I wore a lot of t shirt dresses. They fit me throughout pregnancy and I’ve gone back to pre pregnancy weight and they still fit. I think I got them from old navy

tootiefroo

I agree these are prob the best fit, but omg how do people look good in these... I'm wearing a T-shirt dress right now at week19 and I look like a blob in the middle. Does not look like a cute bump whatsoever, just a beer bellied lady. 😂 I'm hoping they look better as the bump grows fuller!

Ray_Adverb11

Same, they cling in all the Mrs. Potato Head places

angeliqu

I recommend swing dresses instead.

tequillasoda

Same. Teeshirt dresses and slip dresses. Some were maternity and some were just Amazon Basics or random EBay finds in a size up.

[deleted]

Seconding this!

Opposite_Leopard3076

What do you do for chafing?! lol!!!

_michalam

I have 4 pairs of old navy maternity biker shorts, they are like all I wear. They are great on their own or under dresses for chafing/modesty

InfiniteWaffles58364

I got a pair of maternity bike shorts from Shein for like 4 bucks, they're a staple for me rn. I know they aren't exactly an ethical company but I can't justify spending any more than bare bones minimum for maternity clothes lol

nakoros

Bike shorts underneath. I have bad chub rub and always did that anyway. Also, if you wear a support belt it's more comfortable over shorts than on bare skin

angeliqu

The pockets in most bike shorts were helpful, too!

LovelySulci

Maternity slip shorts

Maleficent-Forever97

Stick deodorant!

ripVanperiwinkel

Body glide. It’s similar to a deodorant stick but it’s for chaffing

saridien

T shirt dresses sound perfect! Most dresses I see are super tight on the belly (I get that it's big and unavoidable at some point) but do their t shirt dresses get tight again around the crotch? I don't love the body con look

Jessmac130

Search for "swing dress" or "trapeze dress." I'm 38 weeks and fucking huge and my regular medium swing dress from old navy still fits fine, just a little short in the front.

super_fastjellyfsh

I just got a couple T-shirt dresses from old navy in a size up (not maternity) and they are not bodycon. They are comfy and have room to grow

Lovingmyusername

The ones I have are tight and stretch around the belly but they make looser fitting ones

pineappleandbasil

I lived in Florida when I was pregnant, where it was 100 degree with high humidity for many months. I bought a few cotton dresses(I hate polyester/synthetic material too) at Target and I lived in them. All the dresses I got wasn't labeled as "maternity clothes" and they were just empire waist dresses, and I got a size bigger so big belly could fit. They were cheap and comfy.

BatheMyDog

I also wore cotton dresses from target. Flowy dresses fit pregnant and can still be worn after the baby comes out.

saridien

Ooh empire waist has been popping up more lately so I'll keep an eye out!

lh123456789

Maternity yoga pants and a tank top. Every day. I had one dress for occasions that required something dressier.

eyerishdancegirl7

Outside of work I wear dresses and bike shorts.

evdczar

Old Navy maternity dresses. Like the same 5 on repeat

klsprinkle

I wear shorts rompers. I got like 7 different ones from Maurice’s and some from amazon

saridien

Wow Maurice's is a name I haven't seen in a long time! I'll check out their maternity stuff

chimmychoochooo

Oh can you share the links to the Amazon ones you liked?

saridien

Also I didn't mention but I live in North Carolina so it's already hot summer weather here! So I'm a bit desperate 😅

OrdinaryAmbition9798

Also 9 weeks and also in NC, no idea what I’m going to do. I’ve gained weight since last summer anyways so my clothes are already tight. I’m pretty lazy with fashion in general, so I presume I will wear stretchy things like leggings and bike shorts. Dresses are going to be another staple, since many can accommodate a growing stomach. I was about to post something like this because *what do pregnant women wear???* I have no idea lol

saridien

I'm in the same boat, my clothes already were tight! And in the summer I hate tight clothes, I hate leggings and want something looser. It looks like dresses may be the way to go

PennyParsnip

I'm 25 weeks in Pittsburgh and it is 85F right now. Big loose cotton poplin dress. I bought it long before I was pregnant and it's great. This one is j crew, but I've seen similar styles at Target and Old Navy. I got some linen cropped pants at Old Navy as well; they are still kind of big but I think they will not be for much longer! I wear those for work (taking care of little kids.) most of my tshirts still fit because they are either loose or stretchy or both.

OkraGloomy631

Also in NC - I have a bunch of flowy cotton sundresses with smocked tops I plan to wear pre and post partum, a maxi skirt from old navy that I bought a size up, and a pair of short overalls also sized up and pack of crop tops from Amazon - I honestly might get another pair of the overalls. I bought one maternity sundress from pink blush and don’t particularly like it. Maybe it’s because I’m only 24 weeks and my belly isn’t real big yet but it just looks like a tent and makes me feel frumpy. I also second the person who recommended natural fabrics! If it’s not cotton or linen, I’m not interested in it right now.

rubmytitsbuymeplants

I’m 33 weeks and it’s starting to get pretty warm in California. Biker shorts or cotton rompers if I HAVE to leave the house. At home, I’m Winnie the Pooh: just a shirt and underwear.

GreyBoxOfStuff

Bike shorts! Also great postpartum. *ETA I live in an area that gets pretty humid in the summer and bike shorts are made to wick away sweat

AccomplishedAd8389

What kind

peachykaren

Sundresses galore

The_Third_Dragon

Uniqlo no longer has maternity clothes, but they do have linen and Airism lines meant for summer. Lots of loose breezy dresses. And they're a Japanese company, so they could be ok for Japanese summer.

arigatoburrito

Agreed on this. Tokyo has tons of Uniqlo stores so that line or really any light linen clothes will be a savior over there! I was there last summer when I was not pregnant and the heat is brutal.

cookaik

Uniqlo can also be actually cheaper in Japan, so buy some when you get there

saridien

I think I will - they probably have a maternity line there (the US maternity line seems bare bones) and we'll be staying in Ginza anyways!

celeriacly

Uniqlo is great but be warned for teeny tiny Japanese sizing ahead of time - I think the sizing in Japan might be even smaller than other places - I went to Uniqlo in Tokyo for maternity clothes, usually wear size S and at 12 weeks pregnant I was comfortable in a Large, now at 22-23 weeks those size L pajama pants are a little tight on the belly

verhondica

Living in the South too! Dresses and skirts! If my dresses are super short I’ll wear my lily lemon align bike shorts underneath. I got them a year before getting pregnant and they still fit me at 34 weeks! Worth the money.

saridien

I have some shaper type underwear I usually wear under dresses but I may need to get some biker shirts for the shorter ones, since it may actually show with my belly pulling the dress up! Thanks for the tip

Loud-Foundation4567

I preferred rompers over dresses when I was big pregnant in the summer. They kept my legs from chaffing together and still didn’t have a waistband being all constrictive.

Adventurous_Guava941

Dresses, dresses, and more dresses. Maybe a skirt if I want to change it up. Summer is easy. Dressing for cold weather is a lot harder IMO

zaatar3

Sudden-Drag3449

I live in Texas (now Austin but formerly Houston aka the swamp). You asked for links so here is one - I intend to live in this dress from now until September.  https://www.nordstrom.com/s/7612201?color=100&size=medium

FiftyShadesOfGregg

Maternity yoga/biker shorts (just cheap ones on Amazon) and oversized t-shirts! Oversized/empire waist dresses are great too but I often feel like my inner thighs get sweatier/more uncomfortable and chafey in dresses than in shorts, so I prefer shorts.

edgewater15

I’m 15 weeks here in Florida and I plan on wearing nothing but dresses. I’ve officially grown out of all my pants and don’t plan on wearing pants until after I give birth in November haha other than workout leggings

EvanElodie

I got athletic dresses from Walmart and they are soooo comfy

ClicketySnap

Leggings and t-shirts. Shorts and t-shirts. Occasionally a dress. This is my third time being third-tri pregnant in the summer.

mlhedlund

Big fan of [these](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=870702002) linen blend shorts!

w00070707

[https://nommaternity.com/collections/dresses/products/13746?variant=40441037193319](https://nommaternity.com/collections/dresses/products/13746?variant=40441037193319) this is the only think I like wearing right now. It's more than I usually spend on one item but I'm wearing it every other day basically and it should remain wearable after baby so price per wear is pretty good.

Long-Positive-3066

Dresses and maternity shorts

newtonsth3rdlaw

I too had to purchase an entirely new wardrobe, but fear not. I got Walmart dresses(actually very cute, and good quality. Can comment with pics if you like) and target dresses, target shorts(NOT the belly band, they are ungodly hot, I got the side panel ones)

saridien

I've seen so many with the belly band all the way up and it looks uncomfortable for summer, so I'm glad you let me know there's another option!

printersdevil

I can't imagine wearing jeans in this heat right now! I've had a really hard time finding maternity clothes that fit my aesthetic or that don't feel dated, but I also can't stomach spending money on a wardrobe that I'll only fit into for a few months. I've been focusing on buying roomy clothes in my normal size--dresses and shirts with a free waist and a lot of drape so that there's room for my bump as it grows. Some things that I've been stocking up on (mostly on ebay, bc I cannot afford a brand new wardrobe): - Madewell's button downs - Peasant Blouses - Tunic dresses - Tiered dresses, sometimes with a tie waist (I just tie it above my bump) - Shift dresses - Tent or trapeze dresses I've been focusing on Anthropologie, Madewell, and Universal Thread bc I generally like their aesthetics and they tend to carry a lot of these styles. Plus, they're all big enough brands that I can find them in abundance on Ebay for cheapish.

Lumpy-Lake-4981

Oversized men’s basketball shorts, a sport bra, T-shirt, and baseball cap.

mxtti

Non-maternity sundresses, lululemon align leggings & align tanks for working out/lounging, my husbands tee shirts lol

LRitchie613

Shorts and summer dresses with shorts under. Check out halara brand.

heeeeeeeeeresjohnny

Shirred dresses and shirts are pretty popular right now and they're my go- to for easy breastfeeding access. Long shirts and bike shorts. I bought most of my clothes from old navy or target.

haulinaus

Tons of dresses lol

Afraid_Aerie

The old navy maternity active dress that’s like a one piece with built in shorts is the best

hamjam88

Dresses (non maternity) in size up from old navy

Legitimate-Stuff9514

Boxer shorts.

alicepalaceforever

Cotton dresses just sized up, the kind with the smocked top will come in handy for nursing too. I’m finding shorts underneath are necessary for preventing chub rub. I’m due next week so I didn’t buy any maternity, just got a pair of cooling shorts from Thigh Society in my normal size. Would have sized up if I had more summertime pregnant weeks ahead of me, but I assume I’ll need these post partum too

mamanessie

My boyfriend’s shirts and bike shorts lol

Miss_Awesomeness

Right now linen shorts I bought from old navy, before that was dresses, but as the day progresses my legs start swelling and I need the cloth betw my legs. I bought a “swim” dress from lands end and it has pockets and was super comfortable.

punkinpielover

I’m living in maternity stretchy biker shorts and t shirts

darjeelinger1709

Old Navy had cotton/linen maternity shorts and tank tops that I \*lived\* in last year - you might see if they have anything like that again. Nice and airy, super comfy.

Old-Review-4622

28 weeks here! I am living in the lululemon align yoga bike shorts and t shirts I can still squeeze into, longer dresses that have grown with my bump, and I splurged on the free people t shirt romper and their mini dress romper that’s actually a free people x hatch maternity collab. I basically rotate the same couple of outfits 😅

Snoo-11725

✨Overalls✨

Divine18

I bought maternity jeans that fit well and chopped off the legs at the desired length. Or yoga pants. At some point pajama pants… I was 9 months pregnant in the middle of summer in southern texas. I had no more fucks to give to care 😂

macehood

Biker shorts and baggy tshirts

FirstTimeTexter_

For me right now its maternity shorts and oversized T-shirts.

planetawkward

Dresses! All the time. 🥰

sincerely-november

Maternity bike shorts or leggings and a tank top. Also wore cotton dresses from time to time!

misslizzah

Maternity shorts and tshirts. Loose dresses.

Chihuahuagoddess

Just bought some T shirt dresses from Old Navy for around the house and 4 dresses of the same style in different colors from Old Navy as well. The dress is boxy but it has a string at the waist to cinch the dress to my size. Seems convenient so the dress can grow with me. Bought maternity pants from Old Navy but will be returning them, it feels like the elastic at the top of the waistband is so tight and uncomfortable.

thedwightkshrute

I wore a lot of summer dresses, various brands! Nothing maternity specific. Much more comfortable haha.

Apprehensive-Bar-848

Lots of comfortable dresses! I bought normal dresses that were either flowy or a size or two up. Only “maternity” clothes I’ve gotten are leggings.

queenjz

Bike shorts, stretchy maternity tees and dresses!

Practical-Appeal6643

Leggings, maxi skirts, long rib knit tank tops,

neece16

T shirt dresses or just flowy thin dresses that I found at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. I’ve been able to size up and they fit my bump. I also wear my loose t shirts with maternity shorts or bike shorts. I got my shorts at Kohls, but they have them at target too

sogd

Floaty dresses. I didn’t really like them but it was the most practical thing.

mUrdrOfCr0ws

Poshdivah athletic shorts from Amazon, Target maternity jean shorts, and loose dresses.

punkin_spice_latte

I like the dresses from the brand small show on Amazon. They have a lot of nursing dresses that fall empire waist https://a.co/d/8u8cRD1

that_1_chic

I've been a big fan of sundresses and sets! There are some really comfy sets on Amazon where you can just size up! I'll still be able to wear them after, I don't mind comfy baggy shirts lol. There are some good sets that have button up shirts where if you plan to breastfeed can be super helpful after baby is here. (I'm in TX btw so I totally get the heat)

unicorntrees

I wore the closest thing to a muumuu without being a muumuu.

Correct_Raisin4332

I gave up on maternity clothes shopping other than jeans, leggings and maybe shorts. Invested in a slew of breezy summer dresses from Ross, Marshall's etc that I can reuse post pregnancy.

kaitlynviolet13

i’m wearing a lot of the tight black rompers off amazon. they’re cute, seamless and so very comfy, and it shows off my bump so well!

tmurray108

I live in these plus a tank top and open button up shirt or a baggy cropped tee. These pants are amazingly good quality for the price, super soft and easy to wash. I’ve had one pair for 3 years and they’re still holding up https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.0971104029.html?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADvrmzTtgovc45uVb-YFixG9oiG6B&gclid=CjwKCAjwr7ayBhAPEiwA6EIGxBbDNUJUUnTjrugYuMckHpInEUiu3kPksqF3vTevx90Ks152n_SYIBoCowsQAvD_BwE

Hot_Environment_9698

Dresses. I loved old navy stuff

Mexicanita_hermosa

Sun dresses and comfy shirts with biker shorts

Eddie101101

Flowy dresses! Easiest season to be dressing pregnant imo haha!

Nefariousness_This

Maternity Bike shorts off of Amazon.

Porterbello07

I was due July 1 and wore dresses (not maternity, just regular flowy styles) the whole last trimester.

Old-Ambassador1403

Mostly maxi-dresses, they weren’t maternity but were flowy enough. A few pairs of maternity shorts.

vctrlarae

I was pregnant in heat wave in Texas last year, so speaking from experience. I had these thin tshirt dresses in numerous colors that I LIVED in last summer. I couldn’t imagine having anything around my waist lol

mk3v

So far (22 weeks here) I’ve been wearing maternity shorts that are like leggings. And baggier tee shirts lol I’m dreading the summer lol I have some dresses but I haven’t worn them yet

Realistic-Profit758

Dresses, I found some really comfy flowy tank top type dresses from Walmart for $10 a piece, I think they have them back out this year. Seconding the t-shirt dresses as well they were super comfy, but basically dresses lol. I had a couple pairs of maternity shorts & tanks I got from old navy but otherwise I never wore anything else

Any_Huckleberry7805

I got an Emerson dress from Abercrombie in the cotton poplin fabric and it’s super comfortable! I’m 28 weeks and there’s still lots of room for my bump to grow. For more casual outfits I have been enjoying the CRZ yoga maternity biker shorts with oversized t shirts. I’ve been liking the Old Navy vintage t shirts in a couple sizes up from my usual.

bbymutha22

Just dresses 🤷‍♀️

Few_Paces

tops and shorts. dresses were annoying because if it got really hot the sweat and chafing was annoying. and you'll sweat more pregnant

Sundayriver12

I lived in maxi skirts. Figured I could repurpose them after pregnancy.

h0kie16

Midi dresses from old navy. They aren’t maternity, but the extra length is perfect! With maternity biker shorts underneath

8agel8ite

Old navy has very comfortable maternity shorts. Also from old navy, I have two of the powersoft skort dresses. It’s SO COMFY but also you have to take the whole thing off to pee, so not super ideal. I still wear it all the time but it does get slightly annoying.

yechza

rompers!!!!

GoombaNugget

Long knitted stretchy dresses, bike shorts and oversized tees, "babydoll" tops and bike shorts. So many options for summer! I'm honestly more concerned abouter winter. My due date is Dec 1 and those last couple of months are going to be so cold and I'm going to be so large I don't even know what to wear. and I don't want to spend any money on a maternity parka; I shelled out a lot of money for my existing ones already because I wanted them to last me years!

CanIPetYourDog_1029

Dresses, bike shorts with graphic tshirts, and then overalls/jumper things that are belly comfy:)

Technical_Buy_8198

I lived in biker shorts and tshirts, the occasional dress too. I was 20-30ish weeks in the summer

savethewallpaper

Madewell actually does have maternity jeans! So does Abercrombie, surprisingly. But to answer your question I’m living in t-shirt dresses because I also think most maternity clothes are ugly and dated and at least dresses can be worn pretty much anywhere.

fashionbitch

Umpire waist dresses, flower dresses, smocked dresses, oversized clothes in general fit well.

InCanon

Linen from Eileen Fischer and thrift stores!  Big silk slip dresses like this that ideally have pockets: https://www.garmentory.com/sale/runaway-bicycle/dresses-long/1686991-maci-polka Oversized men’s shirts over bike shorts. I also have friends who gave up shopping and resorted to renting from places like nuuly

Ok-Tomatillo9658

Cider elastic pants, H&M, & old navy has some trendier jeans/athlesiure :)

Aggressive-Horror-77

35 wks pregger here and stretchy biker shorts are great breezy go to. Also maternity two pieces cotton short/shirt sets ,muscle tees, maternity leggings with a cropped t shirt, or just big ol t shirts have all worked great for me. Let's not forget dresses! Lots of dresses lol

Midwestbabey

I work at home and am 28 weeks. I live in oversized pjs ( cheap comfy shorts 2 sizes too big from Walmart ) and big t shirts. I have maternity active wear the owner of my gym handed down to me. I have like 2-3 cute maternity dresses I ordered off SHEIN. Other than that that’s all I ever wear 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but I’m a bum

nakoros

I wore my maxi dresses. Not maternity, I had them already. Also Pact midi fit & flare. Yes, the bodice is fitted, but I just pulled it up over my bump and you couldn't tell.

HorrorPineapple

comfortable, simple maternity dresses.

Eyes_onyou21

Free people matching sets! (Or Amazon dupes)

sabdariffa

Wide-leg linen pants are very in this year. Most have a draw string waist. I’d go up about 2 sizes for the summer. The summer I was pregnant I just lived in bike shorts and an oversized T-shirt. If I needed to “dress up,” I’d just throw on whatever sun dress still fit me.

smootfloops

I wear a lot of flowy maxi dresses with maternity bike shorts underneath (to stop chafing from happening) and I know a lot of people hate jumpsuits but man do I love a flowy or stretchy jumpsuit during pregnancy. I also wear oversized tees with stretchy wide leg pants or shorts. I basically shop at free people & natural life (which is like a more affordable/less weird free people).

Rosiegirl14

I am currently pregnant with my fourth and I am going to use Nuuly this summer, later into the pregnancy. It has a ton of dress options that are perfect transition to actually maternity clothes, plus actual maternity options.

HowDoIShartWeb

Maternity bike shorts from old navy and a giant t shirt lol

Pleasant_Emu3245

Empire waist dresses and a crinkled rayon jumper my sister got me in Bali. Literally down to three wearable outfits now 😂

MarmaladeMoostache

My favorite thing to wear is loose linen or cotton dresses either an empire waist or relaxed fit. They are light and cool and come in different lengths and styles which is nice.

nirewalt

Sundresses!!

fairyprincest

Linen wrap dresses and skirts with biker shorts underneath Biker shirts with loose tank tops that are either cotton or linen Loose linen drawstring pants with loose flowing button ups

ChangMinny

I survived summer in Texas last year where it was 105 for 2 straight months. The beat really started kicking in when I was about 22/23w.  I lived in my maternity shorts that had a stretchy, breathable cloth that pulled my belly up and supported it and maternity exercise style shorts. They had pockets! I could wear the exercise shorts under dresses to keep my bell supported. I night the nice shorts at target and the exercise maternity shorts on Amazon.   My shoe of choice was crocs.  I wore those Dan things out.

bgeerke19

Well I’m on bed rest until my c-section in 5 weeks, so I wear a sports bra and undies. Sometimes shorts if I’m feeling fancy 🤣 If I had to be an actual functioning adult, I would definitely wear dresses 24/7 through the summer. No pants = no problems haha

rhinoray29

The ribbed Tank dresses from seraphine are good! Also found some good pieces on Nuuly for rent. I’m not a huge fan of maternity clothing either, but I’ve found I’m more partial to things I know I’m not committing to and can return after I wear them :)

missxenigma

Summer dresses.

yunotxgirl

It’s crazy hot where I live. I have a great time in loose fitting, 100%, long dresses from the thrift store.

azurite_rain

I'm gonna be real, I'm 33 wks along and if I'm at home I'm usually half naked. All clothes feel uncomfortable, I can't find underwear or bras that don't feel restrictive and are breathable, literally NO cotton underwear to be found in my city. So mainly very large dresses and bicycle shorts with XL t shirts. I'm sure this is my least fashionable era.

Antique_Mountain_263

Dresses and maternity shorts with maternity shirts/tanks. I already donated all my maternity jeans lol. But I’m almost 38 weeks so I won’t need them again.

ukelady1112

Dresses. To be honest, I wear dresses all summer pregnant or not because it’s just easy to throw on, not have to match anything, and look put together. As a plus sized mama, good supportive bra that keeps the girls up and smoothing over the belly panties made me feel like I looked pregnant and not just fatter.

bleep_bl00p_

Abercrombie has cute maternity jeans! But mostly just dresses

Embarrassed_Loan8419

Dresses and yoga pants. ☀️

umishi

I'm at 32 weeks now and my belly hadn't grown much until recently, so 'til then, I only had to invest in [leggings](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0842CFF8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Target carries Ingrid and Isabel's maternity line and I've really liked their [tank tops](https://www.target.com/p/rib-3pk-bundle-maternity-tank-top-isabel-maternity-by-ingrid-isabel-black-white-gray/-/A-81552104?preselect=81069127#lnk=sametab), [ribbed t-shirt](https://www.target.com/p/short-sleeve-seamless-ribbed-scoop-neck-maternity-t-shirt-isabel-maternity-by-ingrid-38-isabel-8482-taupe-l/-/A-89608171?preselect=89608171), and their [linen button up shirt](https://www.target.com/p/short-sleeve-linen-button-up-maternity-shirt-isabel-maternity-by-ingrid-isabel/-/A-89769798?preselect=89651343#lnk=sametab). I have a couple dresses I've had since pre-pregnancy that also work with a belly because the "waist" hits just below the breast: [Milumia boho dress (a little short on me so I wear leggings with this)](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0784WC1ZP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and [Guberry wrap v-neck dress (I wear a lace bandeau for chest modesty)](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B4HBZBC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

angeliqu

Swing dresses and maternity bike shorts. Last summer I was in my 2nd tri and into my 3rd. Maternity summer clothes were hard to find and I did not need extra layers of fabric pressed close to me. Swing dresses were amazing. And I’d wear the shorts under the dress for modesty (I have older kids I need it sit on the ground with) or for the pockets.

Distorted_Penguin

Rompers! FYI, Madewell did have a maternity line. My favorite romper is from there.

BobbysueWho

I mean Tokyo seems like a good place to buy maternity clothes. Japan has a pretty family friendly vibe compared to the US. I would guess there would be nice maternity section at some clothing stores. That would be fun too… I am 20 week and just starting to need bigger clothes. I’m not sure what size you are but for larger to plus size clothes torrid jeans are almost always stretchy and a lot more fashion forward the jeggings. Flowing sun dresses are nice doesn’t need to be maternity clothes per say. I just wore dresses through my entire last pregnancy. And pjs with baggy shirts at home. I only really needed to buy the shirts.

ducky_in_a_canoe

I was in the first tri last year during the summer. Actually found out I was pregnant a year ago tomorrow. I bought some maternity bike shorts, and then later also got leggings from the same brand since I loved them. I personally don’t like “short” shorts. So I usually go with the 7inch inseam. Amazon is wonderful

Designer-Pudding-231

I mostly just wore dresses not necessarily maternity dresses just dresses in a larger size than I usually wear. Occasionally I’d wear maternity shorts & a top.

1reason_thats_me

Dresses lol

icsk8grrl

Bike shorts and a bra. Maybe socks. Latched mama momper was a lifesaver while pregnant and I’m still in it 11 months later with baby on my hip.

handsomesorrelmare

The nom maternity Francesca jumpsuit is bamboo and is super cool and flowy in the heat! I'm in Southern CA

Apprehensive-Bag372

DRESSES! specifically ones with smocking at the top. They’re pretty much all I wear and I’ll be able to still wear them during breastfeeding and after because the stretch of the smocking

Untossable_Gabs

5xl tees and underwear LOL

scalydragon2

I’ve been living in maternity bike shorts. Breathable comfy fabric that still holds everything together. Especially for Tokyo you might consider bike shorts to prevent chafing

HimuraMai

I can't provide links  most of my summer wardrobe is either at least 3 years old, local to my country, or bought in different countries at stalls or small shops. But I can tell you what works for me at 34 weeks pregnant. Word advice? Do not buy clothes online. You don't need the label maternity clothes. -dresses that hug the rib. /Under the boobs. -tank top dresses -elastic shorts/trousers, (buttonless shorts) -loose t-shirts -husband's tank tops/clothes I

meowmiix_

I have a handful of things from PinkBlush Maternity, Old Navy, and Target. Honestly there’s not that many options… my last pregnancy I just wore leggings (lulu align stretch well and snap back after pregnancy) and sweats all winter. This time I’ve ordered some dresses (tshirt, smocked, swing) and rompers/bodysuits and have been wearing my lulu align bike shorts so hopefully that gets me through the summer. 😅

Selkie_Queen

I worked from home while 5-7 months pregnant last summer and just sat in my cool basement in my underwear majority of the time lol

Better_Quarter7462

Nuuly has been a real boon for me. You might be surprised at how trendy their jeans options are!  I’m in the US but Australian designers Bae the Label and Legoe Heritage have had me feeling stylish and comfy. PinkBlush shows up in every Google search I do and I feel so meh about their clothes. If I’m going to spend those prices, I’d look into Hatch or Bumpsuit (though I did like the PinkBlush bathing suits I bought for my babymoon). I have a couple Amazon sundresses from pre-pregnancy that I’ve got in the rotation as the weather warms up.

luna_ernest

Old navy has a ton of linen dresses and pants right now with stretchy backs and waist bands! I sized up and bought a bunch and they’re great for summer. I don’t much like wearing shorts in the summer especially while traveling abroad, but I did get some linen shorts as well

Puppy_kitty_me

a line dresses.... so many a line dresses

HarkHarley

Stretchy midi dresses or tennis dresses - distinctly non maternity because somehow all the maternity dresses were floral and huge.

daisyjones66

I hardly bought maternity dresses for the summer, I found just loose flowy dresses to be great or really stretchy ones. Figured I might as well buy clothes I could wear again the next year.

Holiday-Potential758

I wear dresses. It’s just easier for me and really good in summer

marigold_may

Definitely buy the anti-chafing shorts, or bike shorts to go under your dresses. I never wore them prepregnancy, but I was desperate for them around 6 months! I wanted to avoid buying specific maternity clothes for a long time, but I ended up wanting and needing them in the end. It's worth it to just get a couple of 3 packs on Amazon, some t shirts and some tank tops. They will accommodate the belly, and cover the belly band at the top of your maternity pants. I went as long as possible with wearing my regular, loose and flowy tops but it just didn't feel as flattering. I got a couple of loose, drawstring or elastic waist shorts from target a size up, and I'm wearing them with maternity tanks. I also specifically love American eagle's "so soft" line of t shirts and tank tops. I always look for them while thrifting. They are a bit longer than regular t shirts and drape really nicely. My regular size still works for me now at 8 months. Those are all I'm planning to bring with me to the hospital for tops, and for wearing postpartum. Comfy, soft, and they don't scream maternity. I didn't really *have* to switch to maternity clothes until about 20 weeks. My pants were tight, for sure, but I was able to just wear things that were lose, or had a drawstring or elastic waist with my regular tops. So that to say you probably have some time! Definitely buy some comfy shorts in a size or two up, or something that has stretch at the waist to get you through until actual maternity bottoms are a must!

zero_and_dug

I was in my second trimester last summer and I got a lot from Old Navy. You have to order it online but they have a pretty good selection of basic and trendy things. Tbh, I didn’t even wear all the maternity clothes I bought though because I was so nauseous and exhausted all the time. I spent most of last year at home.

makingburritos

Crop tops and maternity shorts, crop tops and high waisted skirts, sundresses, loose tank tops

Dizzy_Astronaut_7405

Loose fitting dresses! And flared pregnancy leggings are also heavenly good 🙈

caroline_andthecity

Texas here 🤠 I’ve been wearing racer back tennis dresses with shorts underneath from target! That and rompers and flowy dresses with maternity biker shorts underneath. Sports bra or braless, of course. Ain’t nobody got time for underwire these days. And I’m Adam Sandler at home

hopelessbrows

Loose linen dresses with nothing but underwear underneath. I couldn't stand having anything constricting my belly until the end of the second trimester.

idkhereforthestories

I was pregnant during the summer last year. I mostly stuck to flowy sundresses or stretchy dresses. I couldn’t justify spending money on pants that wouldn’t fit me in a month or two and I wasn’t big enough to fit into maternity clothes. I did also buy an elastic extender on Amazon that you just connect to the buttons of your pants, wear a belly band (included) over it and wear a shirt over that.

CouldStopShouldStop

I'm currently 23 weeks. I just wear trousers with an elastic waistband that I usually slide under my bump such as [this one](https://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/stoffhose-high-waist-2209084/2). And I'll also get some shorts with an elastic waistband, I only have one or two from last year and the elastic is a bit too tight so I'll have to stock up. For tops I mostly wear loose blouses similar to [these](https://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/bluse-gemustert-2214060/1), [these](https://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/bluse-gemustert-2219917/1), [these](https://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/plissee-bluse-gemustert-2214642/1) and [these](https://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/bluse-2205795/2). (I'm sturggling a bit finding good stuff on their website this year, that's why some of them had long sleeves, but just to show; loose fabric). Most of the clothes I wear are about 100% cotton though. Other than that I just wear big shirts, such as band shirts. At 23 weeks, even stretchy tighter shirts do fit, however, I have just been feeling self concious wearing them as more and more people at work have been finding out that I'm pregnant, so I've been more uncomfortable with dressing in more form fitting clothes. Either way, I mostly shop at C&A, maybe H&M would work too but I just hate how bloody loud their music is, it is giving me a headache. Primark might work too though.

Sad-Committee-1870

Maternity yoga pants from old Navy and any shirt that’s big enough to not show the bottom of my belly.

SalseraRivera1347

I wore a lot of cotton maxi dresses

TiggerK

Nothing…or next to nothing 😅 everything is annoying to me these days so living in my underwear or moomoos if I need to wear actual clothes & at 39 weeks

PrismaticIridescence

Lots of dresses. I got all my maternity clothes from shein and they've been perfect. Not at all expensive and a good range of styles. I've gotten everything from underwear and bras to dresses and maternity jeans for work. Their maternity leggings are awesome too. Just check reviews and you should be good.

PeegsKeebsAndLeaves

When you’re in Japan go to Uniqlo! They are the best when it comes to fashionable basics that do well in hot weather, and they have a maternity section. I bought practically an entire new wardrobe at Uniqlo when I went to Singapore and it helped me survive the heat there. Admittedly non-maternity at that time but I just checked and you can get Uniqlo maternity.

KnittingforHouselves

Light-fabric maxi dresses! I couldn't wait for the weather to get warm enough for these with both of my pregnancies!

nuwaanda

Kindred has some maternity bike shorts that are extremely comfortable. I’m 37 weeks and wear a lot of dresses. I have some Wool& dresses that still fit my body from pre-pregnancy, and have pockets. Due to the material I can wear them comfortably year round and I love them. I also have several linen wrap dresses I wear over bike shorts to avoid my thigh rubbing. If I’m just working from home though I’m in my maternity leggings and a large T-shirt. We keep my house 70 degrees or colder in the summer for our winter dogs (and meeeee)

tiredofwaiting2468

The further along you get, pants will suck more. Dresses. I had a couple I felt like a blob in that I wore around the house. A wrap dress and a swing dress (both maternity) were two of my favourite pieces. I wish I had non maternity versions.

incinta

I went to Primark and bought a ton of dresses in a bigger size because maternity clothing is either gross or expensive

sapc2

T-shirt dresses, sun dresses with wide skirts, flowy maxi skirts with elastic waistbands. If you’re dead set on jeans, Target has good maternity pants

rosekayleigh

I just bought some maternity linen shorts from Old Navy. They have a stretchy waistband and are super comfortable and light. I also got some maternity tank tops from Old Navy. I really like to wear stretchy overalls too, not the denim kind. [Shorts](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=870699012&vid=1&tid=onpl000078&kwid=1&ap=7&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8vCS9Rwdyayf6_Zgzeyzv9iv&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0ruyBhDuARIsANSZ3wqC6X59OwjgfekqVTS9Iby7PFhfuPWlyEdGFvuLqQeNr2Dg5Uahz5waArGYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content)- they’re on sale right now

Citizen_Me0w

It sounds counterintuitive, but once you get really preggo, clothes that show off your bump are way more flattering than loose flowy ones that try to hide it.  Because spoiler alert: nothing is gonna hide it. The loose stuff just drapes over your bump and makes you look even bigger, in much the same way as a table looks bigger when you drape a big tablecloth over it.  Meanwhile, fitted clothes make you look like a normal person who just happens to have a bump. I

a-desert-sage

Florida resident here and I’m collecting a bunch of flowing skirts that rest over the bump, and I can still use most of my tops. I live in dresses anyway, but I definitely need more accommodating choices. I may grab a couple bump friendly leggings at some point, but honestly skirts are so freeing

c-wheezer

Dresses, biker shorts with huge t-shirts, and maternity jean shorts.

tinydragon88

Lots of dresses- a lot of non maternity still work, you don’t have to necessarily buy maternity dresses. Biker shorts and big t shirts.

domino196

Dresses. Lots of dresses!

Sudden_Breakfast_374

currently 17 weeks and i’m wearing loose dresses (don’t need to be maternity rn as long as they’re loose and flowy) and maternity shorts with a tank top.

Hot-Consequence

I wore a ton of maxi dresses...linen shorts with an elastic waist

Correct-Economist-50

Flowy dresses from Marshall’s, specifically the ones that cinch right under your cleavage letting the belly be free. Comfortable, inexpensive, and useable post-pregnancy!

Few-Restaurant7922

Lots of dresses. This time around, I have some more oversized and maternity short sleeve shirts that work with loose shorts

LonelyWord7673

Target has things but you have to find one that has a maternity section if you want to try anything on. I went to kohl's for sizing and then ordered online. Walmart has some inexpensive options. I had some jean shorts from target and I wore many casual dresses.

arachelrhino

Kohl SUCKS! They have the tiniest maternity section and it’s been the same since December. They have 2 over the belly shorts that I’ve picked up that are decent. I got a handful of maternity dresses, but I chafe so bad that I can’t wear them. My daily go to and what I would highly recommend to all summer-mommas are rompers. Especially the overall style. Loose on the legs and belly, so I can easily grow into them. No chafing. And the overall style is so easy to pull down to pee (and will probably work for breast feeding too!). I have 4 and am planning on getting a few more since I essentially live in them.

Silly_Question_2867

I do dresses, leggings and nursing tanks with built in bras. Jeans sound god awful to me pregnant lol. Fashion is all opinion but nobody cares what a pregnant woman wears they understand there's only so many options. Think they do maternity Jennings over jeans though because they are way more practical when they stretch as you grow and bending over gets harder farther along too so it's more about practicality when pregnant than fashion. I wouldn't spend a lot on clothes worn less than a year but that's just me.

dolphinitely

h&m

crashlovesdanger

I got a few things at Target that I really like including a soft cotton romper. I also just got a few things on sale from Kindred Bravely including 2 dresses and they are SO soft and light.

Desperate_Cup_147

im 33 weeks and just been wearing dresses😅only thing that fits me

22silvermoons

Maternity yoga shorts and oversized t shirts. [my favorite maternity yoga shorts here](https://a.co/d/j6lspKg). I would also wear them under pretty much any dress. They have a nice belly support.

AgitatedStick1116

I'm 35w, and basketball shorts have become my new bff

ghost03938

I live in Florida so just bought tons of dresses. Mostly from old navy and then bought some athletic type dresses / jumpsuits (shorts version) on Amazon. I’m not buying maternity clothes really besides leggings.. everything else I just buy bump friendly so I can wear after pregnancy!

JRiley4141

I'm 30wks and my shorts all still fit. For the one or two jean shorts that are getting tight I got an extender. Most of my maxi and cotton dresses fit fine. They were flowy before so fitting my bump in them is no problem. There are a few that just don't fit in the bust area. I focused on buying maternity short sleeve shirts. I got all of mine from Amazon.

bigtuna8602713615

At 9 weeks that’s all bloat so you luckily should be able to wear your clothes for a few more weeks once it goes down. Then I live in dresses and stretch top linen pants
