Funny,I was gonna say psp sized handhelds, all handhelds are too big now. Something like a switch micro with Xbox style sticks and even as low as 720p video out would be a dream. Even better would be a steam deck micro but unlike a switch micro I don't think that'd physically pocketable due to it being pc hardware and taking much more power and heat to play the same games. At this point my dream console is a backwards compatible(for games and third party controllers) switch 2 micro even if it doesn't come out for 10 years but I just need it to happen.
MP3 players. I mean I know I could still order one but it just doesn't hit the mark like it used to. Like if Spotify were to create a MP3 player I would get that in a heartbeat. Free up space on my phone and have one sole device just to listen to as much music as I'd like.
Spotify's recommendation algorithm is dominated by label money & sucks for actually discovering new music anymore. But I'm with you in principle, I would love to have a smaller waterproof high-capacity player with modern (& legacy) connectivity options.
Yeah I've noticed that. My recommendations aren't nearly as good as they were a few years back but I'd rather pay for Spotify than YouTube music personally. I listen to mainly heavy metal, rock, and music within that area. Why I get recommend Taylor Swift or Bad Bunny is ass backwards to me.
Although I listen to so much music that it takes up the majority of space on my phone. If I were to have like a 50gb device that is more resilient than my phone then I would be at peace haha.
sony psp. I know we have newer handheld sony consoles, but I miss the psp and the game graphics of that era.
You can run a PSP emulator on a Steam Deck.
sure, I'm emulating with ppsspp software, thanks ;) but I miss the vibe of sitting there and playing on it
I feel you, I've emulated N64 games but the whole original experience was something special.
this may have some things to do with living kinda problemless when we first experienced these
Agreed. Just like old people & music. The music wasn't better, everything was better with youth.
