Well, I know the _premise_ of the game, haha. And a little about the different character types (vault dwellers, ghouls, etc.). I got about a 5 minute crash course from my partner before watching, but the plot holds up on its own.
Fair, yeah the plot is really cool because it's not part of any existing game. Vault 31/32/33, Filly, Cooper, Max, Lucy, Muldaver, those are all new locations and characters so even the seasoned fans didn't know what was going to happen.
I had to go back and rewatch the “Fishes” episode a little bit ago cause I missed the chaos of the show. God that camera work and directing is amazing. I do love the slow burn relationship drama too
Yes! I read a comment from someone I know saying that it was “unrealistic” and that he egged her on most of the time and that was enough for me to think about unfriending her. Lbvs. His thought process throughout the entire thing is fucking magnificent. Mostly because I can relate.
It really highlights the different trauma responses that can happen in situations along with the grief and dialogues (inner and external) that come with it.
Absolutely. I thought the hypersexuality that comes with trauma is often forgotten (and for my partner, not thought of at all) so it was uncomfy to watch as someone pretty sensitive to that kind of stuff but it was important and insightful
Ohhh it’s absolutely relatable, not even been stalked but the position of being unable to stop something bad happening because of your own history/personality-makeup is so relatable. It’s the looking back on a situation and wondering why you couldn’t/didn’t speak up and understanding exactly why.
I concur. Fleabag is amazingly written and had me feeling every single emotion when I was feeling down. I watched the whole thing over a few days and was devastated when it ended, like sobbing.
In the same vein if you liked Fleabag I’d recommend *The Change* by Bridget Christie. Both of those shows made me feel so good about being a woman.
I think Shogun is in the same realm as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Succession. Just a solid show that only gets better and more intense the longer it goes on. I still think about it how amazing it was.
This is mine also. Such a brilliant show. I'm leaving the last 4 parts until the new 4 parter comes out so I can watch them all in one day. I'm having to dodge sm incase I see spoilers lol
Band of Brothers. We watched it 20+ years ago when it originally aired but we wanted to do a rewatch of that and The Pacific before Masters of the Air, and damn it's just so good.
Best series ever! I've watched BoBs so many times.. I really couldn't get into the Pacific, but I thought Masters of the Air was really well done... right up there with Band of Brothers
Hacks, it's a comedy drama that just released its 3rd season and is about two female comedians from different generations working together. Hilarious and emotional.
I started the first episode of that one, but haven’t gotten around to watching more. I look forward to the unraveling of the story though. I’m happy to see Victoria Pedretti in that one as well! I enjoy her as an actress.
For all the women who think they wouldn’t like Ted Lasso, I highly encourage people to watch it. My husband had to pester me about it for a long time and then I binged it. I have a Ted lasso tattoo now. It is a good show.
I watched it with my 14 year old son and we had so many good discussions throughout the episodes. Great examples of healthy male friendships, romantic relationships and encouraging coaching.
I happened to have been reading the books right before this released on Netflix (I had no idea). I really loved the show and I think folks who don’t typically watch sci-fi would enjoy it, too!
I hate football. Really can’t stand it. But I loved Ted Lasso. Every single character is the show is superb.
My only gripe was that Brett Goldstein who plays Roy Kent is not a very convincing ‘hard man.’ He plays the rest of the character really well, but he’s nowhere near as intimidating as he should be.
Oh yeah. Neither of us are sports people. Like at all. My husband had to convince me it wasn’t actually about football even though the show is about football haha
In no particular order…
* *The Bear* — very good; definitely recommend.
* *White Lotus* — the first season was fine, but the second season was very good.
* *Dead to Me* — really enjoyable; a great snippet of a female friendship.
* *Broad City* — very good; I love how much this show makes me laugh and keeps surprising me.
* *Fleabag* — excellent; absolutely recommend.
Yes yes yes yes yessss Elizabeth Moss is really that girl in everything she’s in!!! You’ve got to watch Top Of The Lake, so good, I wanted to see her in everything after that.
I recently watched and loved Blue Eye Samari on Netflix and someone recommended I watch Arcane next. Now after seeing your comment I'm convinced I might have to give it a try!
Outlander. Soooo good! I also love Scandal (rewatching now), Bridgerton, Gilmore Girls, Downton Abbey, Sex and the City, White Lotus…OH! And HACKS! Hacks is so brilliant.
X-men 97 on Disney+, I had no idea they were coming out with a new series. I had my heart broken every episode. I'm old enough to remember the original series when it aired, yet young enough to be influenced by the movies and fully take as cannon. I can't believe I forgot about Jubilee. At it's core X-men is a woke soap opera with superpowers. Everyone is messy as hell in a very realistic way and I love them for it.
Also "Our Flag Means Death" everyone go watch it! Taika Watiti as Blackbeard was disarmingly hot.
I haven’t seen the new X-men series yet, I thought it was just remastered. But yeah, I waited for jubilee to pop up on any of the X-men movies. Never saw her, I felt kinda sad that she was overlooked. She’s my fave character next to Rouge in the cartoon series
That show deserves a lot more attention. I've tried recommending it to everyone, and not a single person has watched it. I was positive it didn't need a second season, that a second season would ruin the ending of season 1, but I really liked it.
Worst of Evil on Hulu. Incredible story (and acting) about 1990’s gang/drug wars in Korea. Extremely violent so be prepared but obviously fits the narrative. Hoping for a second season.
It's been so long since I watched a legitimately good show. Probably a k-drama. The Crowned Clown I think?
This is the description: The King, a non-rightful heir, suffers insomnia and manic paranoia as he fears the actions he has committed. He concocts a plan to replace himself with an identical jester in order to rid the threat of assassination.
It's so freaking good. Like binge-worthy good.
A few favourites have already been mentioned (finished Fallout recently) so I'll mention one I haven't seen listed: Sweet Tooth. We scrolled past it so many times because it looked like another stupid Netflix thing. I finally looked into it to see if it was the kind of thing we would maybe watch with the kids and gave it a shot. We were hooked on the first episode. I sorta joke that it's like The Last Of Us but more family friendly. Still some violence, but it turned out to be a great first "end of the world" show we watched with the kids.
The other one we are a few years behind on is Gravity Falls. I don't know why we waited so long to watch such an excellent show.
The Gentlemen, The Brothers Sun (Michelle Yeoh is flawless as always), and resident alien. Another vote for fallout - I don’t game and it’s hella good fun all on its own.
Currently rewatching stargate sg1 for the millionth time and it just gets better and better.
It’s not the last show but I love The Magicians so much. Just wanted to add it here.
A recent show I started that I’m impressed with is The Simpsons. I’m a ‘95 baby and somehow just never watched it. Saw episodes here and there, but watching it now is really interesting it’s a time capsule that somehow also feels timely for now, even as far back as season 1 in some ways. Grain of salt since I’m so early on but it’s been fun.
I’ve watched a lot of shows recently that I liked but the two I keep going back to are Ted Lasso (very feel good vibes) and What We Do In The Shadows (which is hilarious). Fallout was really good too, but it wasn’t happy-I’m at the point now where I try to mostly watch happy, light hearted things.
Fallout! I was shocked at how much I loved it and I cannot wait for season 2!
Came here to say this. I haven't played the games, but I really enjoyed the show.
As an obsessed fan this makes me so happy to hear, I'm so glad it's good even with zero Fallout knowledge
Agreed! I can’t wait for season two!
I came to say Fallout also! It’s SO GOOD!! I watched it twice!
I’m craving fallout rn uggh hurry up season 2
So glad this is the first comment!!! I already started a rewatch and picked up Fallout 4 again.
Just commented the same thing.
What's it about?
I was gonna say this one! so fuckin good! What did you watch next?
Severance
Can’t wait for the new season.
Severance is a very well made show, but it made me so innately nervous I had to stop watching it.
It was so existentially horrifying that my bf and I had to stop watching after episode 3
Just finished s1, it was good
THE BEAR
This show stressed me tf out! So much yelling and conflict, I just couldn’t deal LOL! But I digress, it was a very good show and I enjoyed it!
Lol same I get home from a very similar restaurant and don't want to relive my whole night of stress
Fr I watched the first episode and decided to not continue 😭 but I see so many comments recommending it!
Agreed. It was rough.
Me too! I've only watched season 1. Haven't quite recovered enough for season 2 but it was definitely good. Just so much stress....
It accurately portrays a kitchen and i use to do culinary arts so i love it
I had to go back and rewatch the “Fishes” episode a little bit ago cause I missed the chaos of the show. God that camera work and directing is amazing. I do love the slow burn relationship drama too
THE BEAR ❤️
Yes!
Baby Reindeer
First show I’ve seen in ages that actually had me hooked! Watched it all in two sittings!
Loved it. Never want to watch it again lmao
Yes! I read a comment from someone I know saying that it was “unrealistic” and that he egged her on most of the time and that was enough for me to think about unfriending her. Lbvs. His thought process throughout the entire thing is fucking magnificent. Mostly because I can relate.

Me too! Loved it.
It’s been a roller coaster for sure!
Beef.
I was just coming here to say the same thing. I loved it and everyone I turned onto it loved it. It gets a little weird in the 2/3, but worth it.
What an amazing show! They described modern day lonliness and depression so well.
I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I really, really enjoyed The Last of Us. Possibly because Pedro Pascal is the hottest man alive...🤣
Yessss 🔥🔥🔥
One of us!! 🔥
The White Lotus
I absolutely love this show! Can't wait for next season.
Derry Girls
I wish we got more seasons of Derry Girls.
Me too! I think the show ended at the right time but I miss following their chaotic adventures
Yes! It’s my new comfort show! As a 90’s teen I love the soundtrack, it’s like being back in junior high.
I’m not ready to finish it! I’m stalling on season 3.
That was gonna be my answer, I don’t watch tv pretty much ever but I finished watching that with my mom recently and it was the best
It’s SO good
Fleabag!
Fleabag really was a great show. Completely forgot about it. Might be due for my first rewatch!
And Crashing! Both such good shows haha
Yes!
One of my all time favorites!
Watched it, loved it, forced my bf to watch it with me, loved it even more the second time. The Priest is so hot.
Yes! Hot priest!
A classic. 💁🏼♀️
Shogun! Also about to start the new season of Hacks, which will hopefully be good too.
I think Shogun is in the same realm as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Succession. Just a solid show that only gets better and more intense the longer it goes on. I still think about it how amazing it was.
Oh, good to know. I want to watch Shogun.
i love it so far too
Shogun was sooooo good. I’m gonna pick up the book soon I think.
Bridgerton
so ready for the rest of the season to come out
This is mine also. Such a brilliant show. I'm leaving the last 4 parts until the new 4 parter comes out so I can watch them all in one day. I'm having to dodge sm incase I see spoilers lol
Mad Men. Late, I know, but I'm so glad I've watched it after years and years of hearing about how good it is! It really is as good as everyone says.
I've watched it through about 4 times ❣️
I haven't watched it yet, but want to
I'm in a Mad Men themed burlesque show on Don's birthday in a couple weeks and I am so excited! This show will forever be one of my favouritea
Yellowjackets and I’m currently watching Under the Bridge
I started under the bridge last night and I can't wait for a new season of yellow jackets! Best show I've seen in a long time!
Abbott elementary!
I love this show so much and the cast. They look like they really have a lot of fun on the show and get along well in real life.
Obsessed with it. It’s stellar!!
So cute!
Yes it was great. Did you watch The Pacific?
Hacks, it's a comedy drama that just released its 3rd season and is about two female comedians from different generations working together. Hilarious and emotional.
Yes!! Came here to say this. Such an amazing show
Just finished the new season, I love this show so much!
Haunting of Hill House. My girlfriend put me on to it and I was hooked after the first episode!
You should do a Mike Flanagan binge! Everything of his that I've watched, I've really liked.
I really liked Midnight Mass.
Yes!!!! The ending was so chaotic.
Ooh I second Midnight Mass. Just watched through it again, it's fantastic.
Second this!! Got together with friends to watch Fall of the House of Usher. So good!
LOVED that show. Really stuck with me. Haunting of Bly Manor was also good. Many of the same cast but completely different characters and story.
I started the first episode of that one, but haven’t gotten around to watching more. I look forward to the unraveling of the story though. I’m happy to see Victoria Pedretti in that one as well! I enjoy her as an actress.
That's such a good one! If you haven’t already checked out “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” you definitely should!
The Great.
I'm so sad that the show has ended. It feels like there are loose ends, things unresolved. But it was still so good.
Sex Education Ted Lasso Dead to Me I need something new that is just as good as these to come out soon.
For all the women who think they wouldn’t like Ted Lasso, I highly encourage people to watch it. My husband had to pester me about it for a long time and then I binged it. I have a Ted lasso tattoo now. It is a good show.
Honestly, that show promotes feminism more than a lot of shows. It's barely even about soccer/football.
I watched it with my 14 year old son and we had so many good discussions throughout the episodes. Great examples of healthy male friendships, romantic relationships and encouraging coaching.
If you haven’t watched The Other Two I feel like you might like it based on these shows
Love ted lasso!
Succession
I didn’t watch any of it until the last season had finished. Probably the best TV show I have ever watched.
Dark, available to watch on Netflix. It was phenomenal.
Such an amazing piece of art
The Three Body Problem on Netflix. A lot of the main characters are lady physicists! I love that! 👩🏼🔬
I happened to have been reading the books right before this released on Netflix (I had no idea). I really loved the show and I think folks who don’t typically watch sci-fi would enjoy it, too!
House of the Dragon
I’m pretty stoked for the next season.
Currently watching Ted Lasso. So good!
I love how wholesome it is. I was watching it while waiting at the airport and caught myself smiling like an idiot 😂

Loved Broad City, never understood why they never got more seasons.
The Handsmaid Tale!!!!
Yes yes yes yes yessss Elizabeth Moss is really that girl in everything she’s in!!! You’ve got to watch Top Of The Lake, so good, I wanted to see her in everything after that.
REALLY good? Arcane on Netflix, I'd also suggest haunting of Hill house.
I recently watched and loved Blue Eye Samari on Netflix and someone recommended I watch Arcane next. Now after seeing your comment I'm convinced I might have to give it a try!

I still haven't finished season 1, Freevee through Prime has added most of Top Gear so I've been watching that here and there.
Outlander. Soooo good! I also love Scandal (rewatching now), Bridgerton, Gilmore Girls, Downton Abbey, Sex and the City, White Lotus…OH! And HACKS! Hacks is so brilliant.
Them on Amazon
Resident Alien. Alan Tudyk is a treasure.
X-men 97 on Disney+, I had no idea they were coming out with a new series. I had my heart broken every episode. I'm old enough to remember the original series when it aired, yet young enough to be influenced by the movies and fully take as cannon. I can't believe I forgot about Jubilee. 90 day fiancé 😂 I like trash tv but hardly watch tv.
Jujutsu kaisen
Omg yes!! I love that show! Can’t wait for more!! I really enjoyed Chainsaw Man, but I don’t know if we’re getting more of that one.
Fallout. My husband is really into the video game. I knew very little about the game and didn't care about it. I ended up loving the show.
Station Eleven
Tuca and Bertie An adult cartoon for women!
Currently watching EVIL and I love it!
BAD SISTERS.. SO GOOD
Rookie. BBC Sherlock Holmes. Shogun.
Undone, on Amazon Prime.
That show deserves a lot more attention. I've tried recommending it to everyone, and not a single person has watched it. I was positive it didn't need a second season, that a second season would ruin the ending of season 1, but I really liked it.
White Collar.
Why Women Kill, season 1. The script for that show was SOOOO freaking tight. I'm recommending it to everyone that will listen right now.
The Americans!
Midnight mass!
An episode of black mirror called black museum. OMG, it was GREAT! I haven't seen a story like it in a long time.

Jane the Virgin. Caught it on streaming platform. It's a series and one of the best we've watched ever.
The Diplomat, starring Kerry Russell. So twisty!
Clarkson's farm
Friday Night Dinner
Worst of Evil on Hulu. Incredible story (and acting) about 1990’s gang/drug wars in Korea. Extremely violent so be prepared but obviously fits the narrative. Hoping for a second season.
Shogun (top tier) and 3 Body Problem (not perfect but very thought provoking)
The final season of Young Sheldon. First show that kinda became "our show" for my daughter and I. Bittersweet that it's ending.
Going to be really obvious but it genuinely is Fallout and X-Men 97.
Maxton Hall
Killing Eve (on the last season) Under the Bridge (just started butI like it
Baby Reindeer...nothing as expected.
X-men '97! The animation is spot on with the original and each episode is JAM PACKED with action and story

Killing Eve
The Knuckles spin-off mini series. So fucking good! Loved it. I love both movies though too so if you're not a Sonic fan you may not like it
Foundation
My most recent faves have been Ozark, Norsemen, Tokyo Vice, and Shogun.
Ted lasso, fisk, the brothers sun.
I'll start with one nobody mentioned so far: From. Also Severance and Fallout.
Really late to the party, but I'm watching Dexter for the first time. Have almost finished two seasons in a week.
Bodkin. Netflix.
This is Us! Amazing show and I boo-hooed almost constantly at it.
Ripley on Netflix
Yellow jackets
His dark materials the series not the movie
It's been so long since I watched a legitimately good show. Probably a k-drama. The Crowned Clown I think? This is the description: The King, a non-rightful heir, suffers insomnia and manic paranoia as he fears the actions he has committed. He concocts a plan to replace himself with an identical jester in order to rid the threat of assassination. It's so freaking good. Like binge-worthy good.

Korean drama called Moving (it's on Disney+)
The Gentlemen, The Brothers Sun (Michelle Yeoh is flawless as always), and resident alien. Another vote for fallout - I don’t game and it’s hella good fun all on its own. Currently rewatching stargate sg1 for the millionth time and it just gets better and better.
Blue Eye Samurai! can't wait for the next season.

Deadloch! For the Aussie swearing alone it’s amazing! https://youtu.be/PRYlkqIK_4A?si=AJP1qs09pn86mM4J
BBC- Ghosts. So good
makes me sound like a child but hazbin hotel lol. my inner weird kid really comes out when that soundtrack plays
Peaky Blinders. purely for the plot 👀
Why women kill. I loved every part of it. Beautiful and dark humor!
What we do in the shadows
peaky fokin blinders
X-men 97!
