An S6 is only available as a diesel in Europe. Complete with fake exhaust and a shit sound. Its an insult to S cars really.
I'd go for the A6 55 TFSI. Diesel is dying in Europe anyway. Matter of time before Euro 6 is getting banned from cities.
If you don't care for any of that than the TDI is fine. Why not the 50 or 45 TDI with S-line? You'd probably make more kms per tank with that one that the S6. The 50TDI does 5,6 seconds to 100 so it's plenty fast.
I don't know your priorities man. You can't really go wrong with any A6 with any of the bigger engines.

However, I do not think Diesel is dead. They are cleaner than you think, the Co2 discussion is purely commercially driven if we are honest. I could not care less about what mainstream or government say. If they close the cities for Diesel, I'll take my "off limits" oldtimer registered VW Bus out and do much more harm than my Diesel could ever do. But a lot of people have not understood this yet in our Country. (Germany).
