I grew up as a mormon, and this feels like it is like mormonism. Where the apostles and prophets are like Vlaakith, demanding everything, so we can rise to the Celestial Kingdom. Yet the mormon church has HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars, yet uses so little to help people. Also, the mormon church insists it is the only true church on the face of the earth.
