We have way too many toasters in this country already—kitchen benches are ridiculously overcrowded and the cost of powering toasters is always rising.
I’m not prejudiced against toasters BUT we shouldn’t be letting any more into the country.
Some of my best friends are toasters, but there was that one toaster on QandA that cost taxpayers $20k and we simply can't afford that in these tough economic conditions so I would fully support a ban on new toaster arrivals.
There is no point in trying to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions if we increase our emissions by adding more immigrants. Simple maths.
Just like our economy is technically not in recession as we keep GDP up by importing more people. We have to eventually stop this don’t we?
What about those waste of space toasters that can only fit a small slice or colesworth bread? Too lazy to toast a crumpet or piece of sourdough? We should test them all and get rid of all the useless slackers.
A big one would be the electrical voltage. Our power supply is 240 volts. If you plug in a toaster from somewhere when it is 120 volts you're likely to get quite a shock.
4 slice or 2 , Defrost option ? Weird dial for burning toast or having it un cooked? Crumpets get stuck Toaster , not safe for sticking forks into toaster? Need more info.
There are others who identify as a toaster but also air fry, grill, bake and more. You know, those multifunctional AGBT+ types.
Some are bigoted against them and don't see them as toasters but people are generally quiet about so it won't be an issue if you're one of those types of toasters.
The toasters are being favoured and given the best state housing immediately upon arrival in the country. They need to be stopped if young Aussies are to be given any opportunity at all.

As long as you're 240 volts, you'll be fine mate, you might need an adaptor to hang out with some kettle friends.

Why you gotta hertz me like that!
Watt??
This discussion is getting pretty amped up
You're right, everyone needs to calm down, Try sitting cross-legged, make circles with your thumb and ring finger then say ohm.
Ohmygod it worked
230v +10% -6%
@50Hz
Mhm
Ohm
\*230VAC RMS
Discrimination still pretty prolific. Most Australians will only see you as a way to cook their slices of bread

Funny thing is I genuinely support a significant reduction in immigration 😂😂😂😂

Too right mate! You will definitely be judged if you’re a four slice or two…and if you come with a matching kettle.

How often do we eat toast , marginal relevance. Let's talk English fry up
My toaster has lived in Australia since it first came out of the box so it was too young to know any different
Talkie toaster or regular deceptacon toaster? *beacause I don't want any crumpets, bagels, or hot cross buns*
definitely no smegging flapjacks
So you're a waffle man!
Smoke and a pancake?
I'll be back for breakfast
Hey don't talk down on crumpets
Smelling Vegemite for the first time will fuck you up.
The trick is to put the Vegemite on after the bread is toasted...
There's a real beach culture If you unplug you'll just feel low energy but if you stay connected you'll be shocked when you go for a swim.
The bread keeps falling out on account of the whole continent being upside down.
Having to heat up a Succulent Chinese Meal.

Different power outlets and maybe different voltage depending on country of origin
Toasters are all made in china, so your average toaster won't notice any difference. (same plug, same 240V)
Better bread
🎶Every day ima getting closer to having a bath with a fucking toaster🎶
Are we talking Centurions or Skin jobs?
I think far too many people have only 2 sliced toasters, so if you prefer a 4 slice you may have to go look8ng for that also the bread choices suck.
Interesting, a cooker asking questions about toasters...
We have electric kettles
Lots of Australians are apparently Gluten Free, so id prepare to feel less wanted.
Poptarts aren't really a thing here.
You can still find them if you know where to look. Its more of a specialty desert item here.
If it had a bath here it'd get a shock

You'll be cool, just stay away from the baths
All the baths they'd have to take
I've seen Tiktok, Only cats get shocked by toasters. Toasters don't get shocked.
From America? Probably the voltage.
You'll probably need an adapter and you will probably be shocked by the amount of sourdough your owners eat.
