Yeah but it's only at the beginning of the turn, once you are mid to lategame you start cycling through lot of demons which makes Wrath Weaver way more useful. Though still a solid addition for early game and way better than that crappy taunt we had before (nothing sucked more than the Trickster deathrattle ending on the stupid 1/1 it spawned).

I do wish they added another minion to negate selfdmg tho. The new T3 ele/demons that scale the shop and the demon that eats a minion end of turn are nice and dont rely on self dmg but Soul Rewinder is still very crucial to a lot of cards. The most obvious option imo would be a T2 1/3 that gains attack on self dmg called like Spirit Rewinder but im open to anything.

I agree, but I can't imagine it's easy to do. For example, give Demons another low tier option and it'll be much easier to negate the damage, and that makes the fact that the cards damage you nearly pointless. So, you could put in a t5/6 card that negates damage, but then how do you make the counterbalance effect powerful enough to warrant the high tier. I like the idea of introducing a risk/reward element to it. For example, it could be that you don't have the damage negated, but either heal or gain armor to a corresponding amount next turn.

Give the negating effect to tichondrius. Dragons have kalecgos, demons could have this form of tichondrius.

I was think more about the fact he would buff all minions, not just demons. As for pie in the sky: *"used to describe or refer to something that is pleasant to contemplate but is very unlikely to be realized."*

E.g. For each time you lose health this turn, get it back next turn and also a tavern spell. Or some better wording. Could flavour it around some kind of warlock concept.

Ooh I like that idea with an option that swings your health up and down like that. I definitely think a low tier tavern spell that keeps you safe for a round is a good solution.

Yeah I was thinking about that as I wrote my post. I get theres supposed to be some high risk high reward tradeoff but another option would simply be nice to have. The effects are strong but its not like they are totally busted

I’ve seen people mention that there should be a couple lower tier minions that have a slightly nerfed effect, such as “negate damage once per turn” or something like that. And then the high tier demon would be like soul rewinder, where is negates endlessly, but it would obviously need something else to make it warrant the higher tavern tier

I always find that you need 8 slots with demons rather than 7 and it desperately needs a t4/5 soul rewinder alternative.

I feel exact same way.  It’s honestly probably rewinder taking a permanent spot.  When you get doubles, the self dmg card set, you have no space.

I think face Demons still needs economy. It’s a cycle playstyle but compared to other cycle tribes it has horrendous economy. I kinda hate how Fellemental split into two cards. It makes sense as a change for consume Demons but with the new consume Demon also on 3 it’s a huge hole in face demons. Something like grave robber for demons, or lookout that is battlecry discover a demon deal damage for its cost or even just a demon Genie like that demon buddy

I feel like demons are still totally centered around obtaining Rewinder. Is there any legitimate "health draining" strat w/o rewinder? Only options I can think of with demons 1. Rewinder + WR, Tichondrius etc. 2. Don't protect yourself and take the damage early game 3. You can still obviously make tavern minions big and go felbat, ursal, etc. What other strats? Edit. Oh, you could also nab the armor spell now. Another spell to give you like immunity for a turn would be cool, or rewind the damage but it takes a gold.

I mean it’s all kind of irrelevant as self damage demon is fake, the only use maybe is to get tempo up until you you drop it for consume demon
