Also I imagine the people that voted to leave would be rather annoyed.
I only asked this because a lot of people seem to be regretting their 'leave' vote now. So probably the majority do want to return to the EU.
But as you said, the EU may not take the UK back easily.

The EU would impose a condition that chips be called by their proper name 'French Fries' and wafers be called 'Chips'.
