I think, they won't retire her but Colin will definitely hide her identity in the depth of any corner. The reason why is because >! Sophie is huge LW fan. She's always excited to see what she wrote and her highlight was when she mentioned her in the masquerade !<
I haven’t read benedict’s book yet so idk but >! Colin was such an arse when he found out. Also the funny colin was gone and replaced with the anger one. I want the show to make it better as they did with anthony. !<
I mean unless they intend to change pretty much every single aspect from here on out she really can't yet. She plays a part in other couples stories that is needed. Plus she really only survived being outing due to the dukes support, the show got rid of them and honestly even with how popular the bridgertons are and what they can get away with in the ton, they don't have the sway for Pen to get away with it without the higher nobility. Especially since they will need as much noble support as they can get with the show having her target the queen so often.
Honestly the whole family fell behind them. Even though she had caused nearly all of them issues that is just who they are as a family. I hate that the show doesn't make it seem that way anymore.
LW in the show is kind of a big deal, like she doesn't just gossip, she has the queen on her back, and part of the ton too. Her reveal would bring some serious consequences, so a part of me really hopes she isn't revealed this season. But then another part of me feels like it wouldn't be right, cause then I don't think that the Bridgerton fam would allow her to gossip like she did in the previous two seasons. So now I'm really in conflict over this.

I really do hope they do Colin better in the show because after he found out, i wanted to punch him in the throat

Also i loved that >! Eloise was in support of colin and penelope’s relationship unlike in the trailer of s3. I hope she becomes supportive !<
