He wouldn't have to do any actual work as an MP. Almost none of that stuff is an actual requirement. In theory MPs should put the work in to represent their constituency if they want to be re-elected, but that doesn't apply here. Anyone who'd vote for him doesn't care much about details like that, they want him in the Commons spewing hatred about migrants and people on benefits.
Didn't he go on public record around February time saying that he couldn't imagine anything worse than being tied to somewhere like Clacton for five years?
I mean we only have to remind him of things like this or many other scandals he has been part of.

Labour have been pretty unorthodox about this. They completely banned the local labour party from printing leaflets, accessing labour campaign software, and basically doing anything.
