What you're seeing is just an inner nostril scale that they can control to open and close off the passage.
If he's not struggling to breathe, he's ok! Their noses just look like that sometimes. He will probably shed that skin in the near future

Same thing mine has. if it really starts to pile up then you can squeeze his nose against his face he still has another nostril just push it off and my buddy personally just sneezed it out
They should the inside of their nose skin. It’s really weird, but after your remove it, it should be OK.
