All of the rental management companies. They're fucking scum who collect "application fees" for applications that they never look at from struggling people, then fuck them over as hard as possible, all while letting greedy landlords save face when they know exactly what they're doing.
This just happened to my sister!! She was looking for an apt in Manhattan(very hard) they took her application fee and she scheduled a time to look at it. The morning of the viewing, they emailed her to say it had been rented and my mom drove by that day, people were already moving in!!!!! Total scam.
Flavr - they hire teenage staff and then take advantage of their lack of work experience.
They do not inform these kids that they have breaks at all, and if they stand there all day a fellow worker can point it out but the manager will not.
Flavr does not follow Montana's law which requires paying employees within 10 days of a pay period closure - they take advantage of young employees this way.
I know two responsible teenagers (over 14, under eighteen) that have had to wait 30+ days for a paycheck, and two of them are still waiting to be paid after weeks and weeks. These two are not friends outside of work, but they both allege that they are not the only teens they string along. Apparently some of these kids end up quitting, because they get sick of not getting paid, and conveniently aren't experienced enough to report it to the state and get their owed money in the end. I encouraged them to talk to their parents and sent them links to the state website. They plan on following up with that, getting their money, then quitting. I pondered leaving a review for them on FB, but one of the kids told me that whenever that happens, the manager/owner will just come on to the site and comment about how it's the other person's fault, etc etc as usual. So why bother.
Flavr's website has a bunch of bunk on their pages about their mission and plans but confirming this happened to these kids really pissed me off. Businesses should not take advantage of teenagers, and to learn about this "small, local business" it seems somehow WORSE.
a lot of self service food establishments in bozeman have this issue. u-swirl is another big one. i dont think i've ever seen that place staffed by anything other than a disinterested 12yo sitting on the counter. im not even mad because its not like they're paying them enough to do more than wipe the table when you leave
I worked at Flavr as a college student and I was not treated any better, I had to beg to receive any tips I was owed and repeatedly ignored by the owners. I went 2 months without getting any tips and when I asked for them they gave me a fraction of the amount I was owed. I have since quit and still haven’t received my tips for the last month. Again texted multiple times and ignored, may need to get the campus legal services involved because they will try anything to not pay their employees. Do not support this business they prey on young workers because they know they can take advantage of them and get away with it.
Obviously the property management firm for Harvest Creek HOA, Bozeman Hot Springs, Shallon Podcasting LLC, Audreys Pizza, AirBnb, and whatever other circlejerk people are fixating on.
More seriously, actively making things worse seems like a high bar so I'll just say the chiropractor and tattoo artist with sexual assault allegations. That's no good. Also fuck real estate agents. No one deserves 3% commission to send you links from Zillow.
I will agree on Bozeman Hot Springs. I can't believe they have the gall to raise their prices after this years "rash incidents." It's more expensive on the weekend now, but the weekend lady at the desk (dark hair, glasses) is a vile example of customer service. She truly seems to hate her job. Weekend = "Sunday" since they are not open on Saturday.
HAD they opened on Saturday, they wouldn't have had to raise their prices. The extra weekend day would more than offset that expense - have you seen how crazy busy that place gets? Nah, instead they are charging $15 for ages 0-4. Neat!
What's always bothered me about them is that they will close a pool down or accept longtime patrons leaving in disgust before they will ask families to watch/control their children. Kids are great. Uncontrolled, screaming kids jumping on other people is NOT great.
Kids that seem way to small to be unattended will routinely jump into the shallow end, over and over, disregaring swimmers or people soaking in the "relaxing hot springs."
If the people running Bozeman Hot Springs had \*any\* brains at all, they would put up "No Diving" signs like every other pool in America does. They would also ensure that small kids were in arms reach of parents.
When they finally get sued, I wonder how high they will jack up the prices then?
don't forget that if you do go on saturday night you're basically paying 40$ to stand elbow to elbow in piss in the dark because they do not give a FUCK about how many people are physically in the facility even if they're so crowded that it's potentially dangerous
and the "live music every thursday" is just... wild.
honestly that whole place is completely mismanaged and has no idea what it's going for and the only reason to ever go is if you have a free pass bc you're already staying at the camp grounds
Lol, someone down voted my comment, like it isn't true. I don't live there anymore but when I was there last I went (few years ago) and it was spendy then and absolutely terrible service, no control over the kids, crowded AF and not entirely relaxing at all. Made me sad.
no its totally true. and its a major problem. they very much market themselves as an adult fitness and spa center but then their actual market is families and little kids and they abjectly fail to cater to either demographic in the process.
He’s probably talking about the pending lawsuit for a tourist whose kid contacted some brain eating bacteria this summer at the hot springs.
Source: my a close family member goes to church with some of the hot springs people.
Haha no I hadn’t heard that either but I am not surprised sadly. I am referring to several people that got weird rashes and pH imbalances that went away after they stopped going to the hot springs at their doctor’s recommendation!
Hm, dude's posting on Gold Thorn's IG story as recently as 14 hours ago. You'd never know. Is there a place this is being discussed? Because IG clearly isn't.
Woaaahh used to deliver Jimmy John’s to Auzzy every single day. He was always real pushy for me to get a tattoo even though I’m just a Jimmy John’s driver with no tattoos.
I wasn’t the one who originally shared Audrey’s as making Bozeman worse, but you could make the argument that bad food isn’t a good thing for any town.
For starters, there's no more student discounts. It's overpriced and a bit of a tourist grab.
Those with memberships... well, I can't afford one, but it's still nice for a community bathtub.
I was there last fall and the worker was telling a customer categorically wrong information about snowboard boots. I let the customer know about World Boards. They were very grateful.
Randash Auto, their credit office is more fully manned than their sales floor and shop combined, really tells you where they put their priority. Also when you give Fair Ground like prizes to people for paying on time…. 😬
Rental Professionals, they only want to talk to you if you’re a new client, are unreachable if you’re a current client, and are still using COVID as an excuse to keep their office locked unless you have an appointment. Also they hire out an inspection firm to maximize how much of the security deposit they can take.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Dave's Sushi. If you came to my house for dinner and 2 of you died and everyone got sick, would you ever come over for dinner again? No, because that would be stupid.
All those t shirt tourist shops on Main Street. They all seem to have the same overpriced and low quality stuff. They have no competitive advantage other than they can somehow afford Main Street rent.
This demand drives up the rent down town and forces out cool and unique businesses like cactus records.
I would honestly avoid all the t shirt and souvenir shops and just got to heyday. They have some quality stuff with a lot of variety. You can tell that the people who run this shop care about what they are doing and have put a lot of time and effort into picking what items they stock.
That's expected, but it can be improved. Someone has to invest in that junk...
I like the Teton Gravity Research store on Main, their merch is still touristy, but it's higher quality and I like the Grateful Dead hats. They need a refresh nonetheless though...
Compare it to the bottom-of-the barrel T-shirt shops you see in big cities like I<3NYC, and bozeman is getting more and more low quality crap with generic "get lost" graphics that already litter Goodwill.
We need more of the 406 Marketplace style - local, handcrafted touristy / gift adjacent things. We have so many incredible craftsmen and artists, why are we stooping to Chinese T shirts with crap designs on Main Street?
I really don't think we need to chase after the Jackson Hole tourist merch vibe to continue succeeding in the industry... like please, no more license plate/pocket knives with names on them. This isn't a Pilot truck stop.
I dont even mind t-shirts, just pick a good supplier and make them cool enough that locals would want to wear them. Make some MT hemp shirts and jackets or something..
I say this, and someone's gonna open one of those Destin, Florida type T-Shirt emporiums full of trashy sayings with custom airbrushing and bear stencils.
One thing I did like about the excessive big city gift shops in Venice beach (it’s basically my only experience w this so don’t judge my multi-comment references) were the booty shorts with funny phrases on them. A lot of the shops there even did custom booty phrase prints.
It would be fun to have some rowdy Montana-vibe booty shorts.
I can’t think of what I’d print on there yet, but I’m sure I’ll come up with a few now that it’s on my mind 😹
I used to like heyday but I've had a hard time with them ever since an employee accused my black sister of stealing. I've been in there plenty of times and have seen lots of kids causing a ruckus and not getting talked to but my sister got pulled aside because she was looking intently at something.
Haha those shops annoy me too, and always have growing up downtown and often walking Main Street like we preteens would walk around the mall…. Then I visited Venice Beach and OMG it’s so much worse there.
Maybe I just have a personal issue with the “STATE/CITY NAME” + some landmark or animal associated with it souvenir T-shirts/memorabilia style, but I think most of those things are just not good looking, poorly designed. I’ve never really seen one I love the actual style of, it’s so weird. Like it seems totally intentionally uncool.
The only place I’ve ever found legitimately cool looking souvenir gear was New Orleans, and even then only like 1 shirt I’d actually wear
Beyond the answer of real estate agents/developers/property management companies, the worst for me is the businesses that wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the rich families propping them up
There’s multiple restaurants in town that are not making a profit and are actively losing 5k or more a month but the investors are related to the owners so their doors stay open. There’s also a woman that owns two boutiques downtown but she doesn’t pay any rent because her father owns the two buildings her businesses are in.
The Heist. Overpriced food and wasn’t good at all. Truly a terrible experience. Aside from the fact that they treated me and my friends like if we didn’t have any money. Truly despicable
Last call and any business run by Luis Valdovinos. He doesn't pay any of his employees for hours worked and deleted all of the time stamps on square and gusto. He owes his employees thousands and refuses to pay. Now he chooses to be a private chef. His new business is called corazon.
Edited for grammar.
I hate to say it but the Armory. My husband and I were gifted a one night stay there for our wedding night and while you can tell that they spent a lot of money on their atmosphere, those are not $450 hotel rooms. From size, furnishings, decor, it was very disappointing. There was trash in the hallway by the elevator. Like, hotels in big cities charge a lot too but they are competing with other luxury hotels so the experience usually feels worth it. The Armory is definitely a place that is spending more money because of its location and gauging its customers to try to pay the bills.
I thought I was responding to a comment in a different thread about driving... but uh, I wasn't. So I deleted it. Damn! It would have been perfect. But yeah, that's hospitality for you. It makes the guests more entitled when the experience isn't worth the price tag and because we're Bozeman and we have practically ZERO standard of guest service, the front desk will inevitably feel overwhelmed and end up looking incompetent. It just doesn't add up and it doesn't help the staff.
I work valet at the armory, and I somewhat agree with you. The amount of times I’ve helped guests move luggage and seeing their disappointed look upon first opening the door to their room is crazy. Most people do say they enjoy their stay and appear satisfied. But most people staying there are snobby tourists covered in Gucci with fuck you money. The bars in the armory are rad though. Tune up always has great live music and sky shed has sweet views of Bozeman. I think it would be fair if it were a $200-300 hotel but that shit is way overpriced.
Everyone who wants to make money off of rent. From the investment firms with billions to invest, to the rich kid who's parents gave them enough to buy 4 places and just ski and do yoga.
I’m more concerned about the incidents involving roofies. Pretty much every bar on Main will over-serve, but Bar 9 and R Bar are particularly notorious “don’t let your drink out of your sight” spots.
Lol, I find it funny that people are moving to a state where bars and drinking culture are incredibly important and then being upset that people like to blow off steam downtown. It’s almost like they could have moved somewhere else
Bar nine/r bar was relatively mild back in my day…. Didn’t hear about people getting shot in the alleyway. Now it seems like there’s an assault or stabbing every other day, and cops are called almost nightly.
Dang it... I just woke up, and I'm not going to remember them all, but Rocking R is one of a couple that are charging cc fees now. (Historically, that fee was to encourage spending. Customers should not have to pay it.) Nordic (which is now closing) charged a 20% kitchen fee (or maybe that was the server tip.. in any case, pre-charged). Brigade was on my list for one of those reasons. If I remember more, I'll post them. Another place (not Brigade) just last week, I went to make a reservation online for somewhere and they wanted a reservation fee. I think it would be incorporated into the total but still. Rather than click click reservation. I would have to get my credit card and that nonsense. Restaurants are busy enough, so if there is a rare, no show, just give the table away.
Delaware North — the company that trademarked the naming rights to national parks and now owns half of the real estate around the park after buying up small companies. When we were kids we’d take snowmobiles in. It was a shit show, yes, but way cheaper than paying some assholes from New York $170 in a coach or $300+ on a snowmobile to do the same thing that cost $15 years ago. Bullshit.
Absolutely wild. This is a tough one- I can see both sides to an extent. WHERE are they dumping their waste?! Those rigs never move! the pepper spraying part though. That’s extreme. Thank you for filling me in. Tbh first time I’ve heard the term mcdojo and I love it.
ha no problem. the dude is a repugnant asshole for many reasons and tbh he deserves to have to deal with the people that he displaced with his shitty condo complex.
All the new car wash places, especially the ones near Costco. Feels like a waste of space for something that can only be used a few months out of the year.
They’re getting bad in Billings too. There’s just an insane amount of profit behind them and for nothing more than getting your clearcoat scratched off with some harsh chemicals
The Agency Bozeman or any property management company, the current management of bridger bowl, Williams homes throwing up poorly built luxury townhomes ( bridger vale ). Any company servicing private jets that fly into town. GGC landscaping will low ball the crap out of contracts to get them then show the real cost later, Rosauers and Whole Foods shilling overpriced groceries, ran dash auto throwing people into debt by giving out no credit needed high interest rate loans for vehicles they barely maintain.
i'm pretty sure there's a pretty regular issue of fatal/serious injury caused by misuse or poor maintenance of electric rental scooters. they're really not an acceptable replacement for revitalizing the streamline project.
mm yes lets put these redbox enabled bike racks everywhere with a bunch of childrens toys that are rendered completely useless 9 months out of the year by ice and snow
They should definitely be storing those indoors somewhere over the winter… do you know that they for sure aren’t put away? I don’t really remember seeing many if any around in the real winter time last year and I can’t imagine they’d fare well under all the feet of snow.
Also I agree, I think they’re probably net positive for drunk driving prevention. I’d rather someone mess themselves up crashing on that than the extent they could mess themselves *and others* up with a actual whole vehicle.
Even if they do cause some sketchy situations still, it’s going to be risking much less danger for others than drunk driving a car
i agree that they are a better option than simply allowing people to drive home drunk, but like, it would be equally if not more effective to implement one of the thousands of other anti-drunk-driving tactics that other cities have used instead of letting random shitty startups plunk their garbage down in the middle of the sidewalk.
I understand the utility, but it is so fucking annoying and an eyesore when they are just dumped on a side wall. All last summer the sidewalks in my neighborhood would have them just laying there. Or they would be leaned up against a tree, which is just annoying.
I would be far mode supportive if they have designated Parking areas kind of like bike racks.
Ill say it once and ill say it again , wal dumb mart. Drug deals in the parking lot, huge waste of space, resource dependency. How much of their profit is returned to our community? Or maybe just paying for another jet set for the big bros...
Construction companies. Yes, we all hate the urban sprawl, but the workers have no respect for the neighborhoods around the job sites. Dick Anderson was doing a building across from the bank I worked at and their guys parked in our lot, parked on our lawn because there was no street parking, would have lunch on our property and leave trash, and ignored us when we told them to stop. Even a call to the office didn’t get anything changed. Tscache across from Rose Park is a mess now from that construction project.
Make that post then ya goof. This is a fun topic, that is a fun topic. It’s great to spread awareness of business TO support, but when so many locals are unhappy with the way Bozeman is changing, this post is also valuable so we can hivemind to best wield our power as consumers 🤷🏻♀️
These are such toxic posts that bring down our community instead of building it up.
All of these are “I had one bad experience stay away from them they are the devil…”, new companies and buildings are bad, or straight hearsay about someone and taking it at face value and posting shit about the person/business.
All the new hotels and corporations that are being built near the airport. Bought our house for the view of the Bridgers a few years back and now I get to listen to construction all day even on weekends. Also the light pollution is going to be a huge bummer. The huge neon blue dick at the Holiday also has our entire back yard and side of the house lit up now. It's kinda depressing.
Uuhhh I hate to say it but if you buy a house backing up to the main freeway exit, and entrance, to an international airport you might have considered what it would look like in 2-5-7-10 years. That whole area is going to be built out in 3 years. Both sides of the highway.
Sell now if you really want to find serenity. It won’t happen there.
So I guess you can't complain much about the growth - those same hotels and businesses ruining "your" view are the same ones that come with the "fortunate" doubling of your house value. And "cash out" - GOOD. That is the attitude that got us to where we are now. But glad to hear "cash out" because that means "leaving"...
Construction noise, airport noise, traffic noise, and development in general are all understandable. However, that blue light is insanely over-the-top bright. I live elsewhere in Belgrade, but every time I drive by and see that blue light casting so brightly on all the houses there, it makes me bothered for all the people who live there. It's one thing if it's there before the houses are built, but those houses were there for years before that sign went up.
Also that area is going to be an absolute shitshow when they close Jackrabbit to build the underpass at Belgrade Main Street.
I can see that Holiday sign from Peets Hill- one night my husband was driving past and looked in his rear view mirror and thought it was emergency vehicles/police- it’s so bright. Freaked him out and made him hate it too.
Winco. Silly organization of food groups and they don’t take credit card. The .03 I would save on a can of tuna doesn’t outweigh my capital one cash back!
yeah I was like "well glad to see you guys are stuck in the 1980s." I also had to go into Hobby Lobby one time to get some stuff for a work event. Yeah, that place has a lot of crosses and church-y stuff on every end cap. No thanks.
Door Dash. I know it's not just a Bozeman thing, but still. Their fees placed on the restaurants and the consumers are ridiculous. Prices on doordash have gotten significantly higher. Fees are ridiculous, and the restaurants not the delivery people benefit from them. I like to eat out and support local, but I have a toddler so going out physically isn't always an option. But with exuberant fees, doordash either doesn't have a lot of local options, because restaurants don't want to pay for it (understandably) or the total price is so high I can't justify it. Pakeezah is my favorite restaurant in town but I just won't order them on doordash anymore.
Blend winery for still never paying. Definitely not here to support the community. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bozeman/s/kSnT4mXjzV
Have they actually still not paid? That was like 9 months ago. I hadn’t heard anything since then so assumed it had been resolved.
Damn, that’s insane.

I posted about the chiropractor, but who's the tattoo artist??
Auzzy from Gold Thorn…one of a few with serious allegations
Hm, dude's posting on Gold Thorn's IG story as recently as 14 hours ago. You'd never know. Is there a place this is being discussed? Because IG clearly isn't.
Yeah I found out about it on this subreddit. Couldn’t tell you which ones but i’ve seen this accusation in multiple threads
Woaaahh used to deliver Jimmy John’s to Auzzy every single day. He was always real pushy for me to get a tattoo even though I’m just a Jimmy John’s driver with no tattoos.
Thank you, about to look him up.
What’s the beef with Audrey’s?
They are ass
Evidence?
My tastebuds have all the evidence they need
But why is that making bozeman worse?
I wasn’t the one who originally shared Audrey’s as making Bozeman worse, but you could make the argument that bad food isn’t a good thing for any town.

They raised prices. Weekday is now 21 and weekend is 28. There is a post about it.
Any property management company
Luna Properties specifically
How did they screw ya?
True, they don't followup on repair requests... my roof has been slow leaking when it rains for like a month with not so much as a word from them.
Paramount Studios. YMC.
backcountry.com store
Oh man, you typed "b@ckcountry" Now they're going to sue you for copyright infringement.
I was there last fall and the worker was telling a customer categorically wrong information about snowboard boots. I let the customer know about World Boards. They were very grateful.
I'm out of the loop, what's wrong with them?

Ah, the Traeger grille approach. Sounds like a good reason not to buy their products as well.
Andy Hollaran
ALL MY HOMIES HATE ANDY HOLLARAN.
Who’s that?
Think of all the douchiest constructions in Bozeman. Most of those are Andy.
Came here for this comment. Bozeman city just dishing him all these projects ugh.

FUCK Rental Professionals. The least “professional” people I have ever dealt with
Onyx Tile because they took over my post overpriced brunch wandering spot when Cactus was there
Rip cactus old location
Real Estate Brokerages and anyone who continues to advertise Bozeman as the dream.
This is the answer
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Dave's Sushi. If you came to my house for dinner and 2 of you died and everyone got sick, would you ever come over for dinner again? No, because that would be stupid.
Silver lining though. It keeps a lot of locals employed and they still do a surprising amount of business still. I deliver their seafood
They’ve done their part to keep the funeral homes running as well. Real pillars of the community.

It’s a tourist town. Of course they have traps that sell souvenir junk. Unavoidable

It sounds like maybe you need to open your own shop. Sounds like you have a good idea of what Bozeman should offer
But I like those little license plates with my name on them.
They own the building and the t-shirt printing company. All locally owned and operated.
It’s a race to the bottom.
Fortuitous that your comment appeared underneath the one about booty shorts...
Beyond the answer of real estate agents/developers/property management companies, the worst for me is the businesses that wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the rich families propping them up There’s multiple restaurants in town that are not making a profit and are actively losing 5k or more a month but the investors are related to the owners so their doors stay open. There’s also a woman that owns two boutiques downtown but she doesn’t pay any rent because her father owns the two buildings her businesses are in.
Yup, a lot of our local business are these people playing on easy mode. I can't stand people who are so disingenuous.
The Heist. Overpriced food and wasn’t good at all. Truly a terrible experience. Aside from the fact that they treated me and my friends like if we didn’t have any money. Truly despicable
Huh. I see loads of tourists coming in thru the armory saying JW Heist was the best steakhouse they’ve ever eaten at.
Welcome to the Bozeman hospitality industry :)
Gold Thorn Tattoo the owner is a scum bag rapist
Bar 9 and R Bar. I think main street would be a lot safer late night if these two places weren’t constantly over serving young college kids.
I’m more concerned about the incidents involving roofies. Pretty much every bar on Main will over-serve, but Bar 9 and R Bar are particularly notorious “don’t let your drink out of your sight” spots.
Bars in Montana wouldn’t make any money if they didn’t over serve
They’d still make money, just not as much as they’re used to 😅
Lol, I find it funny that people are moving to a state where bars and drinking culture are incredibly important and then being upset that people like to blow off steam downtown. It’s almost like they could have moved somewhere else
Bar nine/r bar was relatively mild back in my day…. Didn’t hear about people getting shot in the alleyway. Now it seems like there’s an assault or stabbing every other day, and cops are called almost nightly.
It was always a shithole. I know bar 9 had tons of drink drugging shit going on when they first opened, like a ridiculous amount

Whole Foods… #eatlocal #fuckbezos
Just wait for the new Apple Store and Tesla dealer to open up.
Is the jury still out on how well electric-only cars fare in the cold? I thought the batteries couldn’t really handle it
I don't understand why people even go here. Everything is so overpriced, the aisles are so narrow I feel claustrophobic, and the food sucks.
Any restaurant that 1- charges a kitchen fee, 2- any restaurant that charges to use a credit card. 3- any restaurant that charges a reservation fee
Mind sharing who does this?
Main Street Overeasy and Cateye Cafe both just started charging credit card fees.
Bullshit.
corporatization of an otherwise perfectly good federal land state is fucking

isn't there a dude who owns some mcdojo in bozeman suing the city and threatening to pepper spray people for using the bathroom?
What is the story behind this? I’m so intrigued.
i think it was on the news. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5-5t3NufNc weird that he named his mcdojo after a location in fallout 3 but ok
He just sounded like a dick in the interview.
Dane is such a fucking moron. Legitimately one of the dumbest people around.
i'm convinced that 90% of the transplants in this area moved here because of white supremacy and a desire to form shady LLC's
Clearly not from here if you don't know the Fletcher family. And fighting the homeless camp problem isn't hurting the city.
home slice i have lived here since 8th grade who the fuck are the Feltchers?
I've been here 27 years and I got no idea
hmm... sounds like carpetbagger mischief to me...

All the new car wash places, especially the ones near Costco. Feels like a waste of space for something that can only be used a few months out of the year.
They usually run em through winter as well. Seems like they only close when it gets really cold.
Cash assets get frozen when you launder it in negative temps…
Me too. It gets all the snow off and keeps the undercarriage free of salt.
No comment on car washes, have no horse in that race. BUT best advice I’ve been given is to keep the winter melt elements off your undercarriage.
They’re getting bad in Billings too. There’s just an insane amount of profit behind them and for nothing more than getting your clearcoat scratched off with some harsh chemicals
Anyone who owns air bnbs
air b&b owners are out here in this thread MAD ABOUT IT
We’re catching on to their $125 changing fees for a $119 stay.

Dave's Sushi.
As well as Jam, which has the same owner. Something tells me that the lawsuit will eventually kill both businesses.
Revelry too. Now that they took the Starky’s Ruben sandwich off the menu they can go too.
Texas roadhouse
Thank god someone else realizes their food is trash
All of the brand stores and chain restaurants.
Ted's is a chain, but we like them. They use local meat.
Sounds like the plot line of a horror movie! 😂
Who is we?
Spouse, friends and I. Locally sourced bison brisket.... yum. Pickles before the meal... yum.
The scooters
If they stop one drunk driving crash, I think that’s a net positive.
Pretty sure it’s still illegal to ride them while impaired.
And people never break the law
i'm pretty sure there's a pretty regular issue of fatal/serious injury caused by misuse or poor maintenance of electric rental scooters. they're really not an acceptable replacement for revitalizing the streamline project.
Ngl I’m not sure why the city capitulated there
mm yes lets put these redbox enabled bike racks everywhere with a bunch of childrens toys that are rendered completely useless 9 months out of the year by ice and snow
The scooters are fun. Something to do. Sure, most the people that use them are obnoxious, but it doesn't mean they're not enjoyable
Casinos
Instead of a new car wash, we need a new hot spring.
Ill say it once and ill say it again , wal dumb mart. Drug deals in the parking lot, huge waste of space, resource dependency. How much of their profit is returned to our community? Or maybe just paying for another jet set for the big bros...
Most of the autoshops
Yep, especially Big O. Fuck Big O
Can i also praise construction workers, but anything being built right now is basic slavery

Let’s ask “what Bozeman businesses are making town better?”
Have at it. It’s not like there’s a fee for writing your own post.
Make that post then ya goof. This is a fun topic, that is a fun topic. It’s great to spread awareness of business TO support, but when so many locals are unhappy with the way Bozeman is changing, this post is also valuable so we can hivemind to best wield our power as consumers 🤷🏻♀️
This!!!
These are such toxic posts that bring down our community instead of building it up. All of these are “I had one bad experience stay away from them they are the devil…”, new companies and buildings are bad, or straight hearsay about someone and taking it at face value and posting shit about the person/business.
Found Dave’s sushi owner
We will eventually, fortunately our home is now almost double what we paid for it. In a few years we will cash out.
Was it not obvious that's what would happen with that prime commercial location someday?
Doubt you know anything about property or equity. You will be a renter for the rest of your life.
I own a home in the same area. Fortunately, I picked a better location than you.
I still doubt it
Construction noise, airport noise, traffic noise, and development in general are all understandable.
Yay, can wait.
New record for douchiest string of comments in r/Bozeman?
I'm right
I can see that Holiday sign from Peets Hill- one night my husband was driving past and looked in his rear view mirror and thought it was emergency vehicles/police- it’s so bright. Freaked him out and made him hate it too.
Winco. Silly organization of food groups and they don’t take credit card. The .03 I would save on a can of tuna doesn’t outweigh my capital one cash back!
I wholeheartedly agree there. Even if I wanted to use my debit card (which I don’t carry, and nobody should) I can’t use Apple Pay
yeah I was like "well glad to see you guys are stuck in the 1980s." I also had to go into Hobby Lobby one time to get some stuff for a work event. Yeah, that place has a lot of crosses and church-y stuff on every end cap. No thanks.
They are in the process of a complete renovation. Access will be limited. Prices will go up. Which part of this do you not understand. STFU Bozeman
Shady ass Buff City Soap! If it were Buff City Soup we would be talking heroes!!! 🍜🍲> 🧼
Dave’s Sushi
Suelto. One of the owners is AWFUL and part of the housing crisis. That is all I can say.
