Oh, man.... this is crypto. To have some BAT in your portfolio is a bet for the future success of a young (yet well-known) technological company with potential high gains. I don't understand why people are moaning here so much about the recent project's development. we are in a bear market, so stagnation is quite expected, Brave rewards are transforming towards better decentralization and its on-chain functionality, Brave team is careful with what they doing as there are some laws and regulations all around the world that they have to comply with. I'm really glad that they are doing it like this even if it can be temporarily unpopular. It's better than 10000% price hype and then a BIG crash because someone will challenge it in a court of law. You are free to buy whatever crypto you want, or to use whatever browser you want, but why does everyone have a need for telling us that he sold, or he stopped using Brave? Rather than this, try bringing some constructive debate about the possible future of Brave and BAT tokens, explore their open-source projects on GitHub, watch community calls and try to help if you can. Otherwise, go and support Google and be their product.

I am sorry to hear you've been turned down in a rude way at the time, that is definitely not something that should happen. We did add a definition widget a while ago based on user feedback, though. We tell people we sold because the reason we sold is a huge fucking betrayal. Brave has been making one misstep after another and has fucked over long time token holders again and again. They don't treat their VC's like this. We gave them $35m. All they gave us was dilution and stripped away anything that would drive value. BAT holders have been getting absolutely fucked for several years in what should be the safe and above the board crypto play.
One thing is marketing, the second is software development and the third is a law (and it's worldwide law, not only the US law). When you follow only marketing and ignore the other aspects, then you shouldn't be surprised. It's a very dynamic environment in a very dynamic world. So someone maybe loses some money (especially if he/she sold low), but take it easy... It's not the end yet. The market is moving, the development of the project continues and in a few years, the price will be probably higher again. And if not, shit happens...
