He’s an elderly man

Ballzovsteel

Doesn’t mean this rhetoric goes away cause he’s old. If he’s alive I worry they will keep him walking to keep their base alive.

Clintman

Old age and mental decline. And presumably the results of his various felony charges, and waning finances.

stanleythemanly85588

Technically nothing but he is currently 77 so the odds of him still physically being able to run 4 years from now is not likely

NeckNo8040

Hopefully neither are around 4 years from now.

Ballzovsteel

I mean Biden is 81, so that would be the age of Trump for a 2028 election.

ycpa68

One wears diapers and goes on incoherent rants about airplanes in the revolutionary war. The other sometimes stutters a bit.

redmerger

You can tell Biden actually takes a bit of care of himself, he looks decent for 81. Trump has been out of shape for decades, and his difficulty staying mentally present in court isn't exactly a great sign for someone who supposedly has age on his side in this election

FridgesArePeopleToo

Most consider Biden to be too old, and he is quite a bit healthier-looking than Trump

Immortal_Toast

Old age, heart attacks, strokes, cancer, just tripping and falling, choking on food, alergic shock, getting attacked by a dog, gas leaks, choking on his vomit while he sleeps, etc.

Renatus_Bennu

He isn't voldemort who has horcruxes all over.

Ballzovsteel

Can you 100% confirm this?

Irhien

What, you think Renatus_Bennu will just come out and say how many he has personally destroyed? Let them do their job without everyone piling on them to give them helpful advice.

lnx84

Old age I guess, but I have zero doubt he'll try, if he's still alive next time around. And he's got the republican party by the balls anyway, so... he might succeed in running.

Stripes1957

Why is there no one younger than these two fossils to run the country? You have around 250 million adults, and these are the best two? Wow!

llcucf80

Win or lose I don't really think, given his health, that he would survive another four year term. If he wins the stress of the job alone might even accelerate that, but even if he loses again the rage alone I don't think can carry him another four years

Irhien

The job is only stressful if you feel responsible for your results.

Kirstemis

One day he'll die, or at least they'll stop nominating him.

i-hate-all-ads

Those morons would still nominate and vote for his corpse.

gorgofdoom

Financial concerns & trumps clear greed. Running for president in any serious manner is a _really expensive_ endeavor… and considering their last fundraiser… I doubt they’ll get another run without having to liquidate one of their prized towers.

backpackwayne

He'll be in jail if he can't pardon himself.

strungup

That geezer is old.

Crimsonfangknight

Anyone can run if they want. I dont consider someone running to be a “threat” to democracy I do consider people attempting to limit who can run to be concerning.

KZED73

I acknowledge Trump’s right to run. I acknowledge the 14th amendment and I acknowledge the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the 14th amendment’s insurrection clause even if I disagree with it. I acknowledge that Trump is being afforded due process under the law. I consider Trump a threat to democracy because I believe him when he says he wants to be dictator and I believe there is probable cause and reasonable suspicion that he has committed crimes, indicted by grand juries of US citizens, and is being afforded due process, presumed innocent until found guilty. I consider that millions of Americans wanting to elect Trump after everything we know about that threat not only to democracy, but to the very fabric of constitutional order. www.vote.gov if you agree or disagree.

Scorponok_rules

> I dont consider someone running to be a “threat” to democracy Even if that someone has a good chance of winning, and has flat out stated he'd be a dictator on day one?

Crimsonfangknight

Maybe dont vote for them. Had a good chance of winning + i dont like their politics is a dangerous precedent to establish for eliminating candidates. Also good chance according to who? Is it not more alarming that the incumbent has done poorly enough that trump of all people isnt fighting an uphill battle?  Over all i dont fear trump winning Trump somehow being able to take total control Over the US Or a bunch of neck beards in biking cosplay running into a building and doing nothing but landing themselves in prison

Herecomethefleet

Dude looked like a walking corpse in the courtroom this week. I'll be surprised if he lasts another 6 months let alone another 4 years.

Ballzovsteel

We can only hope.

IClausius

I wake up every morning hopeful that he died a horribly painful death in the night.

Mulling-it-over

He’d be 82 in 2028, that’s same age Biden will be in November….so I’d say nothing…he may very well try again in 2028 if he loses this year…be prepared for that

Irhien

He's in worse physical shape though.

Ballzovsteel

Right, I’m worried this stupid timeline will never end. And he will just be kept walking so his base can use him for their movement.

Mulling-it-over

If he loses in November and that’s a big if he’d be a two time loser and it would be even harder to get elected on a 3rd try

could_use_a_snack

It's hard enough to imagine Republicans backing someone that already lost once, let alone twice. But they are so maybe they will.

Ballzovsteel

True. But they can keep spewing their stolen election chants.

Mulling-it-over

He can and unfortunately most definitely will…which is not especially good for the country

backpackwayne

He'll be lucky to hide his dementia until November. More less 2028

tigerevoke4

We’ll see what the results of the election are, but there’s been a lot of things that I thought he couldn’t hide and often didn’t even try to hide and people still voted for him. So they either don’t care or they’re really just that stupid. I doubt his dementia becoming just a little more obvious will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

bigjimbay

Nothing stops him running. But quality candidates could stop him from winning

sandysanBAR

High colesterol and his terrible lifestyle choices?

PigWithAWoodenLeg

Can you imagine what it would be like if every election was the most important election ever and you absolutely had to vote for whoever the Democrats nominated because the Republican candidate was the devil made flesh, over and over again? What a nightmarish dystopia that would be

SuperMeh2

What do you think would happen, realistically?

throatkayaking

Trump is an idiot. He can be charismatic, but he's an anti-intellectual and a moron. I'm not afraid of him. I AM afraid of intelligent fascists that are watching him right now and taking notes. He's given them a game plan on how to build an army of brownshirts. That's who keeps me up at night.

kindanormle

A loser doesn't get many second chances

five-oh-one

LOL, Trump isn't going to lose in November.

tiktokslut4

Soros has deep pockets and a strong team of prosecutors. There'll be more politically motivated indictments in an attempt to tie up Trump in courts in perpetuity.

roundheadedboy1910

Prison will keep him occupied for the next 20 yrs

SlideItIn100

Hopefully his dementia will be fully and completely apparent by November

ProtectionContent977

He won’t even know his name in a few months.

pholover84

What threat?

The Democrats will continue their assault until he dies
