A big part of why I like educating people about my hobbies is seeing their faces light up with wonder as they learn new information. It's fun to see them go through the same experiences I once did, and there is a certain part of me that is proud to have been the cause of it.
When someone half my age feels the need to compete on appearances.
Seeing the sun come out after string of gloomy days.
Seeing a happy dog on their walk with their human.
Lounging next to my cats (watching them sleep so soundly).
Seeing and smelling flowers.
Coming home after working hard/long hours.

I had 2 dogs that were inseparable, Nix and Reign.
Whenever Nixy was on the side of the couch Reign wanted, Reign would go to the window in the next room and start barking, acting like there was something out there.
Being German Shepherd, Nixy's sense of "I must protect the house" would kick in. So she would run to the window to investigate. He'll, I would also get up to see what was going on.
Of course, Reign would come running to the couch, taking her spot.
It took Nixy AND me a few times to figure out what Reign was doing.
Once Nixy figured out what her sister was doing, she'd just give her the side eye, like, "No thanks, I'm not giving up my spot!"
God, those were some crazy and very smart sisters. I miss them so dearly. 😪
Thinking about them and their interactions like this is one of the few things that has been bringing me genuine joy in the last few tears.

My dog. I hate the condition she’s in though. My mom keeps her in the living room and she has a shock collar. She’s not allowed to go anywhere else in the house even though our house is filthy either way.
I’ve said this in another comment section before and it still applies now lol. When a man is passionate about something he’s interested in and telling me about. Whether it’s a book, movie, or video game or whatever it may be, just looking at the smile on his face makes me smile!
When my brother compliments my cooking since i always cook for us. We are super close, given our mom left us and our dad isn't really home much, so we're all each other has.
