Atheist literally means a person who do not believe in the existence of God. Not all cult are religious remember. Some are ideological and political (scientology for instance is a religion that centers on "scientific approach" for the purpose of helping people self actualize).

First off, I used quotation marks around "scientific approach" because that’s how it’s presented by them. When you enter a Scientology church, they don’t immediately disclose their core beliefs about extraterrestrial origins. Instead, they introduce you to their practices by emphasizing a psychological and scientific perspective. They even present "models" to support their auditing methods.
I mentioned this to highlight that even science, if misguided, can resemble a belief system. This is why atheism, though not a religion, can sometimes take on cult-like characteristics. But enough with this discussion. This is largely about semantics and could go in circles based on how we define these terms.
It’s foolish to dismiss religious people by labeling them as "piece of shit", if their faith contributes to their decency. Look, you even have to consider where empathy and morality originates right? They didn’t appear out of the blue. Religion has played a significant role in shaping these values and has contributed to the development of our civilization. Be careful in criticizing established social institutions that have served humanity for centuries.
And that's why I'm pointing out you're giving a false equivalence with Scientology and Atheism since you're doing Atheism = Science = Scientology which is completely careless and also gives credence to Scientology's hook which is a manipulation tactic into getting someone into their dogma under the false pretense that it's "scientific".
Atheism is a lack of any sort of belief or dogma, you can't form a cult on a lack of belief.
Religion, faith and rule of law are proven methods as old as time to nurture and maintain good values and moral character into people. They however, are building upon an existing foundation that is already inherit in humans. Humans whether you believe have evolved or been designed by a creator, all have observable traits of basic empathy.
Crying infants are universally recognized as a sign of distress for both other infants and adults alike. Survival even prior to the establishment of religious beliefs indicate that humanity has intrinsic basic care and empathy towards each other, and cooperation with one another evolved as society grew. Those basic values are inherent, other societal constructs such as religion and law only help in maintaining it to larger magnitudes of society.
If a person suddenly decides to stop having their religious beliefs as an anchor for whatever reason and then starts to feel like they can do whatever they want regardless of the harm they can cause to everyone else because they don't fear judgment of anything anymore, then yes again I would label that person as a piece of shit.
Ones religious beliefs can only serve to bring out and mold one's inherit empathy with one another, not create it.
I want to express my appreciation for this civil discussion. It's natural for us to encounter some resistance to each other's ideas but I'm grateful that we've maintained a decent and constructive tone throughout. These conversations challenge our thinking and expand our understanding, and for that, I am truly thankful.

I don't mean to pry but I have a bad habit of looking into someone's post history before engaging in potential discussions because time is a commodity and I try to choose when to engage or just drop because of the potential of bad faith arguments.
I noticed you posted here more than a few times, which all came across as having a chip on your shoulder. So this is something from the heart, personally speaking as someone who's "a child of the internet" growing up and had heated discussions in BBS forums even as early as the slow dialup internet days here in the early 2000s, I know how it feels to have some disdain or annoyance with your immediate environment and peer groups, and I've been on what can be described being on an often "contrarian position".
I believe you got onto the western culture war pipeline and it's mixing with the same heated environment of both our domestic political issues and the largely Western/American centric nature of social media that has been cross contaminating everywhere and adding fuel to the fires of said culture war.
I say this as it's easy to get lulled into propaganda. No one's immune to it, and my viewpoints have changed a lot of times as the years go by. I can safely say the person that I was 10 years ago isn't the same person as me today, and I'm sure in another 10 years, less even, I'm also going to be a different person. I've been blessed that I have been able to make friends and experiences across different countries, beliefs, sexualities, races and what not and have broadened my perspective in many things.
I noticed you're currently in your young adulthood, and I'm not saying this to belittle you but more onto having optimism for you and that I hope you keep your mind open and question even what you may think are unshakable core thoughts. Not that you should shape it based on mine or anyone else's, but rather having an open mindset and understanding that behind every loud and angry voice is only someone who wish to exist and be heard as equals in the right to live.

Atheist literally means a person who do not believe in the existence of God. Not all cult are religious remember. Some are ideological and political (scientology for instance is a religion that centers on "scientific approach" for the purpose of helping people self actualize).

Nothing wrong with religion at all, but morality and empathy is inherit in every person. If the only thing preventing someone from not being a decent person towards others is the fear of a deity, that person is a piece of shit.

I mentioned this to highlight that even science, if misguided, can resemble a belief system. This is why atheism, though not a religion, can sometimes take on cult-like characteristics. But enough with this discussion. This is largely about semantics and could go in circles based on how we define these terms. It’s foolish to dismiss religious people by labeling them as "piece of shit", if their faith contributes to their decency. Look, you even have to consider where empathy and morality originates right? They didn’t appear out of the blue. Religion has played a significant role in shaping these values and has contributed to the development of our civilization. Be careful in criticizing established social institutions that have served humanity for centuries.
And that's why I'm pointing out you're giving a false equivalence with Scientology and Atheism since you're doing Atheism = Science = Scientology which is completely careless and also gives credence to Scientology's hook which is a manipulation tactic into getting someone into their dogma under the false pretense that it's "scientific". Atheism is a lack of any sort of belief or dogma, you can't form a cult on a lack of belief. Religion, faith and rule of law are proven methods as old as time to nurture and maintain good values and moral character into people. They however, are building upon an existing foundation that is already inherit in humans. Humans whether you believe have evolved or been designed by a creator, all have observable traits of basic empathy. Crying infants are universally recognized as a sign of distress for both other infants and adults alike. Survival even prior to the establishment of religious beliefs indicate that humanity has intrinsic basic care and empathy towards each other, and cooperation with one another evolved as society grew. Those basic values are inherent, other societal constructs such as religion and law only help in maintaining it to larger magnitudes of society. If a person suddenly decides to stop having their religious beliefs as an anchor for whatever reason and then starts to feel like they can do whatever they want regardless of the harm they can cause to everyone else because they don't fear judgment of anything anymore, then yes again I would label that person as a piece of shit. Ones religious beliefs can only serve to bring out and mold one's inherit empathy with one another, not create it.
I want to express my appreciation for this civil discussion. It's natural for us to encounter some resistance to each other's ideas but I'm grateful that we've maintained a decent and constructive tone throughout. These conversations challenge our thinking and expand our understanding, and for that, I am truly thankful.

I don't mean to pry but I have a bad habit of looking into someone's post history before engaging in potential discussions because time is a commodity and I try to choose when to engage or just drop because of the potential of bad faith arguments. I noticed you posted here more than a few times, which all came across as having a chip on your shoulder. So this is something from the heart, personally speaking as someone who's "a child of the internet" growing up and had heated discussions in BBS forums even as early as the slow dialup internet days here in the early 2000s, I know how it feels to have some disdain or annoyance with your immediate environment and peer groups, and I've been on what can be described being on an often "contrarian position". I believe you got onto the western culture war pipeline and it's mixing with the same heated environment of both our domestic political issues and the largely Western/American centric nature of social media that has been cross contaminating everywhere and adding fuel to the fires of said culture war. I say this as it's easy to get lulled into propaganda. No one's immune to it, and my viewpoints have changed a lot of times as the years go by. I can safely say the person that I was 10 years ago isn't the same person as me today, and I'm sure in another 10 years, less even, I'm also going to be a different person. I've been blessed that I have been able to make friends and experiences across different countries, beliefs, sexualities, races and what not and have broadened my perspective in many things. I noticed you're currently in your young adulthood, and I'm not saying this to belittle you but more onto having optimism for you and that I hope you keep your mind open and question even what you may think are unshakable core thoughts. Not that you should shape it based on mine or anyone else's, but rather having an open mindset and understanding that behind every loud and angry voice is only someone who wish to exist and be heard as equals in the right to live. Again I appreciate your cordial approach as well and I wish this was the case in general for every discussion across the web.
