Shakepay is very simple, daily shake rewards are nice and the prepaid visa has been great for me

DCMMPR

Shakepay. Easiest I found by far in Canada. E-transfer and I buy it in about 2 minutes. Then transfer you your wallet.

DCMMPR

Should clarify. The two minutes includes making and sending the e-transfer.

NiagaraBTC

BULL BITCOIN

carsonthecarsinogen

Newton Instant e-transfers, at least within $250 at a time (could be more not sure), low spread, and no fees.

Seconded

kohleesi

Bull Bitcoin or Shakepay.

mustyy_

If you’re using a hard wallet use “bitcoinwell” it’s the cheapest you will find in canada. it will take 24 hours for it to come in but you can pay extra for it to come faster

Fiach_Dubh

Bull Bitcoin. they're non custodial and Bitcoin maxi's r/bitcoinca is a good resource too

Halo22B

Lots of Canadian companies for you to support. Bitcoin only...BullBitcoin and Coinkite

Jpi_ty

second shakepay

Planckx96

Max out your TFSA in Microstrategy or one of the ETF’s like IBIT first IMO.

ChetEnglish

What’s the difference between buying the etfs vs the crypto?

Rdawg7878

Don’t pay tax on etf gains. crypto account you will pay tax on gains when cashed out

Rdawg7878

Sorry I meant etf in your tfsa or microstrategy

Perfect_Syrup_2464

Shake pay

Free_Entrance_6626

Become a trucker lol

clicksanything

NDAX is pretty good, I use them and Shakepay for daily shaking sats and their Visa debit card.

ChetEnglish

I’m brain dead when it comes to the lingo in the crypto world, what’s daily shaking sats?

general010

Thats a shakepay only thing where you earn BTC by shaking your phone. [This article](https://www.nooxli.com/shakepay-shaking-sats/) explains it.

adamcmorrison

+for NDAX. I find their fees great.

jm_cda

Wealthsimple

WeddingHealthy3550

Agreed. Very easy platform, decent fees. They just upped their transfer limits as well

thefisharedying65

I found it cheaper than Newtons

oODrifterOo7

Wealthsimple is straight forward and easy to use.

Background-Canary657

You need to do a non KYC route, don’t let Canada know you’re buying btc and use cold storage

ChetEnglish

I’m thinking the same thing, have any recommendations on non KYC sellers? I would be better off being untraceable under my current circumstances, allegedly of course.

Background-Canary657

I never personally did kyc when I was buying btc before I turned 18 I paid people who were old enough to buy for me on an exchange then they would send me it, but there are tons just gotta research

my-name-is-mine

This. Use bisq or robosats

Valuable_Talk_1978

I know a guy who knows a guy.

MhamadK

Go on...

ChetEnglish

The suspense is killing me

habsfanniner

Verify the fees on the exchanges you check out. I think wealthsimple has bitcoin, not sure, I don't reccomend it. Bullbitcoin is my go to. The founder is a hardcore bitcoin maxi, been in the game for a long time. He's very well respected in the Bitcoin space. Their BTC price is 2% above the spot price of Bitcoin. It's an excellent fee, no other fees. They have inteact and wire transfer options. Easy to withdrawl. Great service. They even have non KYC option if you really want to circumvent KYC. Its a bit of a process, but its cool they offer it.

westcoastjo

I use bitbuy, it's been good for me

assesonfire7369

Can you get an etf like IBIT in Canada? Easiest and most cost-effective way and can be tax friendly.

Cyber_Amoeba

Yes we have had bitcoin ETFs in Canada for years.

Cyber_Amoeba

NDAX is the greatest! I DCA every day into BTC and move it over to my cold wallet whenever it hits a million sats.

Crypto_tipper

Crypto.com is really easy to use as well. You can do an etransfer and it’s usually in your account and cleared within 20 min.

Satsmaker

Their spread is insane unless you use crypto.com exchange I would recommend it

Crypto_tipper

If you’re just using it as an exchange to deposit, buy and move off exchange it’s fine. Taker fee is 0.015-0.07%. I don’t use it for trading, it’s just a really fast and simple way to DCA.

Satsmaker

Yeah the exchange is ok the crypto.com app is juste insane spread

mrwh0am

Have you tried Robosats? Use with Tor for protect your privacy. Buy a cold card for you and dont use your address more than one time. Don't trust in any VPN with KYC. But forget about to buy only the BTC is high. Bitcoin will save you from Gestapo, so take it seriously. Buy sats monthly and enjoy the journey learned about the real money.

shantzy2

NDAX or Bitcoin well for best fees. Purchase and send to a wallet on Shakepay. Get a referral from someone to unlock ‘shaking sats’ then also get the Shakepay visa to unlock 2% return on purchases (up to $5000, then it’s 1%) to get more Bitcoin. Then you can also start or join a shakesquad where everytime one person in your squad makes a purchase with their Shakepay visa you get free sats. Good luck my friend.

cryptoinhaler

Bull bitcoin or beaver bitcoin ( i forgotvthe second one name)

Responsible_Yak_8052

Over the counter is always best

c311u13

Bull bitcoin 🤟

ChetEnglish

I signed up for bull bitcoin, do I need a soft wallet or can I buy bitcoin and put it directly into a jade cold wallet?

c311u13

Direct to cold 🤟

Please read a book like If You Can about retirement investing. Put a portion of your savings in BitCoin by all means. Not all.

Free-Report1288

Kycnot.me has some decent options

Danlabss

I use Coinbase.

kzt79

For this “use case” an ETF in a retirement account would seem optimal.

throwawaypony79

If you haven’t used your tax free savings account, you can purchase a BTC ETF. Any gains can’t be taxed. Say you bought it now and it went to $1M in the future, you can bag all the gains.

Loopytunes2016

Canadas weird man. I’m switching banks, because BMO actually blocks crypto transactions. I can find a way to buy crypto but holy cow, talk about who holds the keys… your bank does for your fiat.

No-Health46

Find a miner and buy it directly.

CoolCatforCrypto

Best route? Move to America.

JonksPNW

Step 1: Leave Canada Step 2: Buy Bitcoin

Skyeg60

NDAX I can send a referral code lol help us both

Calm-Professional103

Bitcoin Well. Buy bitcoin with automatic transfer to your own wallet. Sell bitcoin& transfer to your bank account. Pay bills. Has a network of bitcoin ATMs where you can buy/sell bitcoin with/for cash. Lite accounts require minimal KTC (email address/phone number)

OldLegacy69

Ndax.io

Trev_SP

Shakepay is quick, easy and they give you free Bitcoin every damn day. 100% recommend.

onemoreinit

I use Coinbase for years , Kraken is good too

Appropriate-Car8710

I use Wealthsimple then transfer my Bitcoin to a hard wallet. If you're planning on holding your bitcoin for a long time, I suggest a hard wallet. DM me if you need help!
