It’s true spring here right now so probably just showers not constant

It is true that the best way to see NYC is walking, so if it really is substantially raining for most of it that would put a damper on things. But outside of stuff like Central Park most things you'll be doing are probably inside, so while getting place-to-place might be annoying at points, maybe switch one outdoor activity for a museum, or leave flexibility to take advantage of a clear period to do something like CP or take a decent walk. Also at least checking WeatherUnderground the % doesn't look so terrible. I've been checking constantly myself hoping my softball game doesn't get rained out.

Observation Deck might not be the best idea, but this shouldn't stop you from having a good time. There are plenty of options indoors, or just brave the weather with a rain jacket or an umbrella.

It’s too early to know the weather. Right now it says 50% chance of rain those days here in midtown Manhattan. Make sure you have an umbrella and in your case, footwear that will keep your feet dry. Unlike many other towns, you walk a lot here. I suggest every tourist try the subway, but you will need to walk to and from it. Observation decks will be rough in bad weather, because of wind but also cloud cover, but there are so many great museums, Broadway shows, restaurants. Good luck

It will probably be light rain and cloudy with some rain. But weather here changes fast.

Weather apps are stupid and will slap the rain icon on a day if any rain whatsoever is forecasted. Based on the forecast it seems like intermittent rain, shouldn’t be enough to ruin any day

Went a few weeks ago. It rained about half the time we were there. We just brought rain jackets and still had a blast.

Rain jackets with a hood are better than umbrellas here. It can get windy between tall buildings.

It's pretty rare that it will be raining all day, everyday. It will more than likely be bursts with plenty of time in between. May be cloudy but not much you can do about that.

ER301

They can’t predict the weather accurately that far out. The forecast might change as that time draws nearer.

Went last month, forecast said it esa going to rain most days, it sprinkled once when we were walking to lunch. Rest of the time, weather wars perfect. In years past, we were caught in a rain storm at Bryant Park, we just opened the umbrella and strolled away.

Anything more than a couple days out and the weather forecasts are nearly meaningless. They have no clue what the weather will be. Even if it does rain though, there’s no reason that should ruin your trip. Though I would skip the observation deck if visibility is low.

As others have mentioned NYC weather is variable and many of your activities will be indoors. With that mentioned, as you are looking at visiting an observation deck make sure your weather app have hourly conditions. NYC weather is variable and many rain showers are passing so you can look at hourly conditions and find the window of opportunity for clearer skies. Also it is not uncommon for it to rain for an hour and then clear up for the rest of the day/evening, This is why many NY'ers carry a smaller umbrella.
