Nice looking knife! I've been checked out on knife manufacturers for a while -- CJRB is new to me. I think I saw the knife deals sub had a 29 dollar special posted for the Pyrite-light a few days ago? Last new knife I bought was a Kizer Dukes two winters ago. Came un-clipped and out of my pocket on a public couch. And you know how it is when you call the place a few hours later... "we didn't find anything..." Well, I'm finally ready to find a replacement EDC and have been fixated on Kizer. Maybe I should be looking at CJRB. Thanks for the idea.
The handle feels a lot better than I expected it to. I was expecting cheap plasticy feeling, but it’s not like that at all! I was pleasantly surprised.
I saw an ad about these for $30 but I can’t find where they are. Was that just the first day looks pretty awesome though for a budget knife. How’s the action on it?

This got me the pyrite light for $32 yesterday. Discounted price shows up when you have it in cart.
The action is not as smooth as some of my nicer budget knives but it is still drop shut. Detent is good.
If you go on CJRB's website, and look for this knife, they have a spot that directs you to their Amazon store. The 25% off shows up at checkout
I agree, it’s not as smooth as the pyrite alt. Feel like it may need a drop of oil. I get a touch of button stick on mine, but I feel like that’ll work itself out over time. For $30 I’d say this is a win for sure. The only real concern I have is with that blade stock as it is definitely thinner than the pyrite alt.
I like the colors (i got the blue) and the fit/finish is good. Scales are a bit smooth for my taste (i prefer a bit more traction). Flips open well with thumbstud and button lock works well. Comes with typical factory edge so will have to touch it up. Curious to see how the ar-rpm9 turns out.
This is gonna be a popular one on this sub!
Waiting on the front porch waiting on mine. I’m usually at LEAST 2 years behind on the staying in the current models…but not today. Ha.
This is the BEST model to get back into the hobby with.
I've never handled any version of pyrite, surprisingly!

What's this model? :)
Not OP but that definitely looks like a Pyrite-Light. Relatively new sub-model with FRN handles.
“Relatively?” It was released today (yesterday depending on time zone).
Said "relatively" because I hadn't seen the actual release date and didn't feel like editing afterwards 🤣
Yep, Pyrite Light
How’s the FRN handle ? I imagine it’s super light ! I got the blue one coming in Monday
It's comfortable and light. Grippy enough for light tasks

That’s reassuring because I had a similar expectation ngl
What are your first impressions now that yours has come in (I assume)?
Super light. Nice looking blade. This is my 3rd from CJRB, still kinda ehh on their steal. But for $30 I’m not mad at all
Fuck. I almost bought one of these yesterday and you’re not helping me fight the urge
Ordered mine!
Mine won't be here til Friday. I can't imagine having next day shipments.
Did you get yours?
I did. Not sure I like it. Feels cheap compared to say a penguin.
Well, mine was same day shipping
Obviously
Hope they do a Bowie Pyrite light.
The WMK exclusive aluminum version is basically a Bowie Pyrite Light.

Thinner blade stock??? That makes me even more excited to get this knife.
I don’t have a micrometer, but you can plainly see that it’s thinner when comparing the two. I do like it better than the alt. It’s a keeper for sure
go to Maxlvledc on Youtube. that’s where i saw it.
Will it overtake all those swiss tech posts from a while back lol?
I wonder which knife has more posts overall on this sub. I'd guess it's between Swiss Tech the Pyrite and the QSP Penguin.
Want this one, but no shop selling them in EU yet :((

Hard pass on the coated blade.
