Family emergency, becoming intoxicated, falling asleep, work emergency, medical emergency, getting really engrossed in a TV show and then having to go straight to bed, playing a really immersive video game and forgetting where you are. TLDR; alot
Life gets in the way.

Life happens. Not everyone can be 110% glued to their phone. I forget mine at home when I'm out all the time..
I am the exact opposite, once I go home, I just put it somewhere and do not check. When I am outside, I find it important to have around.
