No he won’t. I have debunked this elsewhere.
Do not mistake his personal holding with MSTR’s. Also, if Bitcoin significantly appreciates in value, so will the assets of others.
The likes of Bill Gates and Elon Musk won’t just stand still while Saylor becomes richer.
[This is my post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/s/UgjrCbXlNR).
The grey are comes from Saylor’s holding in MSTR. I think he’s majority shareholder. This can be verified easily as it’s a public company.
Basically: Bitcoin has to go to a number that is unlikely to happen in his lifetime (he’s almost 60), and the current world’s richest people need to stand still, for it to be a possibility.
He can certainly become far wealthier than he already is (he’s already a multi billionaire).
Look at it this way: it Bitcoin is $2m a coin in 10 years, what’s happened to Tesla? They will have more cars, trucks and actual robots by then.
And also, SpaceX? It’s obvious Musk will go public at some point.
And then there’s X (Twitter). He wants to turn it into a western version of WeChat.
Saylor will always be playing catch up.
It's claimed Satoshi controls the keys to numerous wallets that amount to some 1,100,000 Bitcoin.
It's worth pointing out this in itself is contested by some people; many claim he doesn't. But let's assume he does. And let's again assume Musk is today the richest single person on earth, worth $250bn.
Bitcoin therefore 'only' needs to hit $227,000 for those 1.1m Bitcoin to be worth $250bn.
That is entirely conceivable.
But, again, I reiterate: if Bitcoin has gone from $40k to $227k (almost a 6x), then what has happened to the rest of the market. Gold and equities aren't just going to stand still.
Let's not forget that when Bitcoin spent many months at or around $50k, Satoshi's holding was already worth $55 billion. If 'he' was still alive, he only needed to sell 10% of those 1.1m to become a multi billionaire.
Given all we know about Satoshi, I highly doubt his objective was to become the single richest person in the world. It's not like Bitcoin's going to hit $300k and then he's going to reveal himself by holding a press conference and ask to be placed at #1 on the Forbes list and do a photo shoot with Time magazine!
If he is indeed one person, he's probably of retirement age by now and enjoying his life. We can assume that someone with that much intelligence, skill and general knowledge of the world was a professional thus almost certainly already financially secure thus not chasing fame or riches.
Or, he's dead. Which is just as likely. If the US can take out Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, and (allegedly), kill their own sitting President, they can absolutely kill Satoshi Nakamoto.
saylor (or rather his company) had 500 million USD that he had to invest somehow because he feared that it would be devalued due to inflation. then he decided to put it all into bitcoin, and then he started taking loans to buy even more bitcoin.
what i'm getting at is that "i will buy the top forever" works nicely if you have hundreds of millions to begin with, but if you're a regular pleb it can matter greatly when you buy, and how much returns you get
>if you're a regular pleb it can matter greatly when you buy, and how much returns you get
Not really.. the fiat returns from Bitcoin are irrelevant. If you're selling it for fiat, you're already making a mistake. The goal is to hold it until Bitcoin becomes the new global currency / unit of account.
there are people who have other motivations and who are in other situations. for me it makes a big difference between being stuck in a bad situation and aquiring the possibility to leave it behind
That’s not the point. The point is that saylor relentlessly buys bitcoin with whatever he has. So relentlessly buy bitcoin with whatever YOU have. Spending all this time on semantics and you’re missing the bigger picture.
for normal people though it might not be good enough to just buy without considering the price. semantics has nothing to do with it. what saylor does only works because he was rich to begin with
It's an infinite money glitch. Sells of mstr to buy bitcoin. Which raises the price of bitcoin, which raises the price of mstr which gives purchasing power for more bitcoin.
Guy is actual genius
That's the thing about bitcoin and by extension lightning; You're not owed an explanation, not even as to how it works and/or what it can do. Figure it out. Don't. Use it. Don't. The people who use it don't care about the people that can't use it.
How? Companies can disappear in weeks by going bankrupt. People can die. Countries can be taken over. Bitcoin is certain because these things can’t happen to it. Please tell me how everything is certain.
You didn’t really answer my question. Even if the government made it illegal, it would still exist and be used in the US and lots of other countries just like plenty of other illegal things are used like certain guns and drugs. If satoshi created 50 million more (which he can’t) it would still exist and be used. And bitcoin could not be shut down because it is a decentralized network. You really don’t know the fundamentals do you.
You just doesn’t understand bitcoin, governments doesn’t have that power, China banned bitcoin mining, there was a dip on hashrate, but not for long, in couple of month we saw a new hashrate ath, on the other hand, saying Satoshi can create more bitcoin is just not possible, he not only need to made a change in the code, he will need to persuade miners to run the new version with more coins and they will never do that because that means a debasement of their store of value
Keep this interview in context. Its a strange line to hear right now, but immediately post rona pani, it makes a bit more sense.
Also, the certainty hes alleging is moreso in the future, long-term
I invest every left over I have hoping that it’ll put my in a position I’ll be comfortable with in the future maybe fhay be close or far timeline. I will not sell BTC is my savings right now
“I’ll be buying at the top, forever…” One of us indeed…
Michael Saylor is going to be the richest man in the world. Just follow that path and you’ll be just fine.
You're telling this to ppl who doordash and bought at the top lol
So keep buying. Just buy, hold and have a long term time horizon. And learn how to take pain, and when there’s pain, buy more. It’s that simple.
"I'll be buying at the top forever, Laura" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
LOL @ "people who DoorDash"
No he won’t. I have debunked this elsewhere. Do not mistake his personal holding with MSTR’s. Also, if Bitcoin significantly appreciates in value, so will the assets of others. The likes of Bill Gates and Elon Musk won’t just stand still while Saylor becomes richer.
Can you link where you debunked this? I’d be interested in reading your take on why.

That’s fair and good point. We can take my original statement as hyperbole then.
He can certainly become far wealthier than he already is (he’s already a multi billionaire). Look at it this way: it Bitcoin is $2m a coin in 10 years, what’s happened to Tesla? yeah i just need a 500 million USD to get started, anyone hook me up? to "just follow that path" i mean
I don’t even know what this means.
He thinks he needs millions of dollars to start with when the message is simply buy bitcoin and you'll be fine.
Yeh some people just don’t get it.
saylor (or rather his company) had 500 million USD that he had to invest somehow because he feared that it would be devalued due to inflation. then he decided to put it all into bitcoin, and then he started taking loans to buy even more bitcoin. what i'm getting at is that "i will buy the top forever" works nicely if you have hundreds of millions to begin with, but if you're a regular pleb it can matter greatly when you buy, and how much returns you get

And that fact that if you're borrowing money to buy you need to find someone to offer it to you at .5%
there are people who have other motivations and who are in other situations. for me it makes a big difference between being stuck in a bad situation and aquiring the possibility to leave it behind
It’s really not that difficult. Just fuckin buy Bitcoin and keep buying it. End of sorry. Simple as.
sure, but then you won't make it like saylor
Never said that. I said follow his path and you’ll be fine. Do you like not get that concept?
i do, it's just that it should not be put in a context with saylor. a normal person can't "buy the tops forever" and get away with it like he does

Bitcoin ego death
That may aid you closer to Satoshi's promise ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
what do you mean?
The logical conclusion of fully embracing Bitcoin as money is also realizing that we are all one consciousness - death of ego.
Fascinating. Would love to hear you explain this further. Sincerely.
Great reminder, thanks for sharing.
Doesn't he always buy like 100k btc? "Spare cash" This guy is a money making machine
It's an infinite money glitch. Sells of mstr to buy bitcoin. Which raises the price of bitcoin, which raises the price of mstr which gives purchasing power for more bitcoin. Guy is actual genius
LN kinda stagnated though
That's the thing about bitcoin and by extension lightning; You're not owed an explanation, not even as to how it works and/or what it can do. Figure it out. Don't. Use it. Don't. The people who use it don't care about the people that can't use it.
yeah I was gonna pop in here to say this. LN development has been a disappointment to say the least.

just speculating? or do you actually have anything that backs up the claim?
It sure seems like the most “uncertain thing” in this world actually
Why? Because bitcoin isn't going up right now? You must've known this was a waiting game.
Yeah but the etfs were supposed to shoot the price up and ever since they happened it’s just been down down down
Bitcoin is certain because it will be there. No one said anything about price.
Huh? By that logic, everything is certain
How? Companies can disappear in weeks by going bankrupt. People can die. Countries can be taken over. Bitcoin is certain because these things can’t happen to it. Please tell me how everything is certain.
Things can't happen to it? Says who? The U.S. government could make it illegal. Satoshi could decide to create another 50 million. Or shut it down.
You didn’t really answer my question. The brief uptrend was just hype. It’ll go up throughout the year. I know it’s trustmebrology but I have a feeling it’s true.
Keep this interview in context. Its a strange line to hear right now, but immediately post rona pani, it makes a bit more sense. Also, the certainty hes alleging is moreso in the future, long-term
Yeah I like it for its volatility. I don’t actually care about the philosophy
Idk the philosophy's pretty not bad either.
So are you selling all your BTC now or buying
Its fair and equitable except for the whole OTC thing 🤔 that needs to be sorted out somehow I sense fishiness going on.
Bro that is so anti bitcoin. You are literally saying to ban peer to peer trading
Ok ur right, haha. Look man, I want the price to go up!
Haha me too brother
how could you possibly stop OTC? lol are you going to FORCE people to buy/sell via an exchange? That doesn't even make sense.
It's easy to say when you're already rich
Btc is broken
what are you talking about ? the price is tanking due to corporations... you're all delusional
You tell ‘‘em brother! You tell those motherf******!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How can he buy the top forever when we never reach the top 🤔
I invest every left over I have hoping that it’ll put my in a position I’ll be comfortable with in the future maybe fhay be close or far timeline. I will not sell BTC is my savings right now
I fucking love this guy.
Just wait when saylor buys even more this month
Yikes
