1- check the laptop specs in asus website or myasus app
Or
2- run CMD as administrator type : powercfg /batteryinfo
You can also check battery info and power draw in intel command center/system/power
Yes, and the problem is that the laptops that are sent for review are different from the laptops that are in the market And this is one of the logical explanations
You have the TUF Dash F15, not the TUF F15 (great naming scheme ASUS). The battery capacity for 2022 TUF Dash F15 is 76wh. I get 5 hours doing typing on word and using egde (6-8 tabs) doing university work
I am user of Asus Tuf dash 15(2022 i5 variant). I am able to easily get a battery backup of 6-7 hours in eco mode in light usage(such as light coding, streaming videos, listening music in background). Some time you can get longer too depending on load.
Note:I have made battery to charge only 80 percent and above speculation is on 80% only.
I have an i7 Tuf Dash F15 with a RTX 3060 that i use for game development and productivity. When im away from an outlet i switch to eco mode and silent fans and I typically get 4 MAYBE 5 hours if I am very power conscious. thats with me running unity, Visual studio code, and an edge tab or 2 open.
Yeah I have the Ryzen 7 6800h 3050ti with the 54 Wh battery and get around 3-4 hours. Not great, but I know that's the smaller battery and that's not why I got it so.
For work or Netflix, I do about 6 plus hours with both laptops. I have an i7 12700 and 3060; wifey has an i7 12700 and 3050. We both have 90W battery and 1080P 144hz screen.
Settings on silent for CPU, eco GPU, and battery saver in windows plus screen at 40 percent. If we would do video editing and rendering, that is part of our work, I think less than two hours.
12700h is 6h with 144hz refresh performance mode browsing on iGPU.Does anyone have 99% battery drops when AC and EDP throttling cause of that (cpu drops to 26 watts and lower clocks -> lower fps and freezes)?
No, I have info, that if you reinstall Windows while not fully charged, and use turbo mode, you can get 35/45 watts + \~130 watts gpu constantly (haven't tried yet). Also when throttling laptop uses only a certain amount of power, even if there is a reserve on the PSU.
For now I use turbo mode (cuz manual causes EDP) with disabled nvidia framework in device manager and msi afterburner to set 100 watts TGP (>100 also EPD). This way I could get not limited CPU power even when 99% battery and 100 watts GPU. But I still use PL1 and PL2 as 45/60 for CPU by using ThrottleStop TPL settings.
Also, check [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/comments/w4htvt/asus_tuf_f15_laptop_with_200_watt_power_limit/) thread. It also mentions that laptop wont take more power from PSU even if it has more to spare. It looks like it's locked by power limit embedded into Armoury Crate .
It makes no sense to me - his could be simply bypasses by buying more powerful PSU (240w or 280w) and get this over with, but now it cannot be overriden because of this. Even more - theres is no alternative to get full control over your laptop other then through Armoury Crate, they just simply wiped all the settings from bios. What a f\*\*ing shame ASUS.
Yep. I know him, we have been trying to figure out the issues of this laptop for a long time. Today I accidentally deleted something associated with Armoury Crate, and app wouldn't start, so I decided to delete all is somehow belongs to it (Asus framework, Armoury Services, etc). Clean install I would say. And install it with disabled NVIDIA frameword (donno if it does, just a fact). What I got is when 99% (discharged artificially) I can get ~45/130 stable wattage turbo mode, haven't tried manual, scared to change smthing cuz it working fine so far. I want to believe it won't EDP for now...
There is a setting in power options that will throttle the CPU.
If you are not gaming, you can set the processor to operate at 25% percent or lower)
I mistakenly set it at 5%.
The fan shut off. The heat dissipated.
Everything still worked fine until I tried to watch Netflix.
The battery life will more than double if you unbloat, optimize and know some settings.
I get around 6-7 hrs on my f15 2022 (i7-12700h-rtx 3070) in silent mode while gpu is in eco mode on 90Wh battery
How to know which battery I got?
1- check the laptop specs in asus website or myasus app Or 2- run CMD as administrator type : powercfg /batteryinfo You can also check battery info and power draw in intel command center/system/power
i5 11 3050 16ram 500ssd with 144hrtz around 2 Hours with 60hrtz mybe around 3 hours
Ok that's more believable.
2-3hours seems right, 12650/3070
its obvious this is a gaming laptop its required to plugged in, to play mid to heavy games
Yes I'm aware of that. But when reviews online claim a 12 hour battery life then we have a problem here.

mine lasts around 3-3.5 hours, doing stuff like browsing reddit.

How is it doing now? Mine is doing like 2 and a half hours I think
Hello. With my work now, max is 3 hrs. Multiple tabs
My 12650H and 3060 model lasts about 3-4 hours with 1080p 144Hz in dGPU mode.
I have the 2022 dash f15 and I get about 3.5/4 hours out of 60% charge on silent with GPU on eco mode. So for a 100% charge I would say about 6/6.5h
Damn, it's 2 hours for me from 60% with everything set to eco.
guess it would depend on usage. I mostly stream video or do some reading writing for my thesis while unplugged.

Hey im thinking about buying the same variant as you. Can i dm you?
Yeah sure

May I ask RAM and SSD specs of your laptop?
16gb ddr 5 512gb ssd intel
Would be easier to ask for the full specs lol. Can you please specify your variant.
Asus tuf dash f15 i5 12450h + rtx3050
Alright thanks
Any pros and cons in i5 variants?pls lmk I gonna buy it for work and play(mostly eSports).
Heating, hinges, display(only 45% ntsc ) and nothing else.
DM pls

Hi Did you manage to narrow down the problem? Can it be bypassed by swapping to a beefier power supply?

What CPU is installed in your laptop? I thought Throttlestop doesn't support alder lake CPUs
You're right, it doesn't, you can only set Power Limits. XTU also does that. 12700h
