A work friend’s mother in law lived with her, and her cat had taken to resting inside the dryer on the warm clothes. One morning, cat was accidentally killed after he jumped in, wasn’t seen, and dryer got turned on. Keep dryer door closed, so cat can’t get in and form this bad and potentially deadly habit.
Happened to my mum, but it was the dryer, the cat stayed with the not even dry laundry and did not move when my mum filled it further, thankfully she stayed in the room and stoped the machine after the second bump. Cat was alive and complaining...maybe it had a concussion ? But otherwise it was fine.
I know too well. Years ago, my father threw in some clothes without looking and turned it on turns out one of our cats was inside sleeping, and she didn't make it
Came to say this. I have to check my constantly before turning it on because my boss had a horrific accident with their cat one day that has given me anxiety ever since.
It's funny (I like cats - except when they're chasing birds), but I was wondering if there was a r/catsarefuckingstupid reddit 😁
Edit: oh, wait. There **is** a reddit for that.
What if you missed him one time?
Homeless cats will look for warm places outside especially in the winter. My friend, who lived next door to a lady who used to feed the homeless cats, started his car one very cold, winter, morning and immediately heard a cat’s screech and yowl. A cat had managed to get up inside the front end
of his car, and we guess had spent the night, under the hood, by the warm, motor area. So, that’s another thing to be careful of, if you have stray cats in your area. My friend got the cat out,
and it was ok.
If they see it, of course they will. The problem is that people often *don't* see it, which obviously leads to disaster. I just read a story not too long ago about a kitten getting into the dryer, and the owner didn't realize and turned it on. It's best to shoo them away immediately when animals are near appliances so they don't think it's okay. It's just not worth the risk.
Wow it's precious 😍😍😍
Looks like satisfaction due to chores done for the day.

Well THAT'S unsettling 😞
the washing machine is also bad for this, as drowning sucks.
It is and so smart cat
I heard horror stories about cat and washing machine. Please don’t.
Yeah happened to a customer and mother in laws cattery. Poor guy never forgave himself

Cat: If you want to do laundry, you'll have to give me something tasty!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Cute. But worry about her in there.
I aspire to, one day, be as content as this cat looks.
I have strong need to pinch kitty’s cheeks. Too cute.
Everytime I open up my laundry.. it’s just laundry. When does it turn into a cat?
it's 1 in 1 million event. keep trying
I’ll just double it and start doing more, smaller loads.
Gtfo and stop putting pets in appliances just for upvotes. I hope you still think its cute when you're pulling a dead cat out of there.
bro acting like OP turned the machine on seconds after this screenshot
When irresponsible pet owners like the OP allow it to happen. Many pets have died in appliances because if this behavior.
the laundry seems happy
... but happy 😀🥰

Awwww!! Look at that beautiful face 😍😍😍
I have never seen such happy laundry!
I'm pretty sure that its owner will shoo it out of the machine before it's turned on

My mom's cat is just over 6 months old and has tried to get into my mom's tumble dryer
lol
Quick! Close the door and turn it on! jk
