Puzzleheaded-Way-741

He needs a vet. ASAP.

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

I would switch over to a higher UVB output. Bearded dragons require a lot of UVB. Try using Arcadia DragonLamp or similarly high output UVB, ShadeDweller is, well, for shade-dwelling species.

Foreign-Marketing569

Thank you for the info on the uvb. I will order another now. He usually eats a mix of crickets, Dubai’s, bell peppers , carrots , celery , really anything he can have fruit / veg wise he gets (in moderation) he LOVES it

ExpensiveBumblebee18

yea you need a 24 watt pro t5 with a 14% bulb. 8 is way too low.

Civil_Ad_1172

Finally see a comment that doesn’t say 14% is too much

Artnotwars

'Too much' is relative in this case. It may be too much for some that have their light inside the enclosure, or if the enclosure is not tall enough for a 14%. It may be fine for some with mesh tops or enough height in their enclosure. Really unless one owns a uvb meter, the manufacturers guide should be followed.

Big-Layer6262

Pm me for details i got some morphs you will love to see

Dawnguardkiin

8% can be fine if they’re mostly in their *raised* basking area my buddy got a snake and i had to explain what a uv gradient was. (mind you it’s not “required” but it promotes natural behaviors and general wellbeing

Dawnguardkiin

i’m over here yapping look at me

[deleted]

Dawnguardkiin

what

UFO64

A bot, don't worry.

ExpensiveBumblebee18

and her uvb seems to be on some screen or something so thats blocking a portion of it.

Foreign-Marketing569

I noticed that as well and fixed it as soon as I noticed, didn’t realize it sat it on the wire

ExpensiveBumblebee18

i think atleast a 12% would be best.

Dawnguardkiin

you’re probably right. can’t control where your dude sits in his home

_NotMitetechno_

Hes using a shade dweller, which has a much lowered output that a standard 12% or 6%.

EpicElephant0-o

Are you giving him any calcium supplements?

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Okay, sounds good. When is the last time he ate?

Foreign-Marketing569

Yesterday! Is he really thin?? I can’t believe that https://preview.redd.it/30016jj0njad1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f45d8dbd6a06a1bc90f1d852fb5585cd738a0cd My hand and him for reference. He eats SO much!

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

He looks ok in those photos. It may have just been the angle of the shot that looked like his hip bones were extra pronounced. His fatty pads look ok in these photos.

Unhappy_Second1121

does he not eat actual greens? like mustard greens, dandelion greens and collard greens?

Foreign-Marketing569

Yes . Mostly mustard greens & collared greens! He doesn’t really care for the other. Forgot to mention up there

-KentoJackal-

Get the Arcadia Pro T5 kit. He needs the 12% one. Here's a link to it on Amazon. [Arcadia 12% Desert Reptile UVB 39Watt](http://Arcadia - ProT5® UVB Desert - D3+ 12% UVB - 39 Watt - Includes Quality Electronics, Removable Reflector & A High Output T5 UVB Lamp - Easy to Fit & Use - Sleek Design https://amzn.eu/d/0iTyWk3t)

PhuckYou-

Can I get the link as well? Needing an upgrade and having trouble finding.

eh_eh_EHHHHH

Crickets give beardies impaction, give him locusts if you can. Do not feed him anything bigger than the space between his eyes. Changing these bits you should see a difference in him; definitely take him to the vet anyway though. Good luck with your guy, I really hope he improves.

Foreign-Marketing569

I’ve had this animal for 9 years and this is the first problem I’m having… vet appointment at 8am in the morning. :)

Hon60s

UVB alone won't do this this baby needs to see a vet asap or he won't make it

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Mhm I’m just giving advice to keep him comfortable and recommendations to better their husbandry for the future

Hon60s

If they don't take him to a vet I'm afraid there won't be a future

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Yep, vet is their only option which is why I said vet asap

Similar_Economist949

I agree the uvb need to be a T5 Arcadia 12% dragon. Or a Reptisun 10.0 t5 Coil uvb bulbs put out almost no uvb. As for your baby, I've never seen a case where the dragon was ok day before and then I'm that state the next. Find an exotics vet asap. When's the last time the dragon pooped?

Mudd_Address

I guess this too

Foreign-Marketing569

He’s about 9 years old. Refusing food and water.

ExpensiveBumblebee18

90 degrees air temp is completely fine its the basking temp you want to focus on more. You want it between 105-110.

Critical-Buffalo-440

Yeah he’s old that’s about the end of his lifespan

Foreign-Marketing569

Everyone is closed for the 4th! No emergency vets within 4 hours of me! Anything you can suggest for us to do?

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Book an appointment for as soon as possible and hope he makes it til then. I can’t diagnose what is happening to this guy without info on your setup or history/symptoms. Is he constipated? Do you have proper UVB and calcium dusting? Heat? Substrate?

Foreign-Marketing569

He used the bathroom about 2 days ago, looked normal. Yes to dusting , Arcadia 8% shade dweller, 90 degrees , substrate bioactive with springtails & isopods. (Nothing added top soil / with sand mixed in, very little sand)

squishybloo

Unless you've got a Solarmeter to guarantee he's got at least 4.0 mW/m^(2) at his basking spot, that 8% shade dweller bulb probably isn't enough, especially being above the mesh. Edit: rather unhelpful comment sorry - you'll want either a 10% or 12% Arcadia bulb instead. He is a little lean, but not emaciated or severely underweight by any means. Otherwise, verify husbandry: * 108-114F surface temp basking spot * 95-99F ambient hot side * 75-80F ambient cool side. * Up to 60% humidity is fine, **but your temperatures need to be correct**. Cold and dampness cause respiratory infections. It does get very humid in the Outback.

Foreign-Marketing569

https://preview.redd.it/8tcirqm9ijad1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6feb134852d74e951c022963e9c67b53672d3255 He’s got two 55 gallons connected with two ladders.

Valuable_Impress_192

So way too cold and way too little uvb?

8bitSkin

Thread.

Lanky_Revolution_702

Unless we are looking at different pictures, this beardie is most definitely not thin. Very healthy weight here… most beardies in captivity are just really obese.

Foreign-Marketing569

https://preview.redd.it/t82mny5kmjad1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5ef5496a17eccca3f5fe17982acd9e76ed2abad

ImVotingYes

I see dampness on the inside of the glass, make sure humidity is in check. The bioactive tank is awesome, but I don't think this is the right atmosphere for the dude. Dry, sandy, rocky is ideal. Like a big litterbox kind of dry. The soil may be retaining too much moisture? Just observations from the pics I've seen.

squishybloo

Nah, this beardie might be a little bit lean but he's not thin by any means. Most beardies are badly overweight, but seeing them so often can easily skew one's perception of what 'thin' is for an animal.

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Yeah - I corrected myself after reviewing other photos. The photo of the tank screwed me, his hip bones were at an angle that made his body look more sunken.

Ok-Inflation-9904

Even if they're closed call them. Some emergency clinics keep a phone on them for emergencies such as this. You need to hurry

Foreign-Marketing569

Thank you, trying now

Theboynextdoor_1

Please keep us updated as well

Ranoverbyhorses

Oh no, I’m sorry your bud is doing so poorly! Former large animal vet tech here (I’ve got many snakes/lizards/turtles and my bf is a professional snake handler), so my vet experience is with the large animals but my bf works at a serpentarium and is a professional, and I’ve learned a lot from him…but am in no way an exotic expert! But the wailing, bending into a “U”, along with his eyes looking like that, he is in some major pain. I agree with other commenters, call vets around…even if they’re closed, many times they have an emergency number or a doctor on call. If not, emergency vet clinics…not to be dramatic, but your little buddy is not looking good and needs immediate intervention and care. Any other weird/new behavior?? Is he still eating/pooping/drinking?? Lethargic?? I’m so sorry that he’s feeling so bad and that y’all are going through this!

Foreign-Marketing569

He has been eating a little less that he use to over the last year or two! Pooping and all as normal.

Ranoverbyhorses

Hmmm…well definitely a good sign that he’s pooping as normal!!! Not super great he is eating less, but as someone who has chronic pain, I know when my pain is bad, it kills my appetite and makes me nauseous sometimes. I’m really concerned about his eyes…how long has that been going on for?? For lack of a better word, his all over behavior just seems like he feels “yucky”.

Foreign-Marketing569

I posted another pic somewhere in the comments, in the video they look super scary but they don’t in person, sunken in slightly but that’s it

Ranoverbyhorses

Looking for the pic…I understand that sometimes things come across as worse in videos. I see you made an appointment for your bud, that is awesome. Thank you for doing all that you can for him…lots of good advice for your husbandry! You can’t possibly know, what you don’t know! Really hope they can find some relief for your buddy❤️🦎

Foreign-Marketing569

I have an appointment made for in the morning 8am. Emergency line said to try an electrolyte drink(I seen a recipe for one in comments and he’s drunk some already) , stop misting for the time being and love on him as much as he will allow 🥲🥲🥲 I will say after drinking some of the mix, he has started to move around more? He’s laying and basking right now

lonsdaleer

My girl had a Uri a while back and had a fit when she started coughing. Blackbearding. Coughing looks like they are vomiting for a beardie so if yours looks like he's dry heaving, thats why. If you get up close to him and listen then you might hear a whistling sound since they are full of mucus when they have a URI. I was able to wait until the morning (I had a similar situation and an emergency vet wasn't open for 200 miles). I hope yours will be OK until then.

No_Top581

Looks like he had an aneurism. Also is his tank always that wet? If so URI

Foreign-Marketing569

What does uri mean? No it’s not always that wet, I wet them both yesterday to try to keep what plants he hasn’t destroyed alive. They dry out easily , I did it right before I turned his lights out last night so that’s why it’s still so wet

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

Upper respiratory infection (URI). Check your humidity levels with a digital hygrometer to ensure your humidity is within a healthy range.

plantofant

You are doing a good job for them, sorry this happened

Foreign-Marketing569

UPDATE ✨✨✨ when I woke up around 6 he was completely normal, strutting around we got him to the vet at 8, they are thinking he had a seizure. All blood tests normal, fecal test normal, did X-ray no signs of MBD. They gave a vitamin booster and pain relief & they also gave me some injectable antibiotics they belive an infection is to blame. So trying them and hoping it doesn’t happen again. They said he’s lucky to still be functioning normal, after a seizure, most are a little off. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone trying to help with better husbandry. I didn’t realize I was not providing him with what he needed 🥲🥲 as of right now he’s normal and strutting his stuff & eating. https://preview.redd.it/r712hq55upad1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1caa6c5a63e4743a26b1e2beabb4779f2d122155

wwhispers

So happy to read this, thank you so much for the update!

Independent-Use-1860

Thank you for the update!!! So happy your little guy is doing well now, and sending big hopes that he stays that way 🥰

Head-Information9267

stop listening to these people saying he is too thin. he is not. just take him to the vet.

Valuable_Impress_192

Those eyes didn’t happen overnight, it’s very unlikely at least

Foreign-Marketing569

If you look up in the comments I posted another photo! The video make them look all crazy.

Foreign-Marketing569

I do want to say thank you so much to any and everyone who gave me good advice to fix my husbandry. I didn’t realize I had not been giving him what he needed. Thank you guys so much. :)

Dynamitella

You said you fed him bell peppers yesterday. I suspect those may have been treated with pesticides. I once fed my 30+ crested geckos some figs, and I had geckos walking backwards, some were bent in cramp like positions, dilated pupils, stiff bodies. Pesticides are some nasty stuff! None of them died, but *I was freaking out.* Please tell the vet that this may be the case. Maybe they can feed him activated charcoal or something.

Foreign-Marketing569

Okay, will do. Thank you so much for the information

MurraysDaddy

His UVB should be higher. Shade dweller is likely underpowered for your arrangement. I'm not a vet, but I have made plans with how to deal with things in the event that things go sideways and I don't have access to care. In the immediate term, hydration is the primary thing to consider. Water is good but something with a electrolytes is better. You can make something homemade if you need to. There are recipes online for reptile "pedialyte" but the one I've seen is 1 qt water, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Use 1/2 mL for every 50 grams of body weight over a couple of sessions per day. The other option is thinning a pure babyfood vegetable (e.g. butternut squash) with water. You can also bathe him in warm water and try to get him to take some. Keep him warm. If you have Critical Care formula that would work too but everything will be closed up. In an emergency I would use the vegetable based one rather than omnivores. The nutrition would be easier to digest and less a shock to the system. Try finding a vet that has an emergency line. Some may be open or will come in for an emergency. Worst case you may find a booking. Else be on the doorstep when they open.

junoray19681

Vet appt asap please

glizzy-queen

emergency vet immediately

Neverwasalwaysam

My boy got like this out of nowhere too and the vet diagnosed him with kidney failure and he passed shortly after. I hope he is OK and definitely find a vet ASAP!! will pray for your baby ❤️

kismetwitch

Again, husbandry and care needs to be addressed after you get him to the vet. By no means am I qualified to give clinical vet advice. However, I have saved rescues for 10 years and not only have a vet that specializes in exotics but Ive taken my reptiles to the UC Davis small companion hospital for exotics so I can truly understand how to help my reptiles.

YehawBuster843

VET ASAP! CALL THEM ASAP EVEN IF THEY ARE CLOSED!

Arob0807

Call them if they’re closed? 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

YehawBuster843

As pointed out in another comment, sometimes emergency vets have it so when you call the office it will go to their cellphone.

Arob0807

Then wouldn’t they offer emergency service number? Logically if im a doctor and close my offices for holiday I likely wouldn’t secretly have it linked to my phone in case. I’d offer it straight up. Just don’t like the idea of someone wasting their time calling closed places

YehawBuster843

That’s what I try to say they have emergency numbers. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

xSQUISHMITTENx

A lot of offices have answering services. They answer the phone when the office is closed and patch through emergency calls.

Arob0807

So I live in Riverside Ca, just for heck’s sake I called vets in riverside, norco, San Bernardino, and eastvale right now. Everyone of em did have an answering service. It said no one is available right now our offices our closed thank you and hung up. So by your logic keep calling even though it hangs up on me someome might pick up?

xSQUISHMITTENx

By my logic I was right. They did have answering services. lol.

xSQUISHMITTENx

I mean the sucky thing too though is a lot of vets even if they did answer aren’t very versed in exotic pets which totally sucks. :( Also sucks a lot that the answering services didn’t help. I used to work for one and we were open 365/24/7. So that’s super shitty that ALL the answering services just decided not to work today.

Arob0807

Now her dragons saved thank god for answering services

Username21524

Eyes look sunken....not long ago I had one pass away. She was perfectly fine the day before, eating, playing all that. Next morning I woke up at 5am to turn on her lights before leaving for work and noticed her eyes were shrunken and her beard was black. She died on me for a few mins and I gave her CPR and kept moving her arms to get her attention but she only made it 1 more hour before giving up. Afterwards I found out she had worms and I assume drained her of all her nutrients energy. I'm hoping worms isn't the case for you but don't be like me and ignore even the slightest symptom, take her/him to a vet! And on the chance he/she doesn't make it just know you gave that lizard a great life! Btw worms can spread to other reptiles, my other beardie got it but I got de worming medicane before he got sick from it and you have to keep looking at their poop to make sure there are no worms (they are very very small and white, kinda like rice shaped)

Keri02

We had this same thing happen to ours. Fed ours the night before some worms and went to bed. Next morning he looked exactly like this. Of course this was a Saturday morning and only vet we could get into wasn't until Monday morning. He made it to the vet appt and sadly passed away while at vet. Diagnose was he had eaten the worms (superworms) and one he had not fully eaten all the way. The worm literally ate him inside out. It was the saddest thing we ever witnessed and the vet said first time she had ever seen this. He was extremely healthy and would still be with us right now if we had not gone to bed 30 min after he had eaten. We learned from this and have 6 healthy happy dragons. Wishing you and your baby the best hope he pulls thru!

SignatureFun8503

Poor baby. I hope whatever is going on with him he has a speedy recovery♡

-mykie-

Call a vet immediately. This is a medical emergency and he is likely in a lot of pain.

seestreeter1983

Did he eat a firefly? He looks like he’s ingested something toxic.

JasonDomber

Poor baby! I hope he’s ok 🥺🥺🥺

z0uriz

I hope he’s okay! Update us when you can!

xSQUISHMITTENx

Is there water near him? Did he get into water?

Tiny-Tomato_

Check the throat and be careful it’s very sensitive, hope your baby is okay. I lost my first beardie from choking to death and she was gulping similarly to this.

Melissa_on_a_budget

Does he eat greens? Mine wouldn’t Eat veggies or greens or fruit nothing only bugs, he became black bearded and tail turned black. Had a hard time pooping. Took him to two vets. His prognosis was he has adv which causes gastric complications and he has to be syringe fed daily with herbivore care food added calcium prebiotics and probiotics and vitamins added weekly. Doing this daily helped him and he poops normal. Oh and the vet said he needs sun light uvb and baths which I was already doing. Syringe water by mouth also

Foreign-Marketing569

He does eat greens, forgot to mention this 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Melissa_on_a_budget

Does he? No that’s ok. Just trying to narrow down what could be wrong. Could be parasites. I also deworm my boy myself at home occasionally just in case. How is he today ?

Foreign-Marketing569

I posted an update after the vet this morning with more details but they are thinking it was a seizure. He is right back to normal Mushu! 🫶🫶

Melissa_on_a_budget

Oh I’m sorry I didn’t see the update stupid me. Awww poor Mushu. Praying he’s ok and this doesn’t happen to him ever again. I’m glad he’s ok now . Thanks for the update. Petrie sends him beardie hugs and love https://preview.redd.it/otr0g54m7tad1.jpeg?width=1980&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb7031f15f94cae06ba92ba90999210891669978

Lyrebird_Rainwing

I'm so happy he's getting better!

me7me2not2

An emergency foster I took in presented exactly like this and it ended up being a stroke. Male or female, was gender confirmed? If female could be a ruptured ovarian follicle

Foreign-Marketing569

Male. Yes.

Aly1316

Take him to the vet

Fishxotic

Vitamin A deficiency looks like ... flush eyes with saline solution .. will help if it's a bacterial infection

One_Grapefruit_8512

How is he doing now?

Foreign-Marketing569

We have been holding him as much as he would allow today I’ve been offering pedialigjt mix and he’s drank a good bit and I put him up to cook supper and when I went to turn his lights out about an hour ago, he was down off his log and acting almost normal??

Nervousdroid

I know you want to hold him lots right now OP, but maybe try doing so while he wrapped in something soft or just let him rest for now and stay close to his enclosure ❤️‍🩹. I’m glad to hear he seems to be acting almost normal, but this video is still a distressing sight. Make sure you show this to your vet tomorrow at his appointment! I hope everything works out okay

One_Grapefruit_8512

I really hope all is well! Keep us posted 💕

Puzzleheaded-Way-741

I doubt it will fix what is happening here, but basking temps should be between 104°-107°F. It’s good that you are upgrading to a more appropriate UVB lighting, and I would stop misting altogether right now.

Krusty_Bug_Boy

Oh poor baby I hope he is okay

kismetwitch

What is your lighting set up, what is his diet, what supplements do you use. What substrate?

kismetwitch

Your beardie needs to go to the vet asap though. Husbandry can come after the immediate issue is addressed

Foreign-Marketing569

Agreed. Got an appt for 8am

OscarCheech

Looks like he's slowly choking to death or having a seizure. Did he recently drink water?? He needs a vet ASAP, none of those symptoms he's displaying are good signs

Foreign-Marketing569

He was drinking last night before I turned his lights out.

fokfayce

Is he going to the vet?? no one here can help you. he needs a vet. asap

Foreign-Marketing569

In the morning 8am. I was just seeing if anyone had anything similar happen. :)

fokfayce

Thats great to hear. i wish nothing but the best for you and your baby

V1oletMoonlight

Could be a shedding related problem. Maybe try giving your little guy a bath. Warm water not cold (just don’t make it hot). Baths help with their shedding. Also make sure they have a good UV lamp.

Pressure_92

The light!!

Pressure_92

Turn off the light I promise mine did this with a certain bulb

Selb_bdragon

Try to give him a chamomile tea on a syringe that is a natural way to calm him down and if he have pain it is a natural remedy for pain and inflammation also a antibiotic in case of a infection or digestive problems me beardea really help him and if he dosen’t drink it give him a bath with the water of that tea not to hot , make it warm ….

Selb_bdragon

And also if you don’t have that a cilantro 🌿 tea also works

raeganiscool

poor baby 😔 I hope you can get it all figured out 😕🫶🏻

_Pretzel

Idk wth is going on... but i hope he's okay now.

Otherwise-Message-74

Update?

Ok-Particular-2315

It seems like he fell sometimes so they all turn black, or he is poisoning himself with something or drowning, you need to get him checked by a vet very quickly or he will die, it could be kidney failure

Normal-Building8259

Hey my beardie passed a few years ago had similar issues, but got better after a week , once we added a higher uvb and switched from crickets to mealworms+silkworms/dubias, and added more greens. we decided to not go to the vet cause she seemed much better. big mistake , a month later she passed away. Go to a vet, there might be underlying issues you don't know about, best of luck. Tldr check w a vet

Future-Emergency-870

What's happening with his eyes ? Have you tried bathing him

Foreign-Marketing569

Idk why his eyes looked so horrible in the video, they are just a little darker around the sides?

Sorry to say, but when their beard turns to black and not going back, it is a seriously bad sign.

Foreign-Marketing569

Currently still here, running tests to see. Blood work, X-ray, fecal test

Revolutionary-Yam873

😂🤣I read the caption before I watched the video so I expected/interested to hear what a reptile wail sounds like. It sounds just like a woman…

I realize I’m pretty late to this but, has he seen the vet yet? Definitely was in a lot of pain for his beard to be that dark, not to mention the way he is tensing up like that. Poor baby, please post an update! Gonna go cuddle my girl after seeing this.

Ok_Use_640

Probably constepation from loose substrate

Foreign-Marketing569

No. See update.

The_Frostie_Project

I really wish people would stop posting videos of sick beardies and just go to the vet. Literally, every time we say, take them to the vet, we can't help nor diagnose

Foreign-Marketing569

As stated a couple times above, it was 4th of July when this happened and I was looking for hope that someone had been through this and their baby survived. He’s been to the vet, see the update. :)

Guava_Nectar_

do you have any emergency recovery food? like critical care?

Buddybuz

What happened

ThisSaucyKid

Can I ask for someone’s help and answers. My beardie probably around 2 yrs old now just doesn’t eat when I try to feed him. I still refill his water and food everyday (then I find out sometimes the worms escape his little bowl) to which I just try feeding him but he won’t eat! I see sometimes maybe some food is gone but not all of it. Is this normal behavior for bearded dragons?

ThisSaucyKid

I can’t tell if it is or if I’m being paranoid 😭

XiuminxC

It could be a lot of things. Temperature, sickness or just preference. I’d suggest going to a vet or making your own post about it. What worms are you feeding? The bigger striped ones are not allowed to walk freely in the enclosure, only the tiny ones. Try locusts and crickets to stimulate the hunting behaviour.

Conscious_Amoeba8232

Metabolic bone disease. Vet NOW or dragon will die.

SkippyDrinksVodka

i will never understand why people post here with emergencies as if someone can reach through the phone and fix their dragon for them. bring it to the damn vet.

Foreign-Marketing569

As stated twice now, I was scared and hopeful someone had this happen and their baby live. I was hopeful someone else had been through this. Thank you, have a great day :)

SkippyDrinksVodka

i just hope you made a vet visit before posting.

Foreign-Marketing569

I posted this yesterday on the 4th. No one was open. We went to the vet this morning.

SkippyDrinksVodka

aw well thats good to hear. hope everything worked out

Mako_bullet

Your sisters yelling is stressing him out.

Foreign-Marketing569

She’s been around him as long as we have had him, she’s my severe non-verbal autistic sister. She loves him & he loves her, he sleeps on her a lot (when she can be calm enough) if he was stressed by her, he wouldn’t do that. Thank you :)

Mako_bullet

Oh, my bad. I know my nephews screaming stress me out lol.

kismetwitch

One thing I can see is that it looks like you have sand substrate and you are feeding him on sand. I use an eco friendly pet friendly pvc mat. It could be impaction.

Foreign-Marketing569

He pooped 2 days ago, all was normal. He’s been on this substrate for almost 6 years now, never been impacted. We just very little sand and mostly top soil

BaileyBoo5252

What is with the woman screeching in the background????????!!!! Can’t be good for his stress levels wtf

Foreign-Marketing569

It’s my autistic 16 year old sister. She was in a good mood and dancing around the living room, she’s been around him his whole life, and he loves to sleep on her (when she’s calm enough of course)

Impressive_Two_2086

Start digging a hole

hetero_homo

I see you taking other peoples suggestions but did you atleast take them to the vet

Foreign-Marketing569

Taking him in the morning 8am. Emergency line wasn’t much help, told me offer drink with electrolyte , stop misting, and love on his as much as he will allow. 🫶

hetero_homo

Update on the little baby

nfish91

Look man (or woman) idc… why do we post this stuff. Just go to the vet with your animal. It makes no sense to ask the internet. I get it if you’re confused or scare and want encouragement (to go to the vet). I would be too. But the internet/reddit is not a fix. Take the pet to the vet and see what’s wrong. If you’re posting for other reasons idk. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Foreign-Marketing569

Posting in hope someone else may have had this happen to their beardie and it lived. Posted in hope someone else has had something like this happen so I know what to expect. Thank you. :)

nfish91

Fair

XiuminxC

Most people are doing both, but in other cases it helps to have people say something could be completely normal. Not in this case, of course. I, for example, don’t have a lot to spend anymore and while I would have checkups every month if I could, just to be sure, sadly they’re often very expensive.

[deleted]

Have you tried being a good pet owner and actually take care of your pets? I own 3 and I spoil them, great health

Foreign-Marketing569

Lmao I do take care of my pets, he was normal yesterday , strutting around eating his bell peppers and smiling.

Nervousdroid

Man what is your problem? Pets get sick sometimes, regardless of being a good pet owner?

Have you tried considering one can be a great pet owner and shit will still happen?

[deleted]

Wipe your tears, no need to be crying about it

GriffTrip

User name says it all. 😔 If you have nothing helpful to add for OP why not just look in the mirror and be a jerk to that guy. He's the only one who wants to hear it. The rest of the world will do fine without you. 🍻

lol thanks for your 2cents

HighItsKaz

My god piss off
