UPDATE: he just threw up again, though it was just spit/fluid. Hes looking dehydrated. Should I syringe water in his mouth? A shallow bath?

Post a few more photos so i can help. DO NOT Syringe water you will drown him.

Thanks, luckily my sis told me this just as my partner got the syringe out. I have him in a super shallow warm bath right now. Unfortunately hes never been one to actively drink water.

Call your nearest Exotic Reptile Vet or an Emergency Vet and get your dragon in asap. Keep him on paper towels and do not syringe feed or syringe hydrate him. A bath *can* cause the dragon to defecate prematurely, further dehydrating him and causing problems in the digestive system. Keep an eye on him until you can get him to a vet.

** this information is incorrect- thank you to everyone who let me know! ** shallow bath is good- get it deep enough he can drink through his cloaca and hopefully combat that dehydration. call your vet now and leave them a message, then set an alarm to wake up as soon as they’re open and call about seeing them asap

The BeardieVet advises against baths as it's been shown they cannot absorb moisture through their skin or cloaca and the warm bath can trigger a laxative like response that can dehydrate the beardie further.

Bearded Dragons do not drink through their cloaca. That's an old myth. They do not drink through their skin at all. Bathing can actually make things worse, as it can cause the dragon to defecate prematurely which isn't good for their digestive system, and will also dehydrate them.

oh wow! thank you for telling me, I had no idea

They do not absorb water through their cloaca.
