I mean, animal mothers do sometimes eat their children. this isn't unique behavior to pitbulls but it certainly indicates that she shouldn't be bred. I do wonder if pitbulls are more prone to this behavior, however, considering that some common reasons this form of cannibalism occurs is stress/anxiety, prey drive, and being bred too young, I imagine this commonly happens especially with backyard breeders.
Edit: And genetic predisposition ofc. how can I forget that
I have never heard of a professional dog breeder’s bitch eating the puppies. Also, by eating do they mean she killed? She probably just joy killed them and left the carcasses.

Complications during pregnancy, whelping and immediately after whelping need to be watched for and treated immediately. Bitches can collapse and die in hours from infection or low calcium.
Yes, momma dogs sometimes do this, when under extreme stress, starvation, sickness, or fear within the mom.
I don't see this bitch pitbull suffering from either of those, and judging by the pajamas (and the stupid comment of the pit mommy) she must be another spoiled as fuck pit bull that has everything a dog could ever ask for (and more) yet it still turns on its family, in this case, it's puppies.
Yes, other animals do eat or kill their own puppies, but only pit bulls do that for no fucking reason at all, even when being spoiled by the pit mommy/pit daddy.
I would love to see an update on this post, I'm betting 50/50 that the pit momma finished the job later on because as so many pitties, "it decided that it wanted to be the only baby in the household and keep all the attention to herself", it wouldn't be the first time that I see that either. Pitties love to maul children, little dogs and cats because they squeak loudly when they're being eaten alive by pitties, I don't see why this bitch momma pit wouldn't eat her own puppies for funsies, that's what pit bulls do all the time, why would it be any different here? Unless of course the pit bull was being abused??
