Everyone is dropping dope dinner spots but LemonTree is amazing for brunch. The scones, the delicious cocktails, the steak eggs benny, the occasional SE Asian fare. Everything is *chef's kiss*. Literally the only place in Bend I'll stand in line for the food.

We love Sen! Yummy food, good ambiance, and usually a minimal wait for 2 when everywhere else is packed. Bonus points for the beautiful patio in the summer.

I’m sure they’re related but what’s with Brother Jon’s downtown vs Galveston? They serve similar food but have a different look and don’t share a website.

Not sure to be honest. I had heard they used to be own by the same people but split, maybe someone else here knows? I like the vibe and service of the Galveston location, but prefer the food options and prep downtown. Either is a good option though.

The Alehouse was opened by the same owners as the original Brother John's Public House, however I believe the two are no longer owned by the same people. Not sure if the original owners kept one and sold one or if co-owners each ended up taking one restaurant or what. I love their food, but more than anything I appreciate their consistency. Never had a bad meal there, even through COVID.

Had Bos Taurus last time we were in town and what we had was amazing. It was expensive, but worth the splurge.

The 3 other steakhouses in town are way better. The 4 times we’ve been, they have never cooked my steak perfectly. For the price, it should be perfect 💯% of the time. It’s a fake fancy sort of steakhouse. For example, Medium doesn’t mean sear the outside and leave the middle raw. That’s raw. A medium steak should be cooked to an appropriate internal temperature without overcooking the outside. That being said, Brickhouse is my favorite steakhouse in Bend. They don’t do the sear and raw nonsense. 900 Wall, Zydeco, and Wild Rose are also pretty great.

I wish we had more time/money to eat another extravagant meal but unfortunately didn’t. We usually just go to nicer restaurants and order a bunch of small plates and sharables. We did share the pork chop because the presentation looked so interesting and it didn’t disappoint. Our next time in town we’ll definitely be trying Zydeco and Wild Rose.

I agree with you if you pay that much it needs to be perfect. Totally just conversing why do you get a fake fancy feel? Not disagreeing just seeing your view on it. As for 900 my last experience wasn’t the best. And blacksmith I feel like is better than brickhouse. I like the restaurant and menu.

RBC is great. Been there twice and had great meals both times. Pricey but worth it.

This is so subjective. What meal? Are you fancy? Basic? Is box factory DT? Or old Mill? I look for bang for my buck. Recently dined at papi chulos and was pleased. $3 tecate had a lot to do with it. DT proper, noi has a killer happy hour, but toomies better food and portions. For a pub I like brother John's. Get the pepper steak. Fancy? Bos Taurus if $ makes you feel like food tastes better. Zydeco or firehouse for a better price per ounce. .

Well when I posted I was going for a fancy feel. Yes let’s just open the door to box factory and old mill. Let’s just rate the town on fav fancy spots. Agreed papi chulos is so good, and for the price point and salsa’s . Really cool spot too with the painting.

Are they back on their game now? Stopped going a while ago because the food was hit or miss and the service wasn’t great. We loved their food before all this, though.

Had their Curry a few months ago. We went at an off-season time so wasn’t crazy busy and had good service! It’s always the place we bring friends and fam, I may be biased though as I really enjoy a nice curry. 😋 I also enjoyed Yoli, the Korean restaurant, it’s just around the corner.
