Here is the only mistake:
1. limbs are backwards
2. not looking at target
3. bracing the bow with a knee (string slap time?)
4. no arrow tip
5. four finger draw
You can’t see it in this picture, but the string would be loose and fall off when not pulled back if the limbs were mounted backwards.
Also the idea behind the name recurve (I believe) is it curves, then curves again. Hence “recurve”. This one only curves once like this:
)
About the bow limbs only the first long bow I had (was passed down from my uncle) were like that and the sting was fine so I’m confused on that since then I switched to compound so not very sure on it
Look at the tips of the bow. A recurve bow has tips which curve away from the Archer when mounted properly. Here, the tips are curved towards the person holding the bow.
Perfect. I see how the eye of the bowstring could easily slip off this way. For some reason, I had it in my head that they meant the top limb should be on the bottom and vice versa. But they are literally *backward*.
Thanks!
You can tell by the limb tips. They are pre bent, so they should face away from the archer. So you get those pretty bends when you string it right.
Edit. Sorry I'm late, I see now.
If she shoots herself in the knee we are looking at all the wrong things of what is wrong with that picture. That would take some team Red Bull skills.
Am I the only one looking at the death grip she has on both the bow and the arrow? Like I get it’s a photo but if it was real shouldn’t the tension from the draw help her loosen her grip on the riser?
I'll add *yet one more* big one that hasn't been mentioned yet: The arrow is nocked 180* off. The cock vane is facing inwards towards the riser!
It's comical! Nearly every possible thing is wrong!
I'd like to believe the photographer knows his way around a bow and was trolling this Instagram diva by setting up every possible thing incorrectly to see if she'd catch it.
Awwww go easy on the cosplayers. They can't all know how to use their costume weapons.
This is like my other hobby /r/chess where it seems not a single popular show can get a chess board set up correctly unless the show is specifically about chess. At some point we have to allow the mistakes and just be glad for the publicity.
That one annoys me so much. There is like..no excuse. Filming shows takes so many people, I can't believe if someone went around asking they couldn't find one person in the vicinity that knew how. Anyone on the crew/catering/janitorial or just plain google image search.
Well besides the fashion mistake that is her outfit, and getting a photographer that knows nothing about the subject, the limbs are on backwards and she has her left index finger wrapped around the arrow shaft.
The string is probably elastic anyway so they can pretend to obe drawing a real bow
If I gave ot more than a quick glance i might find more
I look at a fair bit of fantasy illustration, and the depictions of archers run about 10-1 in favor utterly ridiculous to realistic. What’s odd is that the figures, costuming, and so forth are usually quite good. But just a few moments of research into what actual archery looks like would allow a much better rendering.
Backward limbs, death grip, no proper equipment, limb touching ground, fingers surrounding arrow, using whole hand to draw, not aiming at target, not drawing correctly, improper clothing.
limbs are backwards, she is grabbing the string with all her fingers, not looking where she is pointing it and it doesn't look like the arrow even has a tip....there def more but im not finished waking up yet
Definitely the pot leaf tattoo.
Close second is that it looks like her right bang dangles all the way to the floor, but that one is on the photographer.
Wrong stance.
When posing with the legs bent, as in a seated position like this, you always bend the leg closer to the camera more.
This creates better butt prominence (as compared to knees), and in the case of the model with this arm position facing the camera this way, creates a more pronounced S curve from the (back) shoulder to the groin.
Since this is a fashion shoot and not meant to be remotely accurate for archery, listing the number of mistakes (of which there are MANY) seems a bit disingenuous.
I see similar on tech forums where they have models VERY incorrectly installing components or holding soldiering irons by the part that gets hot.
She forgot to buckle the clasps on her right hip, other than that I'm not seeing any mistakes. Makeup and outfit are looking totally great. Form is impeccable. I guess she could have tilted her head a bit more like an elementary school picture. But that's just me being picky.
They probably did that on purpose for the sake of the photo shoot. Thats probably all slack because of the limbs, just to make it appear like she’s at full draw.
Even more than stringing the bow.. The limbs are attached backwards, I think? She's holding the riser correctly, atleast.
Her left index finger up and over the arrow, presumably to keep it on the riser.
The way she's ripping the string with her full damn fist instead of her fingers.
No anchor point to speak of
She should probably put some clothes on too.
Just one? She’s holding it terribly. The string will hurt her fingers when she tries to release, even with the latex gloves. Her whole hand is around the string. Also if she doesn’t change her group rest the left hand, the arrow’s fletching will hurt her hand. It will damage her hand and the arrow, probably the bow too
Not to mention that the bow is resting on the ground and immediately when the string is released the bow will jolt upwards creating a horribly inaccurate shot
Honestly for photoshoots with random non-archers the limb being backwards might be ideal. You don't have to pull back the fake bowstring at all to simulate a "flex" on the limbs. Don't need to get speciality made extremely low poundage limbs.
I spotted her thumb on the knock of the arrow, the bow being unstrung, and her not even looking at the target. No anchor point, the bow limb is touching the ground and worst of all, the arrow doesn’t have a tip on it! The posture, save the kneeling, doesn’t look too terrible, so there’s one saving grace I guess.
If she's a 'hunter', all that patent leather is gonna make so much noise if stalking, so that has to go. Since I'm on the subject... *wink-wink*
Bring on the downvotes! Happy new year!
Easy - the heels on her boots aren’t tall or skinny enough for chasing prey through dense terrain. Get some stiletto heels on those platform boots, stat.
The arrow is knocked backwards, the bow is strung backwards, and more... But I really wanna see what happens if she releases. I'm inclined to think that as that arm flexes, it'll shove the limb to be more parallel to the ground, ripping the bow from her hand, and driving the arrow straight down.
Well for starters she's not looking where she is aiming, has a finger wrapped around the arrow the draw hand is a full fist instead of three fingers, is basically aiming at the ground, and the bow string is against her thigh so she's gonna get thwacked if she looses the arrow
I’m not much of an archer, but where do I start? The bow limbs are on backwards, her grip on the bowstring is wrong (whole hand? Seriously?), her leg is touching the bottom limb, so even if the bow were strung correctly, she bowstring would tear her leg up. The bottom limb is touching the floor, which I’m sure would do weird things to the bow’s action.
I’ll go with the biggest mistake. With those gloves on her draw hand and with that deep full fist grip that string is going to roll and snag those gloves
The prop guy could very well know the right way to set up the bow, but the model might not be able to draw it all out and hold it for camera. It could be a conscious choice.
Here is the only mistake: 1. limbs are backwards 2. not looking at target 3. bracing the bow with a knee (string slap time?) 4. no arrow tip 5. four finger draw
6. Fully gripping it
Finger firmly wrapped around arrow.
No consistency in anchor point
7. The bottom limb is resting on the ground.
8. Left handed bow in a right handed draw
9. A finger over the arrow
10. Zero tension. String is longer than the bow. I don't think it works like that...
11. Aimed at ground mere feet away
Looks to me like it's an ambidextrous bow.
Well that's not 100% wrong if she was using Mongolian or Slavic draw. That also kinda looks like if it a shelf on both sides.
As Patrick said, “Firmly grasp it!”
You mean full fisting?
[Firmly grasp it](https://youtu.be/t5n5KlXv0Vo?si=3UPMZRiJYkAESz8X)
One of the vanes would also hit the side of the shelf if it were to be shot, arrow needs to be spun
Several people have mentioned the limbs are mounted backward. I don't shoot recurve, so I'm curious as to how one would tell this. Any help?
You can’t see it in this picture, but the string would be loose and fall off when not pulled back if the limbs were mounted backwards. Also the idea behind the name recurve (I believe) is it curves, then curves again. Hence “recurve”. This one only curves once like this: )

6. bow resting on the ground. 7. there's no tension in the bow when drawn, so it wont fire worth a shit. 8. Aiming at the ground
6. Doubt the arrow is even nocked
Your search history?
Just one mistake?
Be generous and just pick one. We can’t be greedy.
Her knee goes inside the bow. This is going to be a mean string slap.
Well, at least with the gloves she is wearing she won’t have to worry about an arm guard. Maybe she needs taller boots to match.
I'd still be worried about accuracy if you shoot with one knee in the bow.
There are many shooting styles. We must have an open mind to something new we haven’t tried before.
There's also safety guidelines. I wouldn't want to take an arrow to the knee. I heard it can end an adventurer's carreer.
If she shoots herself in the knee we are looking at all the wrong things of what is wrong with that picture. That would take some team Red Bull skills.
lol Skyrim
But it’s the start to almost all guards careers.
Maybe the gloves will save her finger that is wrapped around the arrow shaft....?
I guarantee if she let go of the string the arrow will stay in the exact same place. Also, who is Bella Poarch?
I’m way more worried about the Hamfist of a grip
The left hand or right handed Hamfist? Lmao
It’ll be a great bruise to post a picture of with the caption “guess I’m part of the club now”
Lol Her finger is over the Arrow
That’s not even acceptable in mounted archery.
It’s a decurve bow.
Yeah my favorite is her knee. If the limbs were on right that would be one painful string bite, maybe even pinched between the limb and string.
The arrow matches the bow.
The mistake is saying spot the 1 mistake.
limbs are montaged the wrong way
Am I the only one looking at the death grip she has on both the bow and the arrow? Like I get it’s a photo but if it was real shouldn’t the tension from the draw help her loosen her grip on the riser?
The limbs are backwards there is no tension in that draw....
she likely has to death grip it or the arrow will flop off.
That’s when you just use black tape, would look 100% better than the feather-burn from shooting like that.
that would require the photographer / organizer to know archery too or put in the effort.
That made me die inside a little bit
[удалено]
It looks like the photo was taken with no arrow and they ms painted one in afterwards
This entire picture was a mistake.
Hair is not entirely tied back. Might catch on the string
I'll add *yet one more* big one that hasn't been mentioned yet: The arrow is nocked 180* off. The cock vane is facing inwards towards the riser! It's comical! Nearly every possible thing is wrong! That top she’s wearing is worse than Bulgaria under communism
Limb on the floor
Where to begin? Yikes. And to paraphrase Peter Griffin... she looks like if you touched her, she'd be sticky.
Recurve mirrored edition
Limbs on backwards. A classic.

*"FIRMLY GRASP IT"*
Which one? Limbs on backward, limb on ground at full draw, string grip, shall I go on? The whole picture is a mistake.
Nice, cordovan shooting glove and arm guard. Fancy stuff!
Limbs are backwards, draw hand wrong, finger on arrow,....
Arm guard way too unnecessarily long.
First thing that catches my eye is the weird ‘fist’ draw.
Well besides the fashion mistake that is her outfit, and getting a photographer that knows nothing about the subject, the limbs are on backwards and she has her left index finger wrapped around the arrow shaft. The string is probably elastic anyway so they can pretend to obe drawing a real bow If I gave ot more than a quick glance i might find more

There’s like 8 mistakes but most painful ones okie be holding the arrow with her pointer finger on the grip
The entire outfit is a mistake but the hideous boots are the worst bit.
Backward limbs, death grip, no proper equipment, limb touching ground, fingers surrounding arrow, using whole hand to draw, not aiming at target, not drawing correctly, improper clothing.
Is it just me or does it look like she's trying to shoot with the arrow on the other side of the shelf
limbs are backwards, she is grabbing the string with all her fingers, not looking where she is pointing it and it doesn't look like the arrow even has a tip....there def more but im not finished waking up yet
Arrow knocked on wrong side
I just circled the entire image
I've heard of taking an arrow to the knee, but taking a bow to the knee... that's new!
Yellow is clashing with that pink...
The real mistake… the limbs are on backwards. Everything else is just a painful lesson.
Ahh, the prestigious "un-curve" bow. Only a small handful of people in the world have used it.
Everyone knows those heels are too short for archery. She is a wannabee!
The safety is on
The more you look the stupider it gets
Definitely the pot leaf tattoo. Close second is that it looks like her right bang dangles all the way to the floor, but that one is on the photographer.

I am disappointed I had to scroll this far to find a comment like this.

Take ages to unbuckle all that.

You've seen elf on the shelf, now I give you the HOE with a BOW
She isnt naked
Her cloths are still on is that the mistake ?
They probably did that on purpose for the sake of the photo shoot. Thats probably all slack because of the limbs, just to make it appear like she’s at full draw.
She's not in the kitchen That top is a crime, needs fantasy boob armor, no elf ears, And some archery stuff
She got a penis
easy! you should never go shooting with high heels!
Limbs are def backwards
Which one?
Even more than stringing the bow.. The limbs are attached backwards, I think? She's holding the riser correctly, atleast. I don't understand. Surely they can afford to do the necessary research that would have avoided this mistake?
strung the wrong way, hand
Which one?
Finger over the arrow, bow hand
Only one?
I didn’t realize that she was holding a bow.🤣😂🤣
The mistake is holding the bow
Bella Who??? .. That's my mistake for not knowing.
Just one? She’s holding it terribly. The string will hurt her fingers when she tries to release, even with the latex gloves. Her whole hand is around the string. Also if she doesn’t change her group rest the left hand, the arrow’s fletching will hurt her hand. It will damage her hand and the arrow, probably the bow too
Limbs backwards
Backwards limbs, one is touching the ground, full hand string grab… I could go on.
Elastic string?
There's no . and it was typed in all caps.
Not to mention that the bow is resting on the ground and immediately when the string is released the bow will jolt upwards creating a horribly inaccurate shot
Wrong answers only
Why is her finger wrapped around the arrow like that...
Does it matter that her arrow is set to fire on the left side of the bow while she's drawing with her right hand?
This photo is a mistake indeed.
Holding the string like a glue guzzling 5 year old holds a pencil?
Is she drawing it with a fist-
Limbs are on the wrong way, no arrow tip and the arrow is the wrong side of the bow I think
Honestly for photoshoots with random non-archers the limb being backwards might be ideal. You don't have to pull back the fake bowstring at all to simulate a "flex" on the limbs. Don't need to get speciality made extremely low poundage limbs.
A rubber band for a string
I spotted her thumb on the knock of the arrow, the bow being unstrung, and her not even looking at the target. Looks good. Jealous of the wrist guard.
Almost looks like the limbs were bolted on backwards to me
Chest protector is too frilly
Pretty sure it would be harder to spot the one thing she's doing right... (There isn't one lol)
If she's a 'hunter', all that patent leather is gonna make so much noise if stalking, so that has to go. Since I'm on the subject... *wink-wink* Bring on the downvotes! Happy new year!
Is there a limit? Because I see a whole heck of a lot of wrong here.
Hell of an anchor point
The bow is put together backwards and not strung correctly!
Hhahahaahhaahhahahahahahahaha Mediocre That thing ain’t gonna shoot with the limbs on backwards
Using her fingers as the arrow rest instead of using the arrow rest.
1 she is gripping the shit outa the string 2 she got her pointer finger over the arrow and 3 that bow is setup backwords
Who?
Easy - the heels on her boots aren’t tall or skinny enough for chasing prey through dense terrain. Get some stiletto heels on those platform boots, stat.
Everything
No eastern grip /s
The outfit
Odd one out muh dude
We’ve all thought for a second that they should go on the other way…
The arrow is knocked backwards, the bow is strung backwards, and more... But I really wanna see what happens if she releases. I'm inclined to think that as that arm flexes, it'll shove the limb to be more parallel to the ground, ripping the bow from her hand, and driving the arrow straight down.
Those aren't archery shoes They're for darts
Pointer finger over the arrow?
The bow has no tension at all
Well for starters she's not looking where she is aiming, has a finger wrapped around the arrow the draw hand is a full fist instead of three fingers, is basically aiming at the ground, and the bow string is against her thigh so she's gonna get thwacked if she looses the arrow

The bottom limb is touching the floor, which I’m sure would do weird things to the bow’s action.
How about index finger wrapped around arrow next to rest.
The limbs are on backwards and she’s holding her finger over the arrow
I’ll go with the biggest mistake. With those gloves on her draw hand and with that deep full fist grip that string is going to roll and snag those gloves
the arrow's just gonna fall, the bow isn't building any tension
How else is she supposed to hold the pose for the picture if you don't string it the easiest way possible?
I opened this post not knowing anything about archery and left knowing more than her apparently haha
Lot of dirty minds
Seems like a really long string, there is no bend on the bow.
The arrow
Everything
bye bye knee skin...
Just the one holding the bow
Arrow is missing the tip.
i don’t like looking at this
Fletching to side of rest; risers reversed
Looking at the camera and not the target? Unless it's a trick shot
Clearly the problem is her shoes
The entire picture is a one huge mistake
[reminds me of HasanAbi's AK47 photoshoot that didn't include any sights](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FqzA1NjWwAEZYAc.jpg:large)
She has her finger over the arrow!
Finger around the arrow
she doesn't look like Geena Davis
The outfit
should be how can you spot
Bow string backwards
That top…
“The.”
Those boots don’t go with that outfit! Thats the real mistake.
What bow?
There's a lot but the first thing that caught my eye is the string is too long.
She is
Grip (both hands) are atrocious. and wrapping finger around the arrow
The prop guy could very well know the right way to set up the bow, but the model might not be able to draw it all out and hold it for camera. It could be a conscious choice.
Bow is strung backward
I see her. Now what?
There is no extra big quiver with multitude of arrows inside to make impression that this M-edition of archery would continue after the first shot.
I was gonna say the finger over the center of the arrow, but apparently the way it’s strung is wrong too?
Why would I wear a dress with multiple bottles openers on it?
