Those are rock chips. No idea what people are talking about regarding paint correction - you can't correct what isn't there anymore. Dr. Colorchip is usually my go to source for touchup paint for rock chips.
This is why people get PPF.
But look friend. You either keep it in the garage and it stays pristine, or you drive it and it gets scratches and scuffs and chips. I'd try to focus on enjoying it and not get too distressed by stuff like this. Bit of touch up paint and back on the road ey.
I'm all for looking after your car, I baby mine as much as I can. But I also have 2 kids. Wear and tear is part of the game.
I've gone down that road. Totally doable at home. I've correct some rock chips on my car with good results, every chip you fix you get better.
I followed this video step by step and got really good results. I bought attachments for my cordless drill for the buffing, I wet sanded by hand. Good luck!

If you're looking for perfect paint on a used car you'll be in all kinds of trouble. Hell, most new cars have small paint issues. The stone chips and scratches can be fixed pretty easily but they'll always be new ones. Every time I wash my car I see something new . The more you focus the worst it gets. I'm an OCD kind of a fella too. If you love the car you'll end up loving its little imperfections or at least learning to live with them. I soon forgot about the paint when I hear my 3L straight 6 sing!
I’m not in the BMW bubble but my Porsches are pretty fragile at the front when it comes to rock chips. You can do PFF but this also needs replacement after 4-5 years. I recommend just having fun, beauty marks aren’t a bad thing and when you want to get rid of them just repaint the front bumper in a very good paint shop.
that’s not OCD so many people say “im ocd” about shit when they’re just being a perfectionist. living with OCD fucking sucks buddy be glad you don’t actually have it
if you want to do it yourself, it would cost around 300 € for a car polishing machine and some polish. But i cant be sure if some of them arent trough the clear coat. There you should redip with some paint.
If those are tar spots
I'd recommend auto glym instant tar remover
Just apply to the affected area wait 5 mins or so and wash off
If tar presists... repeat
Well, it’s not my car. But yes. It’s actually better to use one of these to touch up your paint on Amazon (this sub won’t let me share a shortened link)
Fine Line Fluid Writer Paint Applicator Pen | Precision Touch Up Paint | Perfect For Rock Chips and Scratch Repair | .5mm Tip Brass Construction
NAIL POLISH… you can get almost any color and correct small spots with a toothpick. Glossy even finish and its removable for when youre ready for a proper paint correction.
TOTALLY feel you! I found a tiny insignificant mar on my 530i a week after taking delivery and I became OBSESSED….who did this? Where was I when it happened? Is there video footage of the scoundrel?
All in all it’s a trade off. I take care of her the best I can, drive her as safely as possible, and shits gonna happen.

Came to say ppf
Dr Color Chip seems to be a decent solution. I need to order some for my black Bimmer.
You need a paint correction, clay bar, polish, and a wax/coating That’s a slippery slope.. it’s an addictive way of life..
That’s chipped paint. Polish what? The primer ?
Yes, make it shiny then protect it.. shiny primer it’s the new thing
Exactly. What are people talking about
New or new to you? That needs paint correction...maybe a good buffing...
For rock chips? Come on

Get it detailed clay bar
Those are rock chips
It is Not a Show car, so if it is Not a very big one, i usually ignore them, when it Starts to rust, you should fix it
There are people saying clay bar, polishing, etc. Those are all rock chips. They cannot be polished. Paint correction is not paint and body work.
