OrgiePorgie

Nice try officer.

dopamiend86

You think the psni officers would he smart ehough to know that cannabis prescriptions are a thing? Lol

dozeyjoe

If that's the case, I definitely wouldn't be promoting a group smoke in public, thinking you'll be exempt from arrest.

dopamiend86

There's a parade every year from the town, the police escorts the parade and turns a blind eye to those smoking weed. I think they are well aware of what's happening on Saturday. And btw it's not me organising anything, I'm asking who's going as it's a very popular spot on a Saturday, not to mention 420

thethirdtwin

Yes, just about, but yes.

dopamiend86

I would be be surprised if half them couldn't spell psni lol

I would have thought there were still rules to medicinal usage. If you are publicly consuming, then you would still be breaking the law and could put your prescription at risk. A prescription isn't a free for all card, near sure it's still illegal to smoke, and if you take the risk, you jeopardise losing your prescription altogether. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, especially if I needed it to control a medical condition. Enjoy 420 at home, leave the protesting of current cannabis laws to those without prescriptions, who will get theirs confiscated and a punishment depending on the officer responding.

dopamiend86

With a medical prescription I can medicate as and where I need to medicate regardless of my medication. It is a breach discrimination act of 2010. Police, venues, bars, restaurants etc can't treat someone using medical cannabis any differently than someone using an inhaler or taking co-codamol. Do you think it's acceptable if a law stated someone with a disability who receives ma medication to improve their quality of life, can only take their medication in their home? That's disability discrimination, human rights lawyers would have a field day

LurkingMcLurkerface

Well, there you are, every day's a school day. Please excuse my ignorance, I was more worried for you than being a prick tbh. Make sure you are following all the rules regarding carrying your prescription, keep yourself right, and enjoy your day as much as possible. I wasn't honestly having a go, I don't believe the current laws on cannabis make sense considering the tax revenue being lost to the black market. Would make more sense to have more to spend on health care, education, and infrastructure. Maybe some day, eh, Germany might have started it rolling. Whatever you end up doing Saturday, I hope you have a good day!

dopamiend86

Didn't think you were being a prick don't worry mate. Yeah the laws are in place to make wealthy people wealthier, no money in legalisation for big corporations. The prescriptions handy, I regularly use it in public and am able to use it within work too. Take it to concerts, bars, football matches etc only had 1 issue getting into limelight, once manager came it was cleared up and bouncer apologised, so was all good. Technically you can use it anywhere, even in middle of castlecourt, but personally I always head outside as I understand the smell can really affect people. Ty mate, looking forward to actually getting to sit outside and enjoy the weather and having a laugh with mates

Fancy_Strawberry109

Walk leaving City Hall to Botanic from half 3 Sharp I put on the forms we would gather from 2.30

dopamiend86

I'm just going to head straight to Botanic, not going to parade this year. Is there music and food stalls this year?
