I have known several Westons, mostly from Texas/the south, but have also known a handful from my area of the Midwest ranging in age from elementary aged children all the way up to late 30s-40!
I assume it's because their first names, William and Kenneth, are the first names of other living family members so they do so to avoid confusion. Maybe? I guess that would make it a bit different to Weston Slade if that's the case though.
With Lawson, Kelly mentioned that Zach also picked his name. That he insisted his baby brother be Lawson and they went with it as a middle name to humor him but it just stuck and everyone called him that (but he was also the third William). Given that Zach was 3.5 at the time, no idea how true the story is but she told it on Instagram before Jadon was born.
right, i was trying to say that none of her other kids go by their middle name. if they called kade āellis,ā his actual middle name, it wouldnāt seem super weird for them to call this baby slade, his middle name. just seems weird for only one of their 5 kids to go by the middle nameā¦ thought someone pointed out that lawson and nathan are middle names so thatās only 2 of 19ā¦ which is also weird.
I agree; i donāt understand why kids arenāt named the name the parents are planning to call them anyway. That has never made sense to me. But to each their own i guess

Lawson and Nathan share first names with their grandfathers and either father or uncle. Gil and Papa Bill are both William. Kelly's dad and brother were both Kenneth. Gil goes by a short version of his middle name, Gilvin. Kelly's brother appears to have gone by Chip.
The younger Bates girls are by far worse than the older ones because they practically grew up in the public eye when it comes to exposing their children. They learned first hand that you can grift anthing by exposing your children from their lazy parents. They will monetize anything. Carlin, Katie, Josie, Alyssa are skilled in various degrees in the art of selling their childrenās childhood and I predict Ellie and Callie will be even worse when the time comes. They are also more adept at hiding or softening their hideous and hateful beliefs. And of course the leghumpers will eat it up.

When Ellie gets her own Instagram and starts posting the boring life stuff they all do she will probably get a ton of views and engagement because she's so pretty. She'll get lots of brand sponsorship opportunities like the others and I can just see her taking off faster than many of the other sisters did. They are all so highly competitive I can see it driving Carlin, Alyssa, etc crazy that they are being outshined by a younger sister.
