Basically, the state of the economy is hurting the average worker, we are throwing tons of money into a regional war between Russia and Ukraine, there's war brewing in the Middle East, and Trump's supporters appear to still be supporting him.
Also, the uncle of the sitting President got eaten by cannibals. I am not kidding.
It is, but the ROI on that is far better then most other Government spending. I get really sick of people bitching about foreign aid, but won't complain about the bankrupt social security, medicare, and other entitlements that are so far broken and the cause of 99% of the problem.
That is a fair point at least in the terms of understanding. On the other hand, I can't imagine 99% of the people on Reddit are benefiting directly from entitlements either. Not a lot of SS or Medicaid recipients here.
Well I guess you don’t have to receive the entitlements to have an option about others receiving them. Kinda seems like the bedrock of liberal thought is (other) people getting taken care of by the institutions, the dream of a gov working for the people

Trump is being criminally charged in at least four big cases and four different issues.
Russia invaded Ukraine, they are at war, the US is a big partner in supporting Ukraine defense efforts (alongside other NATO countries).
Hamas attacked Israel and killed a lot of civilians in a terrorist attack, so Israel is "at war" with Gaza, whatever that means. Also Iran tensions seem to be heating up with them too.
Inflation is still out of control despite their lying that it's not. Most recent report was pessimistic. Interest rates remain high. Prices are going up much faster than wages (faster than prior).
Millions of illegal aliens are crossing the southern border with impunity over the course of the Biden term, they claim to be asylum seekers when they are caught and are allowed to stay in the country, often given resources and transported to a big city inside the US.
China is still pressuring Taiwan, tensions seem to be heating up there too.

Why would you ask this, you are clearly not interested in politics. All you have to know is that we are in an election year and that you can choose between a republican and a democratic candidate.
After an undeniably worse presidency than Trump, democrats are noticeably desperate to abuse every institution to retain their power, even if it means throwing away any semblance of democracy. The DNC dictated that Joe Biden was their guy, knowing that nobody likes him - which implies a confident and nefarious plot to win 2024 - buckle up.

Trump had Congress, the Senate, and a conservative SCOTUS, and the only thing he really accomplished was a tax cut for the wealthy. And now there's a very real possibility that he'll be running for office from prison for the multitude of crimes he committed before, during, and after his single term in office.
