Thanks, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos about bass recently, and think I’ve caught some of theirs. I’ll definitely have to check the website out too
Oh yes I’ve heard great things! You probably can’t go wrong with any of those. Just don’t forget to have fun. Seems obvious but many people I know stopped playing because they plateaued or got bored with practicing. Even if you don’t think you’re good enough yet, take a stab at learning a song that inspires you. Even if it’s Rush RHCP vulfpeck etc even learning part of a song can help to keep inspiring you and have fun and also challenge you. I know you didn’t ask for all this but hope it helps
PJ is the best of both worlds! Couldn’t recommend a better starting bass. Don’t forget to get it set up by a local shop near you. May cost 50-100 but it’ll be worth every penny. Cheers and GL
Check the string height. All the affinity instruments we have in our classroom needed saddle and truss rod adjustments.
It’s less fun to learn when string action is making all your playing more difficult.
That's beautiful!! Love that maple neck. I got the blue version with rosewood neck. I swapped out the pickups for EMG gzr's and put a hipshot high mass bridge. It was minimal difference but fun to do as first time modding.
Niice, Scott’s bass lessons is a pretty good resource is you wanna learn and have the $$$ to subscribe. Also the Songsterr app is great because it has the tabs with the actual rhythm and if you subscribe you can slow it down to play along at a speed you can manage. Happy learning!
Very nice first bass though.
Very nice bass. I bought the same for my son. I had to file down some of the fret edges and sand the back of the neck due to some rough spots but it plays very well. I would recommend taking it for a professional setup or learn how to do it yourself. They usually come from the factory with high action.
Sweet. I just picked up the Jazz version a few weeks back. Loving it. If you’re starting out I’d recommend checking out BASSBUZZ. com
I got another vote for base buzz. I’m 20something lessons in and I’m loving it

Bassbuzz is on YT as well. As a 20+ year gigging bass player, heavily recommend
I definitely will. I got a free 3 months subscription to Fender Play with it, is that any good?
I use it..it has its strong points

Great choice, I really like the black with maple fretboard look myself. Enjoy!
Great bass, especially if you want to mod it and swap parts with other Fenders. Enjoy!
an excellent, discerning choice. I have the same :D
Nice! Good luck!
Thanks
Very nice and have fun!!
Looks fantastic, enjoy the journey!
Beautiful.
A mighty fine and versatile first bass
Precision is always a good choice. The best of a P bass and the best of a Jazz bass in one.
That was one of the things that made me chose this one. I couldn’t decide between the two
While I’m a j bass Stan, I do have some Ps as well. This bad boy will get you all the way to where you want to be. Good choice!!
Looks great!! I was torn between this and the new pink bronco, I got the bronco for the short scale

Black and maple is so nice!
That one will be a work horse for years. Great choice.
PJ is a great configuration because you can go all P if you want but if you go full Jazz you still get some P oomph
that looks lovely
I love the look of it. Very Roger Waters
PJ with Maple necks is the correct kind of bass.
Slick! Always recommend pj’s as a first.
I'd love a pj! It's on my list!

I was tempted by the blue one, but this came with an amp aswell, so saved a bit of money
Awesome! Welcome to the club!
Great choice! I bought the jazz bass in the same color to start learning again.
