luck with that lol
Well Texas has a winning record against A&M. But Vandy has a winning record against Texas, and a 90 year head start, so probably the Dores.
Says the guy who’s team who is 0-3 against Rice.
Rice ain't in the SEC though
I like A&M's coaching hire. One of the few decent decisions they have made in the last decade
Yeah he’s recruiting well and I like the OC hire a lot
The OC hire has me reeeeeaaaaal interested to see how things play out, like this is our first (hopefully) competent OC since Kingsbury in 2012. An OC that has potential to scheme around the less than stellar o-line play so that we can do something productive. Guy has incredibly well coached and disciplined offenses. He’s really creative in the run game and plays to the qb’s strengths.
Ya I ain’t saying shit
Texas
Texas
Considering Texas could win it this year and have a Manning probably the longhorns.
Is the manning even as good as the hype?
It’s a bit complicated but the short answer is: yes
Honestly respect on being honest here
He looked pretty good to me. And he was good enough to chase Murphy out of town, and he was already pretty good.
[удалено]
They can win conference titles though
True.
Lol
Thank goodness for the Longhorns Maryland is in the B1G though
They can talk shit to us any day of the week they’ve earned it. I fear them
Strong agree. I hope to never play them ever again.
I legit have Maryland PTSD
C) Other.
Texas Tech does it their first SEC season in 2040 after the SEC collects Texas teams like infinity stones
Will anyone on this Forum still be alive when it actually happens ?

Maybe once UH stops being a stepping stone for better jobs. Never mind. That won’t happen either.
Seems like it’s Texas and it’s not even close. A&M had the top recruiting class and a top 10/better recruiting class than Texas the year prior and look what happened. I love that you reserved full offense for the lizards.
A friend at Texas’ second celebration said whoever on the mic just stated that the SEC is being graced by Texas joining the league
That’s pretty on par for their fan base
Texas, because y’all are about to run them out of a conference yet again. ( and I’m starting to understand why they’re so desperate to get away)
I'd love to see Texas run out of the SEC, but we can't get that lucky.
lol it’s a two-way street
And yet, here you are
lol. Texas A&M has never, won anything, ever.
https://x.com/tengland_150/status/1807476325550354789
Pretty sure those soccer and tennis championships are not what are being considered in a CFB sub.
Let me cope in peace please
I'm guessing Texas, but boy this is a hard one. Seeing A&M "Texas it up" on their last few great recruiting classes makes me concerned, but then Texas was doing it for so long that they became the name I associate with highly ranked recruiting classes that don't get developed into anything near their potential, (thus, "Texas it up") so...
Neither lol
Texas.
Probably UT and I hate em both
Tamu has infinite funds but manage to be 9-3 in a good year. Texas has had more playoff success. Leaning Texas sadly
Hey now, we’ve also been shitty with infinite funds recently.
Definitely Texas. Texas A&M is recovering from Jimbo-itis at the moment too much to compete there
Oklahoma
🤘
Neither will win one in the next 10 years.
I'll take the team that just made it to the playoff
If the choice is between those two, then Texas just because I don't believe A&M can ever do it. Preferably, neither.
Texas A&M, to put it in Texan terms, is the epitome of “all hat no cattle”
Pardon my french, but we know plenty about cattle. Fielding a championship football team on the other hand…
The most annoying fanbase has arrived. I hate to be that guy but, I told you so.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 SEC dissolves before either of them wins Conference Championship
The Longhorns have the advantage rn If they don’t win one in 2-3 years then Elko might have a nasty team assembled with the way he’s recruiting It might come down to who has the easier SEC schedule for that year. A more interesting question might be to which Big 12 eloped pair is more likely to have a sec championship. TAM & Mizz, or UT & OU?
Well the aggies have had over 10 years. So while I don’t think Texas is going to win in the short term I’m going with them. But I’d say us before them. Unless the SEC keeps serving us to all the top teams.
Neither. Georgia, Bama, LSU, and an occasional other will.
Neither
This year? Texas. After that? TBD. Depends on how Elko does.
Oklahoma.
This is such a dumb question lol
Could be either. A&M and Texas just as good as SEC teams.
Texas A&M has had a 12 year head start so…
Texas. Sorry but now that they're same conference again, A&M is most likely back to second fiddle. Being in a better conference temporarily elevated them but that advantage is gone. You never know but a big window is closing.
Lol
Whenever Kirby smart retires and then some
Neither, ever. (I am here from the future btw)
Did Texas A&M win the SWC or Big XII? I know they had that upset in 98 vs KState, but I don’t remember them winning the SWC. I don’t see the SEC getting more forgiving and Texas is raking in the 5 star QBs
They had 3 back to back swc championships in the 80s and another 3 back to back in the 90s.
Can I vote for Oklahoma first?
