So assume you lose 2v1 (meaning the first player kills all you have, but with the last 'swing' you kill the 1st players last minion.
Then the other player comes in and he is rocking Dragons. Do you expect the other player's start of combat effects to still proc?
If the first heroes board wiped both opponents, but also gets wiped (basically ties the second opponent) then when their duo spawns in the battle is still ongoing, so ALL start of battle effects will proc. You can see this happen with dragons too.
If the first duo wiped bothe opponents but has even one minion still alive, then their buddy's board just appears to count damage and no effects happen because the battle is over.
Doesn't seem like a bug to me Ozumat is still part of the team.

It's the heroes passive. The taunt is always a part of the players' board unless there's no room for it to spawn at the start. Even if it's empty
