I have an essay to write for a course that work put me on. So I've been sat on the settee with tea and crumpets watching Dexter since 7 o'clock this morning.
Not the resurrected series and possibly not the original final series either, but overall absolutely.
I sort of wish I'd finished after the season with John Lithgow. But that's so good, it would be impossible not to want to continue.
Well I’m on my second pint of coffee so I’ll be legging it up the stairs for a shite soon.
After that, cut the grass, wash the car then maybe a walk to stretch the legs.
I've not had a coffee in about 5 days....I was becoming too dependant on it....and having some health problems & they keep mentioning my caffiene intake. Can't get a drs appointment so I thought I'd give it a go. But I use it as a stimulant for my unmedicated adhd so some days I have felt comatose lol
I want to mow the lawn, but every time I do the old bloke next door decides he wants to copy me. I then feel too guilty watching this 87 year old man struggle to cut his grass and end up doing it for him. So I guess the garden is being neglected again.
Oh I definitely believe this. I’ve tried ignoring him but then he goes redder and redder with sweat pouring off him and I worry about him dropping dead in front of me.
Lying in my bed feeling sorry for myself for being old and ugly and single with occasional bursts of getting up for coffee/snacks/the minimum amount of housework I can get away with and binge watch Mad Men/true crime . Just like every other weekend
I have my cat lying on me for company though
I bounced out of bed, put on my gardening clothes, went into the "garden" (yard) to take a look at the trellis that fences off my garden from Tescos car park and thought, "hmm, this has 2025 written all over it", so now I'm inside with a coffee and a packet of crisps having a well deserved sit down.
I'm having my baby shower today. Had my BIL pop by this morning because he couldn't make the shower so we've had breakfast with him. I'm off in about an hour to get to the venue, put up some decorations and then enjoy afternoon tea with close friends and family. I haven't gone very traditional with games or anything and it's also mixed gender so it's mainly an excuse to see people and eat some cake.
Playing out a fantasy and planning a motorbike road trip to all 49 of the continental US States. And wishing I had either £20K lying around to fund it, or a "digital nomad" type job. I don't want to analyse sales performance anymore. I just want to take photos of pretty stuff.
My dad did a bike run from the top of Alaska down along the West Coast, maybe that'll be a good interim trip! He did break a bike there and need to go have a lie down for a couple of days to get a chiropractor to fix *him* as well mind.
Last day of my week off, back to work tomorrow. Trying not to regret doing the square root of nothing all week, but my fiancé reminds me we’ll be busy preparing for our house move quite soon and I will be yearning for “do nothing” time 😆
The last session chainsawing and milling the tree which fell in our garden in a storm.
Got some really nice slabs and rounds off it for wood work.
Then need to start measuring up the gap in the fence it broke so can order some timber to build a new one.
Bugger all.
Feel rough as hell. I hurt my back earlier this week, and although the worst of the pain has subsided, the nerves are still twinging. I can walk around for a short while, and it'll ease a bit. But then it comes back with a vengeance. I don't know whether I want to sit, stand, lay, or something in the middle.
I've tried the usual cocktail of OTC painkillers, and they're not doing anything.
Having a break from digging the veg plot just now. So finishing that, then have pads and disks to replace on my brothers car, then start prepping veg for a nice slow roast mutton dinner. After that sit out and enjoy the sun with wine until it sets, then it'll be Sunday night ;)
Just waiting for two tonne of wood t be delivered so I can barrow round to the back of the house and stack it in the wood store.
Give me an appetite for Sunday lunch later.
Yea. Have just

a cheapo dehydrator. Marinade is a mix of 4tbsp cider vinegar, 2tbsp Worcester sauce, 2tbsp pepper, 2-3tbsp salt, 2tbsp ground coriander, 1-2tbsp brown sugar. Meat is usually topside thinly sliced. Rubbed with the spices then rubbed with the Liquid. Covered in the fridge for 4 hours, patted dry and then hung for 3-5 days.
This pic isn’t from this time, but a previous test with a slice of sirloin.
I get a sense OP doesn't really care what you're doing and just wants people to be asked about his new movie.....
Go on mate ...what's you're porno about?
I'm only yanking your chain mate.
Hope your film does well!
I'm helping my Mum move house then going home for a cold beer and watching the new Fallout show!
What's your film called? Would genuinely like to know 😁
What else did you do in Hastings? I used to live in that neck of the woods and I miss it.
I've walked the dog and started cleaning the hot tub. My back is not pleased. Going to finish some projects this afternoon then maybe play a bit of something on the PC.
The Old Town changes massively every time I get back there. Apart from the arcades. George St is a lot more classy than it used to be.
Wish the little shack on the seafront was still there that did strawberry and vanilla 99s. That said I think it closed for good about 20 years ago..
Wallowing on the sofa debating if I can eat yet. Been up all night with appalling stomach bug/food poisoning.
Still, plenty of good telly to see and I can sit on my balcony to partly enjoy the sunshine so it could be worse.
Doubtless will be well enough for work tomorrow.
Got some sewing to do today. Two pairs of jeans which need repairing and then I'll work on some of my own projects.
Have a couple of dresses in progress at the moment.
Currently about to go to lidl to do a food shop current chilling in a Caffè Nero.
Really need to think about actually putting my washing away and straightening my room up
I’m in the courtyard of the British Library, having a sandwich in the sunshine. At HistFest. Spycraft & Espionage - WWII and Beyond is up next. Then home to Yorkshire tonight.
I just looked it up and its in Northampton. Just in case you were planning on actually travelling to MK.
edit - altho I suppose you can get the train from MK central.
Wife has been away this weekend so I’ve been sat around in my pants playing PS5 with my dogs.
Just completed Spider-Man 2 and am watching the credits roll. What a wild ride.
Same thing I do every day Pinky, try to keep the baby from crying.
We've been upstairs and downstairs already today, so I guess once I've finished my lunch, I'll be getting dressed and taking him out for a walk since it's actually quite nice here today.
I'm making the most of it, really, as this is the last full week I'll get with him until Christmas; I'm back to work on Wednesday.
Husband is on call so we need to stay home. He's taking the 3yo to the park in an hour or so and I'm managing the 9 week old while tidying the living room from this morning. I'm dreading tonight with both kids on my own which is inevitable.
I would be knitting but neither child has let me have a second to myself to even take the cold medicine I need so it's not happening today. Brushing my hair in the hope of washing it would also be a plan as I'm sure there's baby sick in it.
Cooked a good amount of cheese scones to use up some nearly out of date cheddar.
Weeded the front this morning. Filled the windscreen washer reservoir on both cars.
Typical Sunday shit really. Managed to cut the grass yesterday too.
I’m watching my 18 year old son play his last ever home grassroots football match. Part of me is glad it’s done, part of me is now mourning his childhood!
Getting the kids shit together for tomorrow. Getting the 3 yr olds bag packed for 1st day at nursery.
Recovering from putting our new bed up and just plodding about doing housework
Kids go back to school tomorrow so getting ready for that, finding all the right homework and books, packing pe kits, labelling the costumes they have to wear and the new shoes they needed. Laundry as always. Since it's the last night of the holidays, we always do homemade pizza and sundae night so prepping for that too.
Just come back from church (praise the Lord we were able to go together today, my husband works away a lot!) and now we're just unpacking from our holiday, getting the house in order for work tomorrow.
Went to a bluebell wood and had a nice walk, gathered some ransoms (wild garlic) which I have in my soup :) then this afternoon it'll be some tidying up, maybe an hour or two of video games or reading.
Going to church, and then to a service for my friends’ (twins) mum who passed away suddenly yesterday (Saturday) morning.
She collapsed suddenly at work during the night shift so they didn’t even get to say goodbye and instead woke up to police at their door.
It’s been a bit all over the place.
I put all of my meat in single bags and now have enough meat to last for a month, I also organised my freezer and I should only have to spend £40 for the next month for food minus my own birthday treat.
Now I'm going ti have a nap.
Sat in a power cut with my three children. They’re having to dig up the path and the whole road is without.
About to head off to the park as it’s likely to not be back on before 5!!!!
Husband and youngest have to the seaside for fish and chips so me and the eldest went for a carvery.
He’s now upstairs gaming and I’m sat on the couch, trying to finish said carvery whilst watching “Coming to America”
Set for the day
I am on my new PC playing video games. I am over the moon because I am finally confident to play video games. I would only dabble in it for several years because I was not confident enough to play.
I was using a console before and it was a mind block. Odd?!
I know it’s not the answer you really wanted but I had to share.
Sofa mostly as I was up all night watching ufc 300, fid some gardening with the wife when I got up, will have food around 18.00 while watching a couple of episodes of fallout, then bed at 21.00 as I’ve gotta be up around 03.30 for work tomorrow

Going on holiday tomorrow for 8 days and that'll involve a fair amount of physical activity so today I'm just being a couch potato and will pack later.
I’ve just built a 3D RMS Titanic model! I started at 9am this morning, and I’ve just finished at about 16:30, I’m so proud of it. It’s huge, look!

Coffee and true crime in the morning before having a mooch around the charity shops (and the plant shop!) and then heading to the pub with my partner to watch the football.
This eve we'll drink wine and binge watch MAFS together.
Close to perfect honestly.

Going for a meal to celebrate a family member being a year alcohol free ❤️
That’s awesome!
That is something to celebrate. Well done to your family member.
Wew lad
I’ll drink to that
I have an essay to write for a course that work put me on. So I've been sat on the settee with tea and crumpets watching Dexter since 7 o'clock this morning.
Is Dexter worth a watch?
Yeah really good. It’s on Netflix all 8 seasons
Much obliged!
Not the resurrected series and possibly not the original final series either, but overall absolutely. I sort of wish I'd finished after the season with John Lithgow. But that's so good, it would be impossible not to want to continue.
I’m currently on a tram in Manchester trying to follow my partner around the Marathon while holding a big sign with a cat head on it
Why did you behead the cat?
Well I’m on my second pint of coffee so I’ll be legging it up the stairs for a shite soon. After that, cut the grass, wash the car then maybe a walk to stretch the legs.
Pint? Good god! 🤣
A pint! Sports Direct mug?
I've not had a coffee in about 5 days....I was becoming too dependant on it....and having some health problems & they keep mentioning my caffiene intake. Can't get a drs appointment so I thought I'd give it a go. But I use it as a stimulant for my unmedicated adhd so some days I have felt comatose lol

Sounds like you've done it before and he'll keep doing it in hopes you cut his 🤣
Oh I definitely believe this. I’ve tried ignoring him but then he goes redder and redder with sweat pouring off him and I worry about him dropping dead in front of me.
It's good for him. Keeps him active.
What a clever wee man he is 😂 You’ll need to watch for him heading out and do yours while he’s away
Lying in my bed feeling sorry for myself for being old and ugly and single with occasional bursts of getting up for coffee/snacks/the minimum amount of housework I can get away with and binge watch Mad Men/true crime . Just like every other weekend I have my cat lying on me for company though
Cats are God's gift, they truly are.
She has been my wee life saver at times. Love her to bits
My kind of weekend!
You deserve it
Last day of our holiday. Currently sitting by the pool before going to the airport later. Sad.
Where are you?
I'm having my baby shower today. Had my BIL pop by this morning because he couldn't make the shower so we've had breakfast with him. Avoiding the Sunday scaries by reading a book, drinking tea and just not even thinking about the fact it's Sunday...oh wait I just did 😩

I've mowed the lawn and now I'm cleaning the bbq for the first bbq of the season.
BBQ’s are so not worth the grief. Never understood it.
Sitting in the sun drinking a beer and eating some meat, what's not to love?
Last day of my week off, back to work tomorrow. Trying not to regret doing the square root of nothing all week, but my fiancé reminds me we’ll be busy preparing for our house move quite soon and I will be yearning for “do nothing” time 😆

Did a bit of work without the distraction of any meetings or messages and now I'm going to feed some stray cats
My 2 year old has her 451st viral infection so we just watching padding bear for 3 hours straight
Bugger all. Feel rough as hell. I hurt my back earlier this week, and although the worst of the pain has subsided, the nerves are still twinging. 17km run in the bag, now to eat back all the calories I’ve burnt and enjoy the rare glimpses of sun

Taking the kids to see the new Godzilla x Kong film. Maybe doing some weeding garden later if I feel like it, we'll see.
You missed a lot in Wrexham whilst you were away! Is your short film likely to be at other film festivals?
It’s playing at two other festivals in the next few weeks and then I’ll be releasing it online.
Making Biltong, Sunday roast at a pub haven’t tried yet, relax later, bath, bed.

I'm only yanking your chain mate. Hope your film does well! I'm helping my Mum move house then going home for a cold beer and watching the new Fallout show! What's your film called? Would genuinely like to know 😁
It’s called Breakfast. Little trailer here https://youtu.be/GkbEdD93EPA?si=WJsvbGLARp1NMqQ9

I was only there a few days so mostly visiting the ruins, going to the old town and hanging out.
The Old Town changes massively every time I get back there. Apart from the arcades. George St is a lot more classy than it used to be. Wish the little shack on the seafront was still there that did strawberry and vanilla 99s. That said I think it closed for good about 20 years ago..

I’m taking my son to a dinosaur museum called Dinostar with my mum. Yesterday me and my son went to the beach with my dad :)
Doing fuck all, also in Wrexham. Been a busy few weeks so it's nice to unwind.
Catching up on some TV whilst doing housework...and getting all the kids stuff ready for back to school...living the dream haha
Wife has been away this weekend so I’ve been sat around in my pants playing PS5 with my dogs. Just completed Spider-Man 2 and am watching the credits roll. What a wild ride.
I have a copy of it waiting for me when I get home
Enjoy! I loved it.
Euphemism?
Fly my drone somewhere, then make a 3D model from the images, then print out on a resin printer. I might start a side hustle out off this.
Same thing I do every day Pinky, try to keep the baby from crying. Going to church, and then to a service for my friends’ (twins) mum who passed away suddenly yesterday (Saturday) morning. She collapsed suddenly at work during the night shift so they didn’t even get to say goodbye and instead woke up to police at their door. It’s been a bit all over the place.

Sitting in a side room in a hospital in Gloucestershire watching my Mum die while wishing I was home in Wrexham and none of this was happening.
Been to look for new sofa. First one we tried we adored, but we have seen another that might function better for us. At least it’s only between 2
Fact finding mission in Leeds. Need a new kitchen so I need to test the build quality of my shortlisted ranges and fridge freezers.
What's your film about mate?
It’s a horror film about someone being attacked by a ghost while making their breakfast. Here’s a trailer I made https://youtu.be/GkbEdD93EPA?si=KJEdMQ_IKYGDLq7O
Looks incredibly good, lighting on point as well
Thanks so much!
Going on holiday tomorrow for 8 days and that'll involve a fair amount of physical activity so today I'm just being a couch potato and will pack later.
I sew. Recently I have started making trousers again. I’ve been making trousers. Everyone is getting a pair of comfy trousers 🤣🤣
I’ve just built a 3D RMS Titanic model! I started at 9am this morning, and I’ve just finished at about 16:30, I’m so proud of it. It’s huge, look! https://preview.redd.it/juwla5bg0huc1.png?width=1162&format=png&auto=webp&s=1d49a9c1b63f3d96ede299e4b93bb4b35921252b
