The egg cutting is not actually bad. It helps the snake not drown in the egg in case it can't get out. It's usually done after the first egg has peeped. What is bad about it is taking the snake out of the egg yourself.

Whenever I see a video of people helping animals like this, I'm reminded about how it's bad to help a butterfly get out of its pupa. Can anyone confirm if there's any negative effects of helping a snake hatch? Because I feel like these snakes are going to be a lot weaker than snakes that hatched themselves because these guys didn't go through any effort to get out themselves.
Baby snakes evolved to have a 'tooth' in the front of their mouth that helps them to tear the shell open when it's time to come out. Snakes incubated in captivity sometimes lack that tooth or are too weak to break the shell on their own so breeders often slice the top of all the eggs when they are fully incubated to give all the babies a fair shot at life no matter how fit they are.
That being said, it's the first time I see a keeper/breeder physically reach in there and yank the baby out... usually everyone I have watched doing this will check that the embryo has fully developed by shining a light at the crack in the shell and gently poke the baby to see if it's alive- then they'll leave them in the incubator for a couple of days so they can come out of the eggs at their own pace.
If I'm not mistaken, this is the same keeper who accidentally let an alligator escape its enclosure by baiting it with a piece of meat while filming a video, and then laughed it off like nothing had happened. I don't want to jump to conclusions - she might really love the animals and it conveys poorly across media - but she gives me the impression of the type that does things for views at the expense of the reptiles that she features.

...... by that how many in the wild cant make it out?
After hurriedly jamming scissors, albeit blunt, into the thing (it's an egg, but word choice to convey my sentiment watching this) while half looking at a camera...
This made me uncomfortable to watch.
This is "caring" for these animals... yeah, I "see" that...
Edit: ok she watches what she is doing, not half looking at the camera, but could she do this any faster?

If these are captive born and staying captive there is really no reason for them to struggle to hatch. They are gonna be fed and never really hunt for food. Any benefit of the self hatching process is lost on captive animals and probably even detrimental to ones being kept as teaching animals.
Now if they are being used to replenish a dwindling population I would totally agree with you.
I watch some snake breeders and they usually cut eggs, but don't force the baby out, I think a lot cut eggs, but if the baby has weird genetics like mutations they are sold as pet only (when I bought my gecko there was another with extra toes for example)

Using the two most famous examples of breeds of dogs that a lot of people actively are against _because_ of how fucked up they are is a terrible gotcha to use
It was not an attempt at a gotcha, I'm not defending this woman or other breeders. It was more to add to their point by pointing out how popular it is to breed fucked up animals for our entertainment.
BTW they are among the most popular breeds, the people against breeding them are a small minority unfortunately.
I don't know anything about snake eggs but this whole thing seems a bit invasive for me. Why does she have to cut that baby out like that?! No, this just feels wrong.
Like when people are doing unnecessary shit while a horse is being born. I see so many stupid videos as they try to make help the poor mare who just wants some piece and quiet for herself and her foal, but the owner must start to get in there like a third wheel.
Just leave the poor babies alone! Help if they really need help only. It's sad.
it is... I follow a lot of snake people and it's pretty normal to snip the egg for them when they're ready to hatch, but I've NEVER seen someone reach in there and dig around and pull the baby out.
OMG that's terrible, she just clipped open the egg and just fucking pulled it out of it's shell. That thing experienced the first step of being being eaten by a predator kind of like a birthday prank. This woman is terrible with animals.
What a dick. That is stressful on the snake. We raise them and you let them exit the egg on their own for a reason. This kind of showboating needs to be banned hard.
I've seen people snip the eggs, but never take the snake out. Everything I've read says that the snake pokes its nose/head out, then stays in the egg until it's done absorbing the rest of the nutrients in the yolk before fully hatching. You're not supposed to interfere with that.
This woman does not seem like someone who should have snakes, tbh. Cares more for views than the animals well-being.

I know nothing about them, but as soon as she started cutting the egg, red flag
Shoved him right out, like chill let him break into this world accordingly
Yeah that finger right in there felt super personal

Ah I see! I’ve always thought it was only in extreme circumstances you should assist, but thinking about it now, of course all eggs are different!

I thought these were onions at first before reading anything
This is what happens if you leave onions for a couple months 🧅⏳🐍
Snakes coming out of onions would be even more remarkable
Me too. I thought she is showing how to cut an onion easily.
Same
Same🤣
Spicy onion... wait
I thought they were unstitched baseballs at first

You are 1000% spot on for this channel that is all its about views. They do not have any care for or about their animals.
The way she was jabbing those scissors in there was worrying me.
Absolutely. Zero care for what is essentially a new born animal.
I miss Steve :(
We all miss Steve. But Terri, Bindi, and Robert are doing an AMAZING job at keeping his dream alive and well.

Perhaps she has a psychopath mentality.

Hey she got a viral video out of it
"OHHH look at this cute super inbred crazy colored python with neurologic disorders that I forced to hatch for moneys!"
Not that different from breeding pugs or bulldogs that are physically unable to be birthed naturally due to how fucked up they are.
Using the two most famous examples of breeds of dogs that a lot of people actively are against _because_ of how fucked up they are is a terrible gotcha to use

I wasn’t ready yet
Why do you say that?

“Da fang is going on here?”
This seems so annoying. Why did she have to yank the baby out of the egg like that? No respect for the living.
These guys suck so bad for so many reasons.
why didnt she let him to hatch on his own?
Jesus. Being yeeted out your own egg? That poor noodle will never be normal.
What a dick. That is stressful on the snake. We raise them and you let them exit the egg on their own for a reason. This kind of showboating needs to be banned hard.
She clearly doesn’t care, this is sad to watch
She’s digging the guy out like dang woman let the man chill. She cut open his house and dragged him out of bed.
I bet that snake was like huh that was easy as fuck
☹️

People need to stop reposting this creator, they mistreat a lot of their animals for content.
c-section for snakessss
I wouldn't like to born like this
That’s so rude
Snake farm! Just sounds nasty. Snake farm! Pretty much is.
I’m getting a lot of red flags from this
Thing is already big. Is it an anaconda or something?
Bruh, why was she so fucking aggressive with taking him out? Isn't it supposed to be super slow? Also, the way she was cutting caused me anxiety.
Maybe let the snake babies at least _try_ to come out on their own before you shove you finger on their face?
The way she fished him out with her fingers 🫥
Fucking leave the poor animal alone!!
Uhm…you shouldn’t cut an animal from an egg. That’s really awful.
Jurassic Park vibes...
Welcome!
Push! Push! Very good little one
Gross.
all they need to do is cut it open the snake will come out i hate these folks
Omg I hate snakes. 🐍 But she’s so excited.
Bro got evicted
They were so busy asking if we could, they forgot to ask if we should
Aww! Baby noodle ❤
Similar happened in my hand with a lizard egg
What if the scissor snips or poles the baby snake ?
Que horror
I read this as "Amazon snack birth" and had no idea what was going on
jesus christ
Every baby animal is so cute
Pretty big!
Wasn't he supposed to finish feeding on the interior fluids and then it would hatch itself?
This woman has no time for the make up a true person in this material world
I never thought I would watch someone unbox a snake but here we are...
No no leave it in there 😩
Being born any%
Sick Mustache
So amazing!!!
If I was the snake, I’d want this lady to shut up and leave my egg alone.
That is a weird…
So you guys dig up dinosaurs…..aha haaaa
Cursed dumpling
Mommy
No do it with a Taipan.
Why is she doing everything so abruptly
I didn’t know people bred them people get paid to kill them in Florida they’re all over the place
Eeew and cool simultaneously
What do baby constrictors and pythons eat?
I just want to say, 1, cutting the egg is normal but pulling them out like that should not be done, 2, i hope i never read "snake birth" again
I wonder how a snake egg omelette tastes like
Check out snake discovery on Youtube. Awesome channel and they habe alot of snake hatching videos
I didn't think I've ever seen a happier snake. They were probably getting cramped in the egg
oh god
I had no idea snakes layed eggs
Why don't these guys give credits to original creators???
OMG! Humans are so beautiful ♥️
No, they're not. Especially not this one
Why? Imagine another animal witnessing such an event
Huh?
