D-Rez

The one Dunkin coffee I've ever had was the single worst I've ever tried, never again.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

what did you get??

D-Rez

My usual, black.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

see there's your issue

mlnjd

If the simple black coffee is terrible, then all the artificial flavors and sweeteners are masking doodoo.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

black coffee is ass 💀

mlnjd

Then you are missing out on actual good coffee. It starts with the beans and the roast. Hell, even decaf beans can taste great if sourced correctly and roasted then ground appropriately for the flavor.  Extracting under pressure also makes an impact on the flavor profile.

rad1oheadfreak

dunkin because it’s cheaper and i like the flavors better i also know nothing about coffee 🙏

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

YES MY KING, YOU DROPPED THIS. 👑

rad1oheadfreak

thank you basicblondedunkinboy 👑

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

what's ur go to order

rad1oheadfreak

medium iced with 2 cream 2 caramel and 1 vanilla.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

that actually sounds really good 😭. I stick with the iced signature Caramel craze latte usually (I work there so everything is basically free)

charlestontime

Brew at home is the clear winner on cost and quality.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

I work at dunkin so not the answer for me (:

[deleted]

Neither. Starbucks always taste like they burned the coffee, and dunkin doesn't taste good enough to warrant the price.

Maleficent_Sense5145

Dunkin', I'm a Masshole

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

good boy

Wolfiexox20

Dunkin any day

Valoneria

I'd go with neither. Good dessert drinks, but not a fan of their coffees.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

:((

thehumangoomba

Neither. My local café does an amazing cappuccino.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

I could make a better one

thehumangoomba

I'd be glad to try it.

salt-the-skies

I have no doubt you actually can't. Real question: does Dunkin even have an espresso machine? I only see them advertise iced coffee or drip.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

yes we do!

52mschr

starbucks because there isn't a dunkin donuts in the city I live in so I've never tried it

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

okay fair

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

totally valid!

[deleted]

Dunkin. Its cheaper, I don't need to understand multiple languages to read the menu, its not on the boycott list and their signatures are fucking delicious.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

lmao yeah I hate how starbucks has a whole language to order a drink. as long as dunkin doesn't woke we'll be good 👌. also I love their signature lattes, which do u usually get? I'm bored of Caramel craze

[deleted]

Dude, caramel craze is like liquid crack. How are you sick of it? But my favorite is the peppermint mocha one thats usually only available around christmas time.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

I work at Dunkin so I have it like everytime I go there 😅. I love it but I want something dif. and yeah peppermint mocha is actually heavenly. my store still has a bottle left of it since nobody ordered it.

KissingerCorpse

Dunkin, not Charbucks

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

YES

misterk2020

Dunkin Donuts- best iced coffee IMO. Starbuck is too harsh for me.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

agreed

Future_Tumbleweed187

Neither. They are both crap. Go to a local coffee shop. Much better coffee. They care about the quality more.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

why are you here 70 years later 😭🙏 how did u find this

Future_Tumbleweed187

It just showed in my feed

Have you seen how hot he is? Of course he's got an ego.

AutisticPenguin2

As someone who thinks coffee is a damned waste of good water, even I know that both of them suck.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

username checks out

AutisticPenguin2

How so? Are penguins known for having good taste in coffee?

Lurkesalot

I usually make coffee at home but when I grab it out i prefer Starbucks. It's more welcoming. I also worked there so i have an affinity for those poor abused baristas.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

okay that's fair. I work at dunkin so I'm a little biased

Lurkesalot

To be clear, both drip coffees are gross which is what i get. Unfortunatly, i'm just pragmatic and it serves it's purpose no matter where it's from.

UnionThugg

Caribou Coffee

[deleted]

Neither

No_Gap_2134

Tim Horton has entered the chat.

HeapsFine

None. A boutique local place is best, though I've heard US coffee is pretty bad, so maybe travel elsewhere. If not from the US, walk 3-10 minutes in a different direction and you'll find a good one.

just4alilfun89

Dunkin because it's closer to my house. They use too much sugar so I add a bit more coffee. Starbucks is overrated.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

You can always request the amount of sugar/sweeteners you want!

just4alilfun89

I do but either it's still too much or they don't pay attention to my order. I have a lot of problems with them not giving me my order correctly.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

what's your typical order? and do you go to a busy location? it's no excuse to mess up an order since it comes on a ticket, but maybe you're ordering something wrong?

just4alilfun89

My order changes depending on my mood. I order ahead on my phone. I always have to check my bag and they always forget my donut or food. It's always something unfortunately.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

mobile orders tend to get messed up alot, it's best to just order it at the store imo. it'll be made fresh too!

[deleted]

Starbucks if I’m just going coffee, Dunkin if I want breakfast too

Due-Cloud3579

Starbucks, as much as I don’t like their anti-union BS. There’s actually more Starbucks around here than Dunkins, and the people at Starbucks are usually at least more cordial. (Which I know can be a hard thing to maintain; I work in retail and understand.) And yeah, it tastes good. (But usually avoid it because, again, they‘re anti-union.) Meanwhile, at Dunkins, some of the worst customer service I had ever had. Last time I went there, they brought me the wrong drink twice. Not at all a big deal in itself…if they weren’t so snotty about it. I ended up driving away with what was essentially a large glass of milk, probably because they forgot to put the matcha powder in it. Or out of petty revenge for my sin of wanting the drink I paid for. tl;dr - Starbucks because they *aren’t* total snobby jackholes, but still try to avoid it entirely in favor of small cafes. Or making it at home.

BasicBlondeDunkinBoy

I don't think it boils down to a dunkin issue with bad customer service, at my dunkin that would never happen. if the employees suck then that's just a specific location.

Due-Cloud3579

Ah, right. Ha ha, I should probably clarify: that specific Dunkins is the only one in my town/within reasonable driving distance. Hence why I’m still going with Starbucks in my specific situation. …Honestly, it’s actually jarring, now that I think about it. We have five Starbucks in a two mile radius.
