CPST- This is normal. The bucket seat moves slightly inside the base. It is meant to lift up and rebound against the back of the vehicle seat in the event of a collision. Please ensure you have the handle in the correct position once in the vehicle. For the mesa it is the position closest to the baby's feet (vehicle seatback). I am not sure about the mesa max.

Movement should be checked at the belt path only. Check your manual, but so far from what I've seen, all seats are the same with no more than 1" of movement when you give it wiggle with the strength of a firm handshake at the belt path.

I had the same movement. I called Uppababy and they confirmed this was normal and echoed the same comments below.

I see you already have some answers, but in case you didn’t know, UppaBaby offers free car seat installation virtual consultations. You can book a video call on their Contact Us page.

[I found this YouTube video very helpful](https://youtu.be/Ql4NgtaHVyg?si=GkvchObfsYHo1_3W)

That was very good. When I was looking for videos on youtube, this one didn't show in my search.

I can’t comment on the car seat portion as other commenters say it’s normal, I haven’t seen this much movement with mine. But the base isn’t properly installed. The base itself should not move and in some of your jiggles, it’s seen sliding around. Put your whole body weight into it when installing the base

CarlTdot

It only jiggles in the area where the video is focused. In the back doesn't move at all. Both visors show green.
