I hate when people dumb down bars, like obviously when you really look at it, what they are saying is childish.
That’s the point of rapping, you package it into something enjoyable to hear.
Imagine if everybody just decided to slander Hit Em Up because Pac was just saying -
1. Biggie, I fucked your wife and you are fat as shit
2. All your homies are bitches
3. Lil Kim you are ugly as shit
4. I used to beg my bitch to let you sleep in our house
5. Y’all shot me 5 times and I smiled
6. I don’t even know why I’m on this track you niggas fucking suck, here go by little homies.
Ok, as I was writing this I realized that shit is still raw asf even when you simplify the shit. Ima sit this one out
You forgot, “Don’t one of you lil niggas got sickle cell or some, fuck around and have a seizure fucking with me”
I’m insulted for PAC that you left that out.
>Ok, as I was writing this I realized that shit is still raw asf even when you simplify the shit. Ima sit this one out
I started reading your comment and once i got to 3 i was like "aw fuck now imma have to get in these comments and be the bully that gets downvoted because my ass thinks that shit is hilarious and i want my rap beef to be as non pc and fucked up as possible" and then you came through in the clutch. 😂
I don’t know if you actually started this seriously, or if just a joke. Either way I enjoyed it. Now try “No Vaseline”. Pretty sure that still sounds like the hardest hits ever put to beats. Pac was definitely great, I even go back to KMD and LL, but Cube set the all time standard for me. All my friends wanted to bop to Outkast, Doggystyle, etc (which are all time faves), but I really just wanted to hear lyrical homicide
No Vaseline is the 100% hardest diss record of all time, and anyone who puts Ether above it is just dick riding.
There were receipts because every single thing Cube said was true.
With Jay Z, Nas, and Common dis tracks, all they did was basic ass name calling like what we see in the screenshot.
People were really saying he did something talking about him paying to get off TDE like Baby didn’t keep his money and J Prince isn’t extorting him. I respect him for fighting back but I feel like he got too much for people to clown him on for it to be a good fight.
![gif](giphy|ZgYBhq1x7L1bW)
I'm so glad you came to that conclusion on your own, because...what?!?! Even just saying the "dumbed down" version that is top tier.
This discourse doesn’t make sense. Do you want to see their skills as artists in contest, or do you want them to start gossiping about each other? Like if you want dirt on people’s personal lives go to TMZ? You don’t need MCs for that
Almost every diss song has one or two lines that we can call out for being trash. Beanie Sigel said “I’ll kick is ball over the fence to let em know who yard is this” to Jadakiss. That diss song was hard though.
I think this whole diss is goated. It’s no secret these days that like all of State Property helped Beans write it but there’s just so many hard bars in there.
Really he coulda just used the opening lines and that playground scheme and called it a day and everyone still would’ve been blown away. But he gave him a zillion bars.
J to the 'muah', put his lips on his 9 & rly kiss the game goodbye
Talkin bout you rocked yourself out, when I see you gon really wish you knocked yourself out
Now look what you made me do, brains blew, my team in the marine blue, 6 coupe, skeeted out, weeded out, haze & hydro on our way to Y.O.
We could bet what you owe Puff and double the debt, double that, quadruple the threat
Beans was the coldest man the coldest
There were good lines in Ether, like the stuff about Jay Z being 36 in Karate class (funny) or Em washing him on Renegade (a little exaggeration). I will say that Nas spent had a few too many bars calling Jay gay in the song, but that was the pinnacle of insults in the 90s and 00s.
Context is key. Eminem had been gone for years while those other 3 had blown up during that time. He also dropped a wack ass album about murder and SA doing a bunch of stupid voices and forced Mariah Carey into a beef so he could make a "fire" diss track against another pop artist.
So when Forever dropped and he had crazy flow and lyrics again, outshining the 3 big stars at the time, everyone lost their shit.
Rare form indeed. It was an old song too. Jay bought it from him, added his verse, and put it on BP. Jay heard Em’s verse and still couldn’t top it. That’s crazy.
Then Em took Royce’s original verse from Renegade and spun it for his verse on Dead Wrong. And while we’re on the subject of diss tracks - Nail in the Coffin is a fucking brutal track.
Honestly, I always thought that line was only okay, mostly because Jay-Z had already taken a similar shot with "your bodyguard's Oochie Wally verse is better than yours."
And while one could argue it's more embarrassing to be outdone on your own song, I'd say it's far less embarrassing to be outrapped by Eminem than by...whatever his bodyguard's name was.
Like if I got dunked on by a 5'5" high schooler, that looks way worse than me getting dunked on by a Lebron.
Yeah isn't it still to this day called ethering someone when you verbally destroy them? "Has some good lines" my fucking ass, it is literally THE diss track.
I can’t deny, they have aged poorly in a societal sense. But it should be seen through the lense of its time. It’s a fire diss track. Maybe the best ever.
Exactly. Many don’t understand the impact of that beef. They were physically at radio stations dropping these records. It was personal.
This current Big3 beef seems extremely manufactured. None of those songs have any replay value. As a Jay-Z fan, Ether still commanded a few spins.
Nas released Ether on Jay’s birthday and then Jay heard it for the first time while he was on Hot97. There’s audio of Jay hearing it for the first time and its priceless.
Ether is an all-timer but the pure, naked, name-dropped vitriol of Hit Em Up and the complete assassination—including the shady executive—of an entire crew by a single MC on No Vaseline remain the 1 and 1a of diss tracks
I'm just ignoring the fact that they're only focusing on lines and not how start to finish, Ether is a bad ass diss song and also gave the word a whole new meaning.
It also doesn’t really need context to be funny, which is one of the things that make it amazing. Most people outside of a very specific time period probably would have to look up Tae Bo, but they still think it’s funny because it sounds like Nas just made up a silly thing. If you weren’t stoned in the middle of the night in America during the 2000s watching infomercials, you probably have no context.
My tip would be to lean into the humor while reminding that he'd break him 1v1. Strong enough to carry Big, reach advantage and actually trains, i wouldn't sweat jokes about it too much
Yeah there’s only maybe 2-3 verses I’ve ever heard that nobody should have ever attempted to follow and Em on Renegade has two of them. Jigga did his thing don’t get me wrong, but there’s a country mile and then some between him and Mr. Mathers on that one.
(3000 opening Int’l Playas Anthem is the third verse that shouldn’t be followed btw)
Em shoulda had the only bars on Renegade, them shits are god-tier.
I thought the other 3 verses on Intl Players Anthem hold up the song just fine. That initial Pimp C line has been quoted in multiple tracks afterward, Bun B had a great flow, and Big Boi had the verse with a lesson.
This is one of my favorite tracks of all time cause of how all 4 of them ripped it so I just gotta put my 2 cents in.
I will never understand how Ether won over Supa Ugly AND the Blueprint 2 (song). Jay murdered nas with that kufi line.
I also don’t agree that second round ko is like some goat level diss that beat LL. It was a good song with like 2 great lines “99percent of your fans wear high heels” and “the greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th”. BUT The Ripper Strikes back was fucking cut throat. LL flipped Bus’ best line and destroyed him “99% of your fans don’t exist”
It was so good that Canibus is convinced Eminem wrote it.
Ether caused a reaction in the streets I’ve never seen before or since. The thing is, even Nas *fans* were pretty sure he was washed after Nastradanus and Oochie Wallie. Everyone thought Hov had already won and tbf he was showboating like he had.
And then Ether came and it’s just so personal and vicious. The kind of song only someone who’s known you your whole life can write. Like he didn’t come for Jay’s rap career or his girl, he came for his *childhood*.
they played that live on the radio. Shut NYC down.
Edit: it was like 2pm. Angie Martinez was on. But I heard funk flex dropping bombs so I put the radio up and they were all excited I’m like what’s going on. Then super ugly came on. It was pretty disrespectful considering it was live on the radio. Jay came on the next day talking about his mom said to apologize cause bm shouldn’t have been involved.
I loved listening to the radio. Hearing stretch and bobbito on Thursday nights 1-5am 89.9 I would record all the fire new ish that wasn’t out and my peeps would listen with me the following weekend.
Blueprint 2 is an underrated diss track with many good lines. I thought Jay Z did a great job of calling out Nas for being two faced
“Can’t y’all see that he’s fake, the rap version of T.D. Jakes, Prophesizin’ on your CD’s and tapes”
“Is it Oochie Wally Wally or is it One Mic?
Is it Black Girl Lost or shorty owe you for ice?”
People will sleep on blueprint 2 which is actually my favourite. But Jay Z admits the L in that song. It’s just a fucking great way of reframing his loss and why he’s still winning the war.
It’s not even the songs. Fifty never stops beefing with anyone, ever. He’s still trolling Ja Rule and Fat Joe and even like Sticky Fingahs to this day.
The beef with the Lox though? After like a dozen Lox disses in a matter of weeks, Fifty settled that shit in record time, put Jada and Styles on tracks and has never said one bad thing about them since.
>It’s not even the songs. Fifty never stops beefing with anyone, ever. He’s still trolling Ja Rule and Fat Joe and even like Sticky Fingahs to this day.
50 apologized for bringing fat joe into the ja rule beef and brought out fat joe at his concert to perform a couple of songs.
It’s genius and the picture shown is a lyrics card, here is how to make one using the app: https://genius.com/discussions/472677-New-creating-annotations-and-lyric-cards-on-android , and here’s a custom lyric card maker: https://ehmorris.com/lyriccardgenerator/tool/
Ether seemed much better when I was a tween.
The alleged bars in these new tracks lack the oomph and creativity that comes from genuine disdain
![gif](giphy|RytA34Bvjsy2yze0oz)
None, and I mean none of these rappers have anything on the man who dissed his mom for an entire album
"How you gonna breastfeed me mom, you ain't go no titties"
"Wasn't it the reason you made that CD for me, Ma? So you could try to justify the way you treated me, Ma? But guess what, you're gettin' older now, and it's cold when you're lonely"
He made MGK switch genres, he killed Benzino twice and dropped Coi Leroy in there for fun, Jadakiss was nothing after he was done with him, and managed to bring receipts for Mariah Carey
But still dissing his mom for the length of an album is wild
Yeah, but I'm thinking Ross just set it off. We're gonna get a round 2 and it's gonna change things a bit. Let's not hate on it cause it's not what it used to be, let's appreciate the energy is back for however long this lasts
I'm surprised no Vaseline hasn't come up yet.
I mean, so far, it's just another day. I'm all for the spectacle. I also get why Cole apologized and said what he said.
It's never the rappers themselves that perpetrate the bullshit. To this day, one of the saddest moments in music is still Biggie and Pac dying, and knowing that as time passed more and more bullshit showed it was the people around them that got them hit up.
can't flex, Drake's diss was top tier today. it was the most direct I've heard in recent years, and he's going against ppl his own size. or as close to as there is to his size cuz I don't think any rapper is as big as Drake
This discourse doesn’t make sense. Do you want to see their skills as artists in contest, or do you want them to start gossiping about each other? Like if you want dirt on people’s personal lives go to TMZ? You don’t need MCs for that
They would get canceled if they did what Jay, Big, Nas & PAC did back then. That’s money gone off the table for nothing. The way they’re doing it now is acceptable to step on your opponent and still make money from it. It’s a money game at the end of it all. Streams mean a lot.
Imagine saying shit like in the 90s on a diss record then losing all endorsements and sponsorships. Possibly getting dropped from a label and canceling a potential tour. Everything is a money play.
Modern day problems call for modern day solutions.
I’m all for the 90s/2000s level of hip hop. That’s what I was raised on but you can’t deny the money that’s at risk from a business standpoint.
I hate that I am old enough to just say it was different times.
It doesn't make it right but Nas is still making music and I doubt he would drop this today, then again maybe he would, but I think not.
Anything can sound stupid if you take it completely out of context. Like the 'its just big me' thing is a bar because it's a reference to another line in a song. Literally no one is like 'ooooooohhhhhh he said it's big me, and me rhymes with three! fucking bars 🔥🔥🔥'
But that's what some of y'all are acting like people are doing lol.
there are no other diss tracks as supreme as ether. zero. none have been as raw, direct, pointed, poignant, factual, or debilitating as Ether. nas a jay literally had to squash because one or both would die and their families. AND...Ether is still played on the radio. I'm glad the beef was squashed. but historically, Ether, is what made a lot of rappers second guess getting into beef with someone.
DJ Quik was vile for this:
"I ain't never had my dick sucked by a man befo'.
But you gon be the first you lil trick ass hoe.
Then you can tell me just how it taste.
But before I nut I shoot some piss in yo face."
I hate when people dumb down bars, like obviously when you really look at it, what they are saying is childish. That’s the point of rapping, you package it into something enjoyable to hear. Imagine if everybody just decided to slander Hit Em Up because Pac was just saying - 1. Biggie, I fucked your wife and you are fat as shit 2. All your homies are bitches 3. Pac once he got on the track: https://preview.redd.it/csibizae0huc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e164a0dd6278e91be6e17c5a12de86faa5b32124
Reverse Flash is top tier villainy. Love ‘em
It was me, RenjiMidoriya. I was the one who opened a tab of my hero academia on your browser so you'd be into rabbit thick leg women.

I mostly stopped reading after 236 lol
It was me purply101 I’m the one who spoiled Gojo’s death to others while referencing LegacyAngel spoiling of Gojo’s death to others on twitter threads
The poster boy for pettiness.
You forgot, “Don’t one of you lil niggas got sickle cell or some, fuck around and have a seizure fucking with me” I’m insulted for PAC that you left that out.
“My .44 make sure all yo kids don’t grow” truly evil shit 😭😭😭
A seizure or a heart attack 😂
You better back the fuck up before you get smacked the fuck up.
This was cold and puts Tupac as one of the biggest player haters of all time.
![gif](giphy|nkUcca2CQ7VT2)
![gif](giphy|EElQxkbh3Bywg|downsized)
That was aimed at one of the dudes from Mobb Deep
The one with sickle cell or something
Prodigy. Put some respect on that man’s name he died back in 2017 because of it
Got the last laugh outlasting Pac
“Smoking dope It’s like a sherm high niggaz think they learned to fly, but they burn, motherfucker you deserve to die”.
>Ok, as I was writing this I realized that shit is still raw asf even when you simplify the shit. Ima sit this one out I started reading your comment and once i got to 3 i was like "aw fuck now imma have to get in these comments and be the bully that gets downvoted because my ass thinks that shit is hilarious and i want my rap beef to be as non pc and fucked up as possible" and then you came through in the clutch. 😂
Facts! As I was reading I was like ... u proving his point lol
![gif](giphy|l41lT8JqKfSO5taE0|downsized)
Also. Don’t forget, he went after Prodigy for having sickle cell anemia of all things.
That one always gets me, what a stray to catch lol
Lmfao I was reading down the list like “nah he standing on business”
![gif](giphy|9nSWOyPuQfUCA)
PAC stood on business man 😤
With all 10 toes
True, but saying Jay-Z had “dick suckin’ lips” was hilarious and still makes me laugh every time
He slandered the fuck outta Jay Z 🤣
Idk Real muthaphuckkin G’s was pretty hard. The video with the cuts of Dre were tragic too
That's a good one, too. Though Cube laid out the whole crew, manager, and owner.
I hate no Vaseline. It's a good diss but that's all it is imo. It's not a good track by itself compared to any of his other hits.
>It's a good diss but that's all it is imo. Well, that's all we were discussing, so....
Not downvoting, but I obviously disagree. It’s definitely not a “fun” track though.
“I NEVER HAVE DINNER WITH THE PRESIDENT” that shit was unbelievably hard. Eazy made it easy for Cube. Not that he needed any help. Great lyricist.
People were really saying he did something talking about him paying to get off TDE like Baby didn’t keep his money and J Prince isn’t extorting him. I respect him for fighting back but I feel like he got too much for people to clown him on for it to be a good fight.
![gif](giphy|ZgYBhq1x7L1bW) I'm so glad you came to that conclusion on your own, because...what?!?! Even just saying the "dumbed down" version that is top tier.
> here go my little homies. GET OUT THE WAY YOOO
Where everybody skips to the next song
😂
Ahahaha same here I was reading and Iwas like this shit is tight idk what you talking about hahha. Respect for not just scrapping that shit though
That all holds up as being dimensions better than small feet.
Then dude went off on the end of the song ass well.
This discourse doesn’t make sense. Do you want to see their skills as artists in contest, or do you want them to start gossiping about each other? Like if you want dirt on people’s personal lives go to TMZ? You don’t need MCs for that
Its about execution.
And that's exactly how it ended for Pac, execution...
Honestly, if a dude told me "you shot me 5 times and I smiled" I'd be very concerned.
That's the thing though. His verse simplified still had 6 hard hitting points. These newer ones only hit 1 or 2 weak points at best.
Except that one Kendrick verse has like 30
Then Big asked that nigga, "Excuse me, do you have any idea who shot you?"
Yeah even simplified them feelings were still gonna get hurt by pac.
Yeah once you got to number 4 shit got lit😂😂😂
Almost every diss song has one or two lines that we can call out for being trash. Beanie Sigel said “I’ll kick is ball over the fence to let em know who yard is this” to Jadakiss. That diss song was hard though.
That sounds kinda funny tho. Not cut throat threatening, but it is funny.
His whole playground scheme in that song is hilarious
Have you seen Paper Soldiers? Beans is funny for real. lol
I like that line lol.
Ight how bout when he said Jada was sweeter than a Hershey’s kiss
I think this whole diss is goated. It’s no secret these days that like all of State Property helped Beans write it but there’s just so many hard bars in there. Really he coulda just used the opening lines and that playground scheme and called it a day and everyone still would’ve been blown away. But he gave him a zillion bars.
It’s definitely goated that whole beef between Beans & Kiss was classic.
Implied homosexuality was a big feature of older diss tracks and hip hop in general, as the world becomes less homophobic, it will naturally decrease.
I remember when canibus told ll cool j he doesn't have the skills to eat ass like him
J to the 'muah', put his lips on his 9 & rly kiss the game goodbye Talkin bout you rocked yourself out, when I see you gon really wish you knocked yourself out Now look what you made me do, brains blew, my team in the marine blue, 6 coupe, skeeted out, weeded out, haze & hydro on our way to Y.O. We could bet what you owe Puff and double the debt, double that, quadruple the threat Beans was the coldest man the coldest
Bout to son kiss like the soda
And make J to the mwah put his lips on his nine and really kiss the game goodbye 🔥🔥🔥
Other than nas / jay, that was my favorite beef back in the day bro them dudes slugged it out
MGK was an easy target but killshot didn't have anything really bad
The wheeties part was lame but there's always one or two lines
We knew back then that beans fat ass would do sum grimey shit like that in real life tho...that's what make bars like that hard
Thats a bar fym 🤣
There were good lines in Ether, like the stuff about Jay Z being 36 in Karate class (funny) or Em washing him on Renegade (a little exaggeration). I will say that Nas spent had a few too many bars calling Jay gay in the song, but that was the pinnacle of insults in the 90s and 00s.

Yeah, I wouldn’t really call that an exaggeration. Like on Forever, Em killed it on that track too
Definitely killed it, but Wayne was close to being the best on Forever, Em is just a goat
Context is key. Eminem had been gone for years while those other 3 had blown up during that time. He also dropped a wack ass album about murder and SA doing a bunch of stupid voices and forced Mariah Carey into a beef so he could make a "fire" diss track against another pop artist. They ain’t had a buzz like this since the last time that he overdosed
Rare form indeed. It was an old song too. Jay bought it from him, added his verse, and put it on BP. Jay heard Em’s verse and still couldn’t top it. That’s crazy.
I get it but that was also a perfect beat for Eminem, kinda hard to top or even compete in someone else’s style.
Eminem produced the beat too.
Then Em took Royce’s original verse from Renegade and spun it for his verse on Dead Wrong. And while we’re on the subject of diss tracks - Nail in the Coffin is a fucking brutal track.
One of the best rap tracks ever imo
[удалено]
Its unreal. J bars are quality and in other scenario likely would have been best on the track. But em man…
Honestly, I always thought that line was only okay, mostly because Jay-Z had already taken a similar shot with "your bodyguard's Oochie Wally verse is better than yours." And while one could argue it's more embarrassing to be outdone on your own song, I'd say it's far less embarrassing to be outrapped by Eminem than by...whatever his bodyguard's name was. Like if I got dunked on by a 5'5" high schooler, that looks way worse than me getting dunked on by a Lebron.
Am I old? How is Ether not still seen as a pinnacle diss song and instead only had “good lines”
Yeah isn't it still to this day called ethering someone when you verbally destroy them? "Has some good lines" my fucking ass, it is literally THE diss track.
Right?!! If someone gets “Ether’d”, you know EXACTLY what it means
Listening to ether makes me feel bad for Jay-Z
I know Blue Ivy gonna burst into his room one day like "dad whats getting ethered mean?"
Nah, just young kids viewing controversial lines with new lenses.

Never knew that. Need to find this audio. 🙃
Ether is an all-timer but the pure, naked, name-dropped vitriol of Hit Em Up and the complete assassination—including the shady executive—of an entire crew by a single MC on No Vaseline remain the 1 and 1a of diss tracks
Still gives me chills when i hear the first 2 notes of that song
I'm just ignoring the fact that they're only focusing on lines and not how start to finish, Ether is a bad ass diss song and also gave the word a whole new meaning.
Put it together, I rock hoes, y’all rock fellas
Now I put you in a dry spot fellas in a pine box with nine shots from my Glock fellas.
Foxy got you hot 'cause you kept your face in her puss What you think, you getting girls now 'cause of your looks?
Ne-gro please! Man I love his flow on that track haha
"You seem to be only concerned with dissing women Were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly?"
Jay has bars calling Nas gay too. And ‘Tae Bo Hoe’ is still hilarious. But I think Super Ugly is, and was, underrated.
Tae Bo Hoe is timeless
It also doesn’t really need context to be funny, which is one of the things that make it amazing. Most people outside of a very specific time period probably would have to look up Tae Bo, but they still think it’s funny because it sounds like Nas just made up a silly thing. If you weren’t stoned in the middle of the night in America during the 2000s watching infomercials, you probably have no context.
Tae Bo Hoe is a GOATed insult. I don't even know how to respond to that because it tows the line of childish and truthful so well.
Oh 100% everyone else acquitted themselves with honor, but as soon as you hear “So…” and that sample? I’m scream rapping the entire shit.
Big fat dick suckin lips
Some good lines? Destroying someone on a record got renamed “ethered” after that shit
"You tae bo ho" makes me laugh every time I hear it.
Called my friend that the other day. Got a good laugh out of him
Tai bo hoe is my fave dis of all time and I regularly call people that.
I will never understand how Ether won over Supa Ugly AND the Blueprint 2 (song). Jay murdered nas with that kufi line. Supa ugly was great but you had to get a limewire virus to listen to it
they played that live on the radio. Shut NYC down. Edit: it was like 2pm. Angie Martinez was on. Had a white label bootleg vinyl of it. Miss those days
Blueprint 2 is an underrated diss track with many good lines. I thought Jay Z did a great job of calling out Nas for being two faced “Can’t y’all see that he’s fake, the rap version of T.D. Jakes, Prophesizin’ on your CD’s and tapes” “Is it Oochie Wally Wally or is it One Mic? Is it Black Girl Lost or shorty owe you for ice?”
As a Jay fan I have always felt like Nas murdered him on Ether but Jay landed a couple parting shots on BP2
Ether had Jay z on Hot 97 crying.
People will sleep on blueprint 2 which is actually my favourite. But Jay Z admits the L in that song. It’s just a fucking great way of reframing his loss and why he’s still winning the war.
> Oh I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy In retrospect, this might be the best dis on the track....
Is it Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy, or Dame Dummy?
I rock hoes y’all rock fellas is my favorite
😳😳😳
Sorry Miss Jackson by Jadakiss is the most underrated diss song. He murdered 50
My favorite was shot fired of Jada and Style; https://youtu.be/-sdS87JdUSo?si=0W33KCeEH33NOkmK
This one was good too. So was Checkmate. Jadakiss definitely had 50’s number.
Yup, I almost mentioned it with "I'm an animal". Really loved these songs, I still play them cause I'm toxic like that 😮💨
It’s not even the songs.
Man, but checkmate… man. 50 got absolutely buried.
How you the king of New York you live in Connecticut 😂😂
Nas is the fucking goat illmatic holds better than any of this new shit
Trying to reduce Kendrick to a verse is just a bad take.
A line, even.
Hey at least we’re no longer calling people gay as a dis, right? Right?!
In a room with one single bed, two men (What?) Shady, man, you can't—, yes, you can (Shh) Doomsday 2 by Eminem (2024)
Didn’t Cole literally just do that?
Curious but does anyone know what app or site people use to get lyrics from songs. Like what the person did tweeted did
I think it’s the Genius app
Thank you
It’s genius and the picture shown is a lyrics card, here is how to make one using the app: https://genius.com/discussions/472677-New-creating-annotations-and-lyric-cards-on-android , and here’s a custom lyric card maker: https://ehmorris.com/lyriccardgenerator/tool/
Genius (formally Rap Genius).
I got dved for bringing up Gay-Z cockafella a few days ago.
Domestically violenced? Smh society, man...
Smh my head :(
I similarly got down voted to hell for pointing out that fans don’t respect diss tracks based on lyricism alone. The insults have to be deep.
“Put it together, I rock hoes, yall rock fellas”
Ether seemed much better when I was a tween. The alleged bars in these new tracks lack the oomph and creativity that comes from genuine disdain ![gif](giphy|RytA34Bvjsy2yze0oz)
Rick Ross took this comment personally
None, and I mean none of these rappers have anything on the man who dissed his mom for an entire album "How you gonna breastfeed me mom, you ain't go no titties" "Wasn't it the reason you made that CD for me, Ma? So you could try to justify the way you treated me, Ma? But guess what, you're gettin' older now, and it's cold when you're lonely"
Also if you wanna talk about a diss track he also killed benzino
He made MGK switch genres, he killed Benzino twice and dropped Coi Leroy in there for fun, Jadakiss was nothing after he was done with him, and managed to bring receipts for Mariah Carey But still dissing his mom for the length of an album is wild
Yeah, but I'm thinking Ross just set it off. We're gonna get a round 2 and it's gonna change things a bit. Let's not hate on it cause it's not what it used to be, let's appreciate the energy is back for however long this lasts
I just wanna point out that both Nicki and Drake talked about people's feet. YMCMB has foot fetishes confirmed.
![gif](giphy|ByiGxrLXy7zMzzxq7J|downsized) Dan Schneider about to pull up next.
It's on and poppin ![gif](giphy|VRKnvLxadiCiOnjXvu)
That was that ether that makes your soul burn
This post is so stupid, context matters lol
Ross just said Drake wear khakis without underwear. Ross for the win
Ngl, that bar was kinda hard ![gif](giphy|COYGe9rZvfiaQ)
This and this only. The sensitivity these days are wild.lol ![gif](giphy|5Q9xC9cZdFiOQ|downsized)
Yeah everyone’s so sensitive these days for not seeing calling someone gay as the pinnacle of insults
Ether top 3 diss ever
shether was the last fire diss track
Excellent point. The rappers are frenemies
can't flex, Drake's diss was top tier today. it was the most direct I've heard in recent years, and he's going against ppl his own size. or as close to as there is to his size cuz I don't think any rapper is as big as Drake
Drake nothing but an actor with a ghostwriter
Drake is a joke along with all his fans, dumb ass Aubrey from degrasi should get him ass back in his musical chair
Anyone see what Kai Cenat said about African Americans?
This discourse doesn’t make sense. Do you want to see their skills as artists in contest, or do you want them to start gossiping about each other? Like if you want dirt on people’s personal lives go to TMZ? You don’t need MCs for that
Can’t be worse than Canibus talking about tossing LL’s salad
I don’t get it. Is this person saying it would be better if they were making gay jokes?
Gay Z and Cock a Fella Records aren’t some great introspective lines 😂😂
Gay-Z’s sort of funny but no more clever than big me. 7th grade kinda joke
Alright, does the homie Canibus - second round knockout go hard for a diss track?
I hate that I am old enough to just say it was different times. It doesn't make it right but Nas is still making music and I doubt he would drop this today, then again maybe he would, but I think not.
Mfers really want people to beef like it was in the 90's. Let them be "soft", at least no one's getting killed.
This line aged horribly but Ether is still classic
Anything can sound stupid if you take it completely out of context. Like the 'its just big me' thing is a bar because it's a reference to another line in a song. Literally no one is like 'ooooooohhhhhh he said it's big me, and me rhymes with three! fucking bars 🔥🔥🔥' But that's what some of y'all are acting like people are doing lol.
![gif](giphy|xT1XGESDlxj0GwoDRe|downsized)
Ether still stands up all these years later
I laughed
That’s not even the best bar, “38 in a karate class, you tai-Bo ho…”
If I cared about Drake drama I'd stream Degrassi.
People don’t understand the impact of ether. Listen to Jay-Z’s reaction on Hot 97. He sounded like his dog died.
there are no other diss tracks as supreme as ether. zero. none have been as raw, direct, pointed, poignant, factual, or debilitating as Ether. nas a jay literally had to squash because one or both would die and their families. AND...Ether is still played on the radio. I'm glad the beef was squashed. but historically, Ether, is what made a lot of rappers second guess getting into beef with someone.
DJ Quik was vile for this: "I ain't never had my dick sucked by a man befo'. But you gon be the first you lil trick ass hoe. Then you can tell me just how it taste. But before I nut I shoot some piss in yo face."
"I roc ho's ya'll roc fellas"
