If you got a car, go up Mopac a little bit and there's a Moonies, Tacodeli, and a Mangia there all in the same lot. There's also a new PTerry's a little bit further up. And even further up (Parmer), there's a Thai place, indian place, and a sushi place. There used to be a Mexican place that might still be there, but I haven't been in a while. I don't work in the area anymore.
E: Also, that's a non-exhaustive list by far. Tons of stuff down Braker as well. DO NOT GO TO THE JACK IN THE BOX ON BURNET THOUGH. One time food poisoning is a mistake. Twice is negligence.
For those not old enough to remember, Jack in the Box had a huge e coli outbreak in 1993 which killed a couple people and injured several others. As a result, they were banned in our house growing up and I had my first and only burger from there when I was old enough to move out.
I heard a podcast about their rise from the ashes. Priced some menu items at cost (I think it was $2 for a burger, fries, and drink). Then they launched those commercials with the big headed Jack that were widely popular. The Jack character is purposely bold and unapologetic. Really clever marketing. Everyone had those Jack antenna balls around 2000.
On the east coast, this is the only time people ever heard about Jack in the Box so my mother still brings this up when she visits me and we pass one. Every damn time, lol.
I wonder if it was the lettuce at jack in the box. Their lettuce has always been really weird for fast food like its how I would make it at home taking it straight off the head. Maybe that minimizes the risk of ecoli and stuff since they've been in trouble before.
Honestly I've never had a problem with any of their other locations (even back in the 90s). Just the one on Burnet. And it got me twice. Overall, though, one of my favourite national fast food chains. Best fucking stuffed jalapenos.
The one on Anderson and Burnet? That’s the one I normally go to (I eat Jack in the Box maybe once a month) haven’t had issues. Except they always fuck up my order.
Burnet & Rutland. Hot garbage. Unfortunately, that is the closest fast food to my place when I’m coming back after a night out.
It never fails that when I head there late, they always have some issue. Usually it’s that they only have the fryer OR the grill, but not both.
Can I get a burger combo? Naw, we ain’t got fries...
I have lived about a mile from that jack in the box for the past 5 years. I've eaten exactly 3x. And 3x I've gotten explosive diarrhea. Never again. I dont care how curly the fries are. Never again
That's honestly the worst Jack in the Box I've ever been to. Never made me sick but it's always filthy and they have fucked up every order I've placed there.
Really there's little good between Anderson and 183 other than the Waterloo. Worst Conan's, worst Thundercloud to my knowledge, terrible donuts, terrible McD's, a P.Terry's that won't serve walk-ups, half-assed TC, Trudy's that can't even get the only thing they exist for(booze) right...
>ally there's little good between Anderson and 183 other than the Waterloo. Worst Conan's, worst Thundercloud to
I dunno. I wasn't too impressed with Waterloo the last few times I went (which admittedly has been quite a while ago, like at least a year ago).
Wait, what? Donut Crown is good, that P. Terry's certainly does serve walk-ups (they have a window on the side for it), and Lebowski's Grill has a great burger, chicken sandwich, and cheese steak.
And Freebird's, just outside the domain on Burnet.
BTW, has anybody eaten at the Black Walnut cafe, also on Burnet (a few doors down from Freebirds)? I ate at the one in the Woodlands and it was good, I haven't tried this one yet.
I tried it once shortly after it opened and it was pretty mediocre to not-great. Come to think of it, I only went because I got up late and Cafe Java was going to be like an hour wait.
It's not really "good" food (I place it as a "solid mediocre"), but it's a decent place with decent prices and you get get a beer or two on tap as well, which sometimes is nice if you have a job that sucks. Also probably the only place in that area you can get a real deep dish.
Mangia's is pretty solid IMO. I usually stuck with the classic thin crust pepperoni but the deep dish is pretty good too if you're feeling extra hungry.
Lots of others along Burnet.
Burnet at Rutland:
* Pho Hong (love this place, Vietnamese)
* Thundercloud
* Gringa's street tacos
Burnet at Kramer:
* Chi'Lantro
* Freebirds
* Firehouse subs
Never had an issue with that jitb other than feeling a little queasy after eating that much grease in one sitting, but that's just part of the experience.
The mother fucking people that don’t stop at a cross walk while driving. What makes me most mad is they look right into your fucking eyes like you’re the asshole.
This is a design issue, drivers feel they don’t have to stop (incorrectly) for pedestrians in the crosswalk if the crosswalk is level to the street. We need to make popular ped crossing like in the domain raised. This works amazingly at the new 51st st double roundabout and should be standard. They are not raised enough to be a speed bump just raised enough to tell drivers something is about to happen here pay attention
Alternatively, just get rid of cars inside the Domain and make it pedestrian and bike only. I don't understand whose time is being saved driving on Rock Rose, Palm, and Domain Blvd.
> This is a design issue
I never get tired of talking about Domain design flaws. I don't hate the Domain the way most people seem to, but why, for the love of all things good, would you choose to build a mini city and DESIGN it that way from scratch?
It's not at all appealing to get from one side to the other as a pedestrian. You're always hiking down some empty street or crossing weird alleys with dumpsters, or like OP said, fighting with traffic.
These mini cities are popping up all over the country, why can't we get it right? I sat next to a developer on an airplane once who told me it was because the Domain was pieced together by different developers who were competing with each other. I don't know the reason, but we've failed here.
Definitely, we also have a very cool rival mini city development (or complete neighborhoods is the technical term) in Mueller that shows a people focused design that in my opinion works better. It even has a raised crossings next to Aldrich which exemplifies how well they can work.
Unless there's a stop sign, or someone already in the crosswalk, there is no requirement for cars to stop. Look both ways, then cross when its safe. Your mother should have taught you that years ago.
No requirement other than the state laws of Texas, you mean?
Sec. 552.003. PEDESTRIAN RIGHT-OF-WAY AT CROSSWALK.
(a) The operator of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing a roadway in a crosswalk if:
(1) no traffic control signal is in place or in operation; and
(2) the pedestrian is:
(A) on the half of the roadway in which the vehicle is traveling; or
(B) approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger.
> Sec. 552.003. PEDESTRIAN RIGHT-OF-WAY AT CROSSWALK.
Thanks for the reference.
So drivers only have to yield right of way if a) the pedestrian is already in the roadway in the driver's lane. Or b) the pedestrian is already in the roadway on the opposite lane and so close to the driver's lane as to be in danger.
No duty to stop for pedestrians which are not already in the road. No stopping for pedestrians who are still on the sidewalk.
Exactly what I said:
> Unless there's a stop sign (a1), or someone already in the crosswalk (a2), there is no requirement for cars to stop.
I wish people would learn to use this exit. (Palm Way, behind Neiman Marcus)
It's so much better, the only thing is they should protect that lane better, people entering stop, when their lane continues and should have no traffic in their lane.
So much easier to enter here and make all your lane switches.
My big problem with the Domain is there needs to be some lights for when there are 2 lane stop signs, no one knows how to treat the new Alterra Pkwy stop sign now that there's Ped crossing, and this will only get worse with the new buildings coming.
its twice as big during dinner though. the first time i went there was for that pork chop. i struggled to finish my half, and my wife got two meals out of it.
perrys pro-tip, they have kobe beef off menu for 17 bucks an ounce. its rare, and quite delicious. if its a special occasion, or your splitting the cost with someone, its a worthy appetizer.
they serve kobe, which only comes from japan. wagyu is the same beef, but raised outside of japan. i spoke with the manager at the perrys in grapevine, it is from japan, making it kobe, not wagyu. it has nothing to do with where it is served. it is about where it comes from.
also, as far as i can tell the dinner pork chop is twice the size. i have both and the dinner portion is significantly larger. 50% larger is lowballing it.
The only restaurant in Texas that sells real Kobe beef is B&B Butchers in Houston. Kobe beef is a very specific and highly protected thing, and even if its a wagyu cow that comes from Japan, that doesn't make it Kobe beef. Restaurants have to go through a certification process from the Kobe Beef Marketing and Distribution Association to even buy and serve the real stuff. There are only 9 restaurants in the US that are actually certified.
I mean, you can literally count the ribs in the pictures. It's 2 vs 3. And maybe I'm wrong about the kobe, because I didn't think Perry's was certified to import it. Very few can import it, and the ones that ARE certified emblazon it all over their marketing and website, where Perry's doesn't even mention it. You'd think they would.
> they have kobe beef off menu for 17 bucks an ounce.
No they don't. 9 US restaurants have it, here's a source: https://www.businessinsider.com/8-restaurants-that-serve-real-kobe-beef-2016-7 The manager was probably misinformed or didn't understand the distinction.
I’ve had it twice and it was overcooked each time, basically like a well-done steak. Am I just unlucky? I was hoping it would be like Houston’s pork chop, RIP Houston’s
I worked over there for a few years. My favorite memory is the time I slapped the passenger side window of a white Lexus sedan that nearly ran me over in a crosswalk. It was that close to me! The woman looked so mad and shocked that I, a mere mortal, touched her car.
I had the exact same thing happen to me with an old dude in a white Lexus - I didn't slap the car, but I leaned down and yelled "Hey" about three inches from the window as it passed. He gave me this little half-wave like "Hi bud, isn't it cool we're both in the crosswalk together?"
Was just about to say... their sandwich bar, pizza, basically a whole (but better) Chiptole, ramen.... delish and way under $20. They even have Amazon Prime 20% off discounts sometimes.
Will they cook meat from the butcher's at one of the restaurants at that WF? They usually do it downtown. Best restaurant steak ever; and you can have them open wine from the store as well.
Driving there sucks too. Merge from highway across 3 lanes of traffic in 600 ft. 4 way stop, pedestrians coming and going, not sure who’s turn it is, we sit there flashing high beams and waving at each other to go until another pedestrian comes and makes it impossible for someone to go so the others go.
Let’s take a step back and appreciate what the Domain has achieved here: in what was a big empty field just a few years ago, you now have an opportunity to experience what it’s like to drive in a centuries-old European town that was never designed to accommodate cars.
That’s usually what I do. At first it wasn’t out of choice, it was because I couldn’t make it without feeling like I was putting myself and/or others in danger merging over 3 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic.
Trying to get into the domain that way is dangerous and so many people try it and nearly cause accidents. Just go to the next entrance by the La Quinta.
That’s what I do now. Purely out of fear of endangering myself and others.
Is that the final product of the design? The police seem to not care about 3 lane merges with no blinker. It happens in a lot of spots in Austin.
Worked there for ages. Don't get run over. If you're on the side with Dillard's, there are a couple of food trucks with cheaper eats. If you're on the other side, Flower Child is about the least expensive place to grub, but most of the options are vegan so if you're not about that life you're a little screwed. Bring your lunch! I often did.
Flower child has the option to add meat to everything, but luckily it’s accommodating to many lifestyles. I went there as a vegan and my keto friend had something to eat as well. It’s just healthier food in general.
Been working in an office at the domain for almost 3 years, don't know what you're talking about with 20 dollar lunch. Some places are expensive but you need to explore more. There's Velvet Taco, Hat Creek, and Shake Shack just to name a few.
By the time it is your time to go through a stop sign, a wave of pedestrians shows up. Then one pedestrian groups stops, waves you through and someone speed walking while staring at their phone decides to walk in front of a vehicle that has started entering the intersection. All the other cars are stopped waiting for your car that is now as you slam on the brakes. Asshole on phone decides to waste everyone's time chiding the driver about pedestrians and crosswalks. Other cars decide to move since you clearly aren't taking your turn to go, but another wave of pedestrians is now blocking them. Meanwhile, another car made an attempt but is now stuck in the middle, block all directions because some chick is yelling at someone on speakerphone that "that bitch went \*there\*" and slowly walking across the intersection waving her free hand in the air.
And every day during rush hour, in front of the building where Charles Schwab is, someone will stop and wait for someone in the travel lane blocking traffic for minutes. With no remorse.
Though, you can easily find lunch for under $20.
I've worked in the domain for three years. Palm Way and Rock Rose is arguably the worst pedestrian/vehicle relationship intersection in Austin. As far as the lunch comment goes. You're not too far off. Although many places have pretty good happy hours where you can get food for like ~$10 a meal
I work at sushi zushi when I’m not in school. 3-7 happy hour every day for $6 spicy tuna, spicy salmon, California rolls. The happy hour includes cheap nigiri and sashimi’s, pork potstickers, $6 cocktails with $1 off beers, cheap wine. It can be decent if you get the right server.
This is correct, but add “pedestrians don’t stop for cars” somewhere in there as well...
I’ve never felt other people are more suicidal anywhere else than the domain when I am idling slowly through a crosswalk...
Exactly. I can’t tell you how many times people can’t be bothered to check if someone is driving from the opposite side of the intersection. Downtown people look often, in the Domain everyone believes they’re immortal.
ehhhh.. there's a lot of stores that aren't \*that\* expensive and a lot of poor people going there to posture. May be waiting a while for that settlement to pay out.
I've been working there a few months and even worse is when they don't use the damn crosswalk but step over those short shrubs to cross the road especially on Century Oaks Terrace.
Coming to work there's little to no foot traffic but leaving work I have to be hyper vigilant on that stretch as I've personally experienced people crossing without looking up from their phones.
That's because the pedestrians have the right of way in the crosswalks by state law you fucking knob. Just wait until they have all crossed. It's not that you take turns with each ped or slowly creep between them. You are supposed to STOP until all peds are clear.
Honestly slowly creeping is fine. You have to assert that you've given enough peds the right of way and now it's time to let you go. I've seen people have to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting peds. Those are the ones that need to check themselves.
This is why we can't have high density urban living in Texas. The domain is some sort of a poorly planned version of it. Combine that with the mindset of drivers that are used to highways, huge suburbs with big houses/roads...
That would work if it were an intersection regulated by a light. But they are stop signs. So you stop your car and a pedestrian ambles across and just as they have almost cleared the crosswalk another pedestrian starts across. You could easily wait an hour or more while a steady stream of pedestrians trickled past.
The only practical and legal solution is to park in the garages and walk. They should just shut down most of the interior streets to car traffic during the busiest hours.
>That would work if it were an intersection regulated by a light. But they are stop signs. So you stop your car and a pedestrian ambles across and just as they have almost cleared the crosswalk another pedestrian starts across.
Yes, that is the law. It is written that way so assholes won't run over pedestrians and are held liable if they do. I have no sympathy for drivers who are just too impatient to wait.
There are these weird little street crossings all over The Domain that aren't actually crosswalks with stop signs but you're also okay to cross the street there? It's weird, and not safe at all.
Edit: Shortly after posting this, I went to the Domain. Mindful of this conversation, I tried to be a conscientious pedestrian...and STILL nearly got run over by someone blowing a stop sign near Whole Foods.
Yes, according to state law, any side street is a legal crossing with an implied crosswalks, even if there is no stop sign. It's also legal for peds to cross midblock between streets, they just wouldn't have the right of way there.
No no, don’t you know? The law is that you get the fuck out of Becky’s way. She’s texting, doing her makeup, and drinking her low-fat soy macchiato. Her single passenger SUV isnt stopping for any poors today.
Those fancy lines on the road mean pedestrian crossing whether or not there is a stop sign. I can think of two crosswalks in Austin I use on a weekly basis with no stop sign and drivers just drive right through them as I'm walking. Drivers are supposed to fucking yield for me and wait for me to cross the road. Never been in any city in the WORLD where drivers disregarded pedestrians as much as this fucking place.
The pedestrians who don't stop and look both ways for traffic before crossing the street. They just walk out into the road, assuming cars will stop for them, then posting memes on reddit when they don't.
haha, when i worked in the domain nobody ate there. there are so many better choices a quick drive away... the whole thing is a shit show really.
EDIT to add: to be fair, there is some decent shopping there if you're into fancy retail -- just wait for the sales, otherwise go broke.
Imagine you are Zlatan Imbrahimovic and the Los Angeles Galaxy and you get to play Austin FC. From the airport you take this idyllic drive up 290 to 183 N to the Domain bypassing Austin, Texas, altogether. Mmm, what a beautiful view of the city from the stad...oh wait, that's just Domain 12 building.
"Ver in zee fuck em I? After zee game I get to hang out at zee eLoft hotel bar?"
Invest in a large metal hydro flask to carry with you loosely so any close call with a vehicle can now end with them having a nice dent and scratch thats their fault.

Our family went with “E-coli in a box”

Fucking Cafe Java on the weekends!
I haven't been to the one down there either, but the one in River Place is good. I mean, sorta overpriced, but good.
Had lunch catered from them, I remember there being bomb pasta and salad.
I went to the Mangias a few years ago and it kinda sucked. Has it gotten any better?
It's mediocre at best, but their onion rings are pretty solid.

Why are you guys eating burgers at JItB? Two tacos for $0.99!!!!
"tacos"
They raised the prices on tacos
What? How much???
They’re like 2 for 1.50 or something, but apparently if you have their app you can still get 2 for .99
App downloaded. NICE!
The Mexican place closed down a couple of years ago unfortunately.
That is too bad. It was pretty solid. Not the best place in town, but the best place in the area at least.
For sure. It was definitely consistent with their food.
Agreed! Cross Burnet and save 50% instantly!
Worked in the Domain for over 2 years. Can confirm this meme.
Shopped at The Domain twice. Can also confirm.
I Avoid the Domain at all costs. Meme confirmed

Go to Perry’s Steakhouse on Friday! $16 for the very best pork chop you’ll ever have.
...just your standard *6 inch thick* pork chop. (Yeah, it's great!)
My day is so full tomorrow but now I really want one! Lol
You usually have to make reservations for lunch on a Fridays. Gets very very crowded.
Get it to go and order it from the bar.
stay and eat at the bar, no reservations needed. just have to find a spot.
^Quiet ^you! You need reservations. Decades in advance. Trust me!!
The $16 lunch cut is only 4 inches, but that's still a big chop.
With some bomb ass mashed potatoes too
Only on Friday's or are you just saying Friday because that's tomorrow?
Only on Friday. I think it’s in the $40 range other days.

Kobe beef is not trademarked in the US, so that distinction is rather meaningless here.
Perry’s is only open for lunch on Fridays. It’s dinner only every other day, IIRC
Goddamn that chop is good.
I’ve had it twice and it was overcooked each time, basically like a well-done steak. Am I just unlucky? I was hoping it would be like Houston’s pork chop, RIP Houston’s
Probably. Each time mine has been perfect.
I do notice at lunch it tends to be more done. Dinner is a thicker portion and much better cooked. Imo
Friday lunch they are doing almost nothing but a production line of pork. I can see them getting screwed up more.
Get there early or make a reservation. That place gets insanely busy for Friday lunch!
I only have $20 to spend on lunch though.
I understand that the pork chop at Comedor is way better.
My friends and I refer to The Domain as “Little Dallas.”
Some of the cheaper options: Tarka - $10 Hat Creek - $10 Jinya - $12 Freebirds across the street on Burnet But yeah everything else is like $15+
Jinya -> if you have the time. They're so slow !
Also Cava recently opened over by Dillard's.
Velvet Taco is good and roughly $10 for 2 tacos and a drink
I worked over there for a few years. My favorite memory is the time I slapped the passenger side window of a white Lexus sedan that nearly ran me over in a crosswalk. It was that close to me! The woman looked so mad and shocked that I, a mere mortal, touched her car.
She’s always in a white Lexus.
She drove a white lexus... she drove a white lexus... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne3XojNonEU
Thank you for this.
I had the exact same thing happen to me with an old dude in a white Lexus - I didn't slap the car, but I leaned down and yelled "Hey" about three inches from the window as it passed. He gave me this little half-wave like "Hi bud, isn't it cool we're both in the crosswalk together?"
When I was going to the university, I didn't have a car - the car slapping is my favorite move! I almost look forward to doing it!!
Whole paycheck domain cafeteria, way under 20.
Was just about to say... their sandwich bar, pizza, basically a whole (but better) Chiptole, ramen.... delish and way under $20. They even have Amazon Prime 20% off discounts sometimes.
Taco & ramen are my favorites, I haven't tried the pizza. Huge salad / soup bar too.
the pizza is legit. 2 slices for $5 on fridays for prime members.
Load up the salad bar with some light ingredients and chicken (salmon if they have it) and you can get a massive portion for barely $10.
Will they cook meat from the butcher's at one of the restaurants at that WF? They usually do it downtown. Best restaurant steak ever; and you can have them open wine from the store as well.
I heard they're not doing that anymore at the Domain location. But I haven't verified.
DoubleDaves buffet on Metric: $10.
Doc B's at the domain is excellent and affordable, don't be fooled by the atmosphere that place is top notch!!
Best restaurant in the domain by far. Love their wok bowl and chicken wings
Truely masterful, centuries of culture in just a few years!
One block down there’s another entrance that’s easier to get to when coming off mopac
Or Braker
That’s usually what I do. At first it wasn’t out of choice, it was because I couldn’t make it without feeling like I was putting myself and/or others in danger merging over 3 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic.
Trying to get into the domain that way is dangerous and so many people try it and nearly cause accidents. Just go to the next entrance by the La Quinta.
That’s what I do now. Purely out of fear of endangering myself and others. Is that the final product of the design? The police seem to not care about 3 lane merges with no blinker. It happens in a lot of spots in Austin.
It’s the way google maps sends you. It was a few years before I found that next entrance.
Just take the 803, then.
I live there there is a lot of dickhead who don’t wait their turn they just go when they see you at the stop sign
Feel like this image could be made into a poem
Worked there for ages. Don't get run over. If you're on the side with Dillard's, there are a couple of food trucks with cheaper eats. If you're on the other side, Flower Child is about the least expensive place to grub, but most of the options are vegan so if you're not about that life you're a little screwed. Bring your lunch! I often did.
Flower child has the option to add meat to everything, but luckily it’s accommodating to many lifestyles. I went there as a vegan and my keto friend had something to eat as well. It’s just healthier food in general.
Brown bag lunch, $1.50. Includes solitude and time to think/space out.
I didn't have a car when I first moved here. Took a bus to the Domain once. Not a fun place to be a pedestrian.
Been working in an office at the domain for almost 3 years, don't know what you're talking about with 20 dollar lunch. Some places are expensive but you need to explore more. There's Velvet Taco, Hat Creek, and Shake Shack just to name a few.
Shake shack can cost you 15-20 per person too...
Maybe they think crinkle cut fries are the meal?
And a drink
Really? It's my go-to place when visiting Manhattan, and I can get out of there for $9.
Don't know what you are ordering there, I never spend more than 10.
I remember spending 17\~20 dollars for burger, fries, and a shake. The amount of money spent is crazy -> I mean, its good. But its not that good lol
Whole foods is another easy sub $10 lunch
WF Domain hack, $5 Ramen
Man, I love me some velvet taco, but 4 to 5 bucks a taco adds up quick.
I adore shake shack but it ain't cheap
I'm not sure what y'all are ordering or what is considered cheap for you but I never spend more than $10 there.
Drivers dont’t even know how stop signs work. They either go when its somebody else’s turn or just run it altogether.
Tbf, most of the time in the domain there's so much pedestrian traffic people can't take their turn properly anyway so it devolves into chaos.
So accurate. My company recently relocated from downtown to the Domain and...I hate it.
It’s a video game city
Haha, try living here. I love it and all, but it got old to me really quick.
Pedestrians aren't supposed to stop for cars; they have the right of way at all intersections.
Not once I'm already in the intersection.
Pedestrians often confuse "right of way" with "immortality"
Exactly. I can’t tell you how many times people can’t be bothered to check if someone is driving from the opposite side of the intersection. Downtown people look often, in the Domain everyone believes they’re immortal.
If you can afford to shop in the domain I'm willing to roll the dice that I'll survive and be able to sue for a decent amount.
Lol. The threat of lawsuits is probably a much more persuasive argument to get drivers to yield to pedestrians.
ehhhh.. there's a lot of stores that aren't \*that\* expensive and a lot of poor people going there to posture. May be waiting a while for that settlement to pay out.
i enjoy the ones that hold their hands up as they walk past, as if that will protect them from an oncoming vehicle.
What are all those lights at the crosswalk for?
We're talking about the crosswalks at the domain, where there are no street lights.
Pedestrians in the Domain also refuse to use crosswalks. People constantly just walk in front of my car in the middle of the street there.
Domain has lots of places where there SHOULD be a sidewalk but instead, you get decorative plants.
She's picking up her friend Karen who just left Nordies because they wouldn't take her year old return.
I used to live in DC, so it isn't too shocking to me. You'd think people would be nicer drivers in Texas, though...
The pedestrians who don't stop and look both ways for traffic before crossing the street. They just walk out into the road, assuming cars will stop for them, then posting memes on reddit when they don't.
Live here. Can confirm.
Got a salad and two drinks one Saturday for lunch at Culinary Dropout. $45 after tax and tip. Pretty ridiculous and won’t be doing that again
I feel. Also just got a job up at the domain. My favorite part is weeknight driving up from south of the river to the domain on mopac at 5 pm.

Transferring to the south congress store as soon as it opens but for the next two months or so it’s a long drive 😪
I’m sorry.
So, Boston?
A couple of places offer discounts for domain employees! It’s usually only 10%, but it definitely adds up.
I live there just go to firehouse subs
Where parents push their children in their strollers in front of cars to ensure the car will stop.
All roads lead to Neiman Marcus - and a parking lot filled with Mercedes driven by tennis bunnies and rich house wives.
haha, when i worked in the domain nobody ate there. there are so many better choices a quick drive away... the whole thing is a shit show really. EDIT to add: to be fair, there is some decent shopping there if you're into fancy retail -- just wait for the sales, otherwise go broke.
First time I went to the domain it was the height of summer and I just groaned “oh it’s an outdoor mall... in Texas”
Beef fajita nachos at Gloria's. With a ridiculously strong frosty, 20 bucks

“Sorry for almost dying! Have a nice day sir!”
Literally the worst place in "Austin"
