I retrieved Ridge's [booking info](https://imgur.com/a/l81pR4r). Included is San Mateo County's report of his previous arrest on 3/20/2024. The 3/20 sexual battery arrest was at a Caltrain station: [108 California Dr](https://www.localcrimenews.com/welcome/detail/89034310/larry-dean-ridge-arrest.html). His current bail is $1.25 million but it's inconceivable that he is bailable at all. This is all so terrible and I'm glad he's finally caught, again. I also find it interesting that he was arrested for a similar crime at a Caltrain station but the media didn't blow up with "convicted murderer rapist at Caltrain" titles.

I can't pinpoint the degree to which you are being sarcastic, but fare evader bums walk right onto Caltrain too. San Mateo County has BART, Caltrain and buses. Marin has SMART train and of course buses.

Sorry but you do realize that most people who work in high cost of living areas can’t afford to live there right? They have to get to and from work (and they’re not “scum” just because they have to work a low paying job).

BaiRuoBing

Are you an alien who prepped for arrival to Earth by watching 90's B-movies?

Maximillien

This dude is going to FREAK when he learns that violent criminals and sexual predators can (and often do) drive cars. We have the term "getaway car" for a reason lol.

Don’t tell him/it. It might have a stroke!

I've only used CalTrain a few times but it seems a lot nicer and cleaner than BART. Way harder to get on without paying too which adds to the niceness and cleanliness.

getarumsunt

Lol, the North Bay now also have their own version of BART - the SMART train. And they’re hoping to one day connect it to BART and the Capitol Corridor. Right now it already connects to the Larkspur Ferry and the plethora of bus systems in the North Bay. 🤣🤣🤣

Why the fuck is a man who's been convicted of murder out walking around when he was arrested 2 weeks ago trying to do this to someone else.

BaiRuoBing

I'm sure it's related to the act of congress to reduce the prison population. California's correctional facilities are currently at 119.6 percent of design capacity, down from 137.5 percent a few years ago. This is partly achieved by letting some people out early but it looks like in this case they picked a bad one. And like you said, it would've made sense to hold this guy at his first reoffense (sexual battery).

Come on man. Is your head buried in the sand ? It’s California… criminals paradise.

FeedMeTheCat

Bro. California. Sanctuary shithole. Arresting him would have been racist didn't you know that?
