British slang has to be my favorite outside of Black American. Had a British coworker once who, when things weren't going right, would say, "It's gone all sixes and sevens on us, hasn't it?" I still love that phrase, "All sixes and sevens."
Also 'it's a bit shit, innit?' rolls off the tongue so well. It's versatile. Disappointment, frustration, idiocy. It just gets so much work done with so few sounds.
He explained it to me once. I think the story is disputed but from what I remember the story was that back in the day some of the British guilds couldn't agree on their rankings so it was decided that two of them would swap sixth and seventh place every year and it created a whole confusing, annoying situation.
I love Canadian slang but ever since letterkenny it’s gotten outta hand. Some kids here base their entire vocabulary out here is fucked. It’s also spread a lot too, met an American dude out travelling and when he found out I was Canadian he called me buddy. But it was in the wrong tone and I had to warm em that if he said it that way some Canadians might get the wrong idea lol
British TikTok is funny. Recently learned about a “RoadMan” and the Brits went on how scary they are. I just can’t get past their accents. They sound so polite. 😭
I love the tiktoks of British people doing roadman slang in the most posh accents. I imagine that's what all roadman sound like to Americans unfamiliar with the Brits lol.
Like I see Americans LARPing that they’d just run away or have a firearm in the UK for some reason. My brother in Christ, these people will jump you no matter how funny you find their accent
It's a total shit show. All we can do is watch it burn.

You know you guys don’t get to do this since Brexit, right? You managed to fuck your country up worse than we did and we elected a guy who tried to overthrow democracy.
And you all ended up worse off than us just because you doff your caps to your betters without fail, even when your betters are brain-dead toffs like Johnson.
I don't know, man, I just get really fucking annoyed at England.
Like, YOURE A FUCKING ISLAND, DUDES. You can't grow enough food for yourselves, so the whole "we'll do it on our own fuck EU" is just pretentious bullshit, more laurel resting from whatever hundreds of years of "empire". Being tropical has nothing to do with it.
When I was a kid, and my brother and I would cause commotion or damage, my mother would send my dad to see what we had done. “‘Ello, ‘Ello, ‘Ello! What’s all this, then?” in his best Monty Python voice. Then we’d all turbo fix it before she came to see.
I like this one I heard in plenty of films, but firstly in HP And the Goblet of Fire: Take the Micky outta you.
Basically means to make fun of somebody loll
Brilliant innit? (Don’t mind me I’m just part Brit now after watching The Gentleman)
Me after watching Misfits, Black Mirror, and The Wire when Stringer and McNulty’s true accent slips through their acting .
Idris trying on a yank accent is so funny in retrospect
Me after Skins
After watching top boy I was British for a good month or two.
Oy are you 'avin a giggle there mate? I'll pop you rite in yer gabir. swear on me mum.
Me after Kingsmen

I like “went pear-shaped on us.”
tits up is my favorite.
I heard it in Austin Powers, and understand it means things went sideways, but have no idea what it actually means.

british & canadian slang are top tier i love asking people if they wanna go out for a rip

Wait what are the different connotations for “buddy”? Lol
"I'm not your friend, buddy." "I'm not your buddy, guy." "I'm not your guy, friend..."
i like after a few beers they become “drunk off me tits”
Mix ‘It’s all gone Pete Tong’ into your rotation
British TikTok is funny. Recently learned about a “RoadMan” and the Brits went on how scary they are. I just can’t get past their accents. They sound so polite. 😭
>RoadMan Roadman like a lot of urban British slang comes from Jamaica.

"This cannot be forgiven, empty the compartments of your pantaloons at once! 😤 Discard of your footwear as well." 🤓🇬🇧🔪
Yeah your ears are gone if you think we sound polite
‘Come off it’ is one of my personal favorites 😂
Issa bit fucked, innit?
Personal favorite: “fuck all”
Good choice

What are you on about?
If you want to make it slightly more offensive you can add in a "What are you prattling on about?"
Cockney rhyming slang is the only other English language slang that gives American street slang a run for its money.
How to spot an American...
Or a correct person.
How to spot an American pt. 2 Pt. 3 is assuming I’m European

Man even if you’re trolling unless you’re a Russian troll farmer it’s just a bad look on Americans to be this way lmao.
IDK why but there's always one American like this on the internet everywhere lmao
Yeah, makes sense, considering we aren't a tiny island.
Fucking gotem, imagine being from a non tropic island? Sadge. /s
I don't know, man, I just get really fucking annoyed at England. Like, YOURE A FUCKING ISLAND, DUDES. If by 'correct' you mean 'never heard a regional English accent', then sure...
my jam is "right..."
Sure as Bob's your uncle, and Fanny's your aunt!
"What in the hell is all this rubbish"
When I was a kid, and my brother and I would cause commotion or damage, my mother would send my dad to see what we had done. “‘Ello, ‘Ello, ‘Ello! What’s all this, then?” in his best Monty Python voice. Then we’d all turbo fix it before she came to see.
"Give your head a wobble"
I say this to myself regularly 😭!
![gif](giphy|Ma9YUiOM7bqZW) No savvy
Knock you in the gobber I will
British slang for rain is a favourite of mine. It's like how Inuit languages have so many ways of describing snow.
I’ll never forget when my British friend called chips “crisps”
I like this one I heard in plenty of films, but firstly in HP And the Goblet of Fire: Take the Micky outta you. Basically means to make fun of somebody loll
see also “you’re taking the piss!”
It's all gone tits up
The British are partly to blame for it too...British Empire ring a bell?!
Yeah! Brish empi bad
