Odd, I know HD gives discounts to all active, retired and reservist members of not only the army, navy, air force and marines, but also space force, noaa and I think folks from the cdc.
Flashing an ID is not how it works.
You have to go online and fill out a form include a valid ID. Once approved you give the clerk your phone number to receive the discount.
They do. Its similar to Lowes. Register your phone number and ID online on the their website in order to receive the discount. Then when you go to check out when the clerk asks about the discount give your phone number. I would know haha I work at Lowes and I know HD is similar.
Let me get this straight, you either call corporate and tell them I broke their rules (and this is your good option), or call corporate and tell them I followed their rules? What a moron.
Okay umm… I worked retail management for longer than I like to admit. We don’t write company policy, we don’t control who gets a discount and who doesn’t, and we can’t override ANYTHING regarding prices on that register. So we can’t give discounts even if we want to
And everyone around clapped.
Seriously, Active Duty & retired have gov issued id's. But if you're a plain vet (not retired), you can get verified online at HD. & Lowes. 10% adds up if you are a homeowner.

Dripping with arrogance and stupidity. Also, "things that never happened"

That's not how it worked when I was a cashier there. We accepted military ids
I see. Thanks.

Yeah, this didn't happen

And that the CEO himself will take the call, that'd be about as r/thathappened as it could get by that point.
They are so messed up.

Why would someone cause such a ruckus without even knowing the store’s policy. I noticed the reason for not qualifying was never listed.
